Miranda rolled her eyes and pretended not to be offended. "What a stupid comeback," she said. "Can't you think of anything better?"
("I could," Jen said. "But this RP is supposed to be PG-rated." ((Just kidding, just kidding!)))
"I could," Jen said, "and I would say it, but then you wouldn't be very happy."
Miranda only stared.

Peter smiled at Jen. It was like she always knew what to say. "Hey Jen, wanna come to my house? Lyn?"

"Sure!" Lyneya said. The three of them turned their backs on Miranda.
Suddenly, the enraged Miranda lunged at Peter's head and grabbed a fistful of hair and pulled HARD.

Peter yelped as he felt a harsh tug on his hair and quickly turned to see Miranda, with a clump of hair in her hands. "What did you do that for?"
Miranda waved the short hair in Peter's face. "This? like I said, You look better bald." Then, she got something out of her bag and Peter saw a pair of scissors. "Put those away," he said, not sure of whether or not to hold his hair and take off running. Then, if he did he would look like a wimp and prove everyone right that he was in love with his hair.

Jen's mouth opened wide. What was it with everyone and Peter's hair? Peter's hair was not long and he doesn't want his hair long. He made sure it stayed above the collar bone. Only the back was mid neck. The sides were to mid ear and the front was almost eyebrow length. "Leave him alone Miranda."
Miranda laughed, "He's getting what he deserves for calling me a boy"

Peter said, "You stay away, Miranda."
Miranda turned to Jen and Lyn, see that? He is so in love with his hair, he can't say 'please'."
Peter rolled his eyes and turned to walk away. "Come on, Jen and Lyn."

At that moment, Miranda grabbed a chunk of his hair close to the the side and cut it. Jen had shouted to him "Look out!" But, the hair was already in her hand.

At the sound of Jen's yell, Peter truned around and noticed more of his hair in Miranda's hand and some on the scissors. He felt the hair right around his ear. She had cut it off! "What did you do that for?"

Miranda waved the scissors in his face. "Punishment, remember? Anyways, I'd go get the other side cut. Looks a little silly."

Peter did not want to sound like a wimp or like someone obsessed with their hair, so he said, "Fine."
Jen yelled, "Peter, no!"
Peter said, "It will grow...eventually." He tried to keep his voice from faltering. "But not Miranda. I'm going to get Miley to fix it." As soon as he truend around, he heard some more scissors snippging and felt more hair falling, so he decided he and the girls should run faster, which they did and eventaully got away form Miranda. Soon, they rushed into Miley's car. Peter said, "Hey Miley, Hey Chrissa."

"Hey Peter." Chrissa glanced up and smiled, but her smile faded when she caught sight of Peter's hair and the girls' worried faces. "Oh. My. Gosh. Peter, what happened to you?"

Peter said, "Miranda pulled some of it out and cut some of it. I felt her cutting off more before we got here. I need to even it up." He touched the stub of hair around his ear, then noticed some on the back of his neck was missing."how bad is it?"
Miley answered, "We will have to cut it." There was a sadness in her eyes, showing she really didn't want to. When they got to her house, Peter started shaking nervously. He accepted Miley's hug and tried to convince her that it would be okay.

Chrissa was watching Miley cut his hair. A few tears slipped from his eyes. When Miley was done, Chrissa leaned over and craned her neck to see better. "Oh, it's not too bad, Peter. Really, it's just a little bit around your neck. It'll grow back eventually," she assured him.

Peter looked in the mirror, with his face still blotchy. the sides were now touching the ear and the back was to his neck. Because Miranda had pulled some of it out and cut off some hair in the back, without him knowing where in the back he was scared it was going to be shorter than it ended up being. Sure, the sides were shorter than they were last summer but Chrissa was right. It will grow back. He looked at Chrissa. "Thanks."
Miley put an arm around him. "Are you okay?"
Peter nodded. "Yeah."

Chrissa smiled and patted Peter on the shoulder. "Don't worry, it'll grow back soon and it still looks nice the way it is now." Chrissa turned to Jen and Lyn. "What exactly did Miranda do to you guys?"

Jen said, "She was trying to turn us against Peter." Then, she held Peter's hand, to let him know he still had her support.

The next day at school, Peter spotted Zach near his locker and rushed up tp him. "Hey, great practice."

Stacey noticed Peter's hair and truned to Ally, oh my gosh he cut his hair!"

"You think?" Zach grinned. "Okay, admittedly, we did win most of the pair-up drills..." He faded off, not saying what happened after the practice.

"He what?" Ally snapped around and let a huge bear grin escape onto her face. "It's not even done decently," she snickered.

Peter cheerfully said, "That was awesome! One of them was a little tough though, I will have to work my fakes."

Stacey looked at him one more time. "Doesn't seem sad at all about it."

Peter decided to look for Kayla, with Jen and Lyn. He spotted her near her locker. "Hey Kayla!"

MIranda pulled Nicole aside and snickered,. "Look at his hair. Thought I'd give him a makeover. Too bad he seems to like his hair. I think will cut it shorter when I ge the chance."

Nicole's eyebrows shot up as she studied Peter as he made his way over to Kayla. His hair WAS a lot shorter. He didn't seem too upset about it. Nicole didn't know if that was a good sign or a bad sign. "You're gonna cut it even shorter?" she whispered to Miranda. Perhaps Peter would finally learn his lesson.

Miranda saw teh relieved look on Nicole's face. "Yes, and you will help me. ONce Kayla's back is turned you take one side, I take the other and we start snipping."

Nicole hesitated for just a second. Could she do this? Would it land her in trouble with the teacher - or even worse - the principal's office? She quickly made up her mind and squared her shoulders. "I'll do it. Do you have scissors?"
