Mark replied Will do he replied before he pulled a peice of paper out and wrote on it "Terrerance, we have a guest" and then turned it into a paper airplane. Then said "gánga finna vodhr Terrance" he said, the air plane took off a flew in the kitten's direction.

He turned to see Malachi come out of the chapel behind him, he motioned for him to stay right where he was "Neal's very polite and freindly nemisis has arived" he said sarcasticly and quietly as he could.

If you ain't first, you're last.

Caerwyn looked between Karl and Neal, sensing the immediate tension in the air. He did not speak, but merely watched as the two Unnaturals spoke together in mock-politeness. He cocked his head as Neal sent a mental message to Mark, wondering what Mr. T would do. Probably not much, he mused.

Still, the uneasy feeling he had did not ease, and he glanced back at the chapel, hoping Curse would stay put.

Kanti eyed the girl with a frown, "I suppose...If that's the only way for this to work, she'll have to," now that she was taking risks, Kanti wasn't against going all the way.

---

"I'm more of a custard filling guy myself," Cyrano answered, turning to meet Melanie's eyes. He couldn't believe he was thinking about how pretty her eyes were while they were headed off to complete some insane undercover that could cause him to lose his job...

---

Satin turned as Malachi passed her, heading out the doors. Brow furrowed she looked around, noting that Mark and Neal had disappeared as well. Surely if something was wrong Mr. T. wouldn't still be standing up at the front of the chapel, acting like he was a happy parent of one of the kissing vampires.

Just as she thought this, a paper airplane flew magically through the crack in the chapel doors and stopped in front of Terrance as Zaref broke away from the kiss smiling. Satin watched from the back, one hand gripping tight to the edge of the pew.

The feeling of dread holding her breath was confirmed as Terrance suddenly transformed into his white tiger form and bounded down the aisle and burst through the doors. Skidding to a stop at the bottom of the stairs, Terrance took in the situation, noting that this one foe could not be so dreadful. He felt relieved, but approached cautiously nonetheless, pausing just behind Neal.

"What's going on?" Curse mused inside and stood slowly. Tilting her head curiously, the half-witch walked towards the now open doors and stood in the shadow of the chapel's portico, eyes falling on Caerwyn's small form.

"Time for drinks then?" Talullah announced to the almost empty chapel with a smirk. She headed to the table where the special blood concoction had been prepared and poured herself a glass slowly.

"Figures something had to happen," Zaref said, not sounding very concerned at all. He smiled over at Selena. "I'm sure Terrance can handle whatever it is. How about you and me get out of here- go stay up by the waterfall for tonight?" It was his wedding, and he was determined not to let Talullah or any other unwelcome guests ruin it.

---

"I was thinking now," Naomi said, answering Josh before she turned back to Indigo, "You sure you don't want to come? You're more than welcome among our pack."

---

Darileen looked towards the other voice, wondering who the woman was. "I didn't murder anyone...I mean, that's not why I'm here. I didn't even have a trial. One minute Victor and I were walking through the woods and the next-" she winced and pushed back her wet, white hair again, "Is that what Aspros is? A prison?" Darileen swayed slightly on her feet, but blamed it on adjusting to the earth not rocking beneath her like the ship had.

Odi came out from the protection of the trees and slowly approached the group. He wasn't a fan of crowds, but finding out what this new lady had to say seemed like a good idea. Especially if she had anything that'd be worth selling to Joe.

---

"Sir...there's someone here to see you. Says you'll want to hear what she'll have to-"

Edmond slammed his hand against his desk loudly enough to be heard through his phone.

"S-Sorry sir, but she said it's about...TP? Says you'll-"

"Send her up," Edmond answered and then hung up. He put the cell down on his spotless desk and then frowned. He knew it would be exactly three minutes before the elevator would reach his apartment. That meant a little time for consideration.

Soundlessly, he rose and crossed over open floor to the pseudo living room where his black couches squared off fake separation from the rest of the floor. A laptop sat on the coffee table there. Personally, Edmond abhorred technology, or anything that threatened enslavement for that matter. It was useful for communication though. Currently the screen was full of typed letters, an email from Ruth.

List of Unnaturals in Woods... Edmond smirked, as if he needed that. Still his curiosity had gotten the better of him and he'd scrolled through only minutes before the phone call from the guard downstairs. Her name wasn't there, somehow it'd put him in a foul mood. This visitor, whoever she was, seemed to be the perfect opportunity to rid himself of this temper.

As if on cue, the elevator that opened directly into his flat, arrived. The doors parted, revealing the unassuming figure of a young woman. Edmond pivoted on his heel to face her fully and observe. He did not know her- that was frustrating, but TP had a way of hiding their members very efficiently.

Ziya smiled at the man in front of her and stepped into the apartment, hearing the elevator doors shut behind her. The sound would have frightened most, or at least those who had any inkling of who they were in the company of. Ziya knew and was not afraid.

Shaking her wavy bangs out of her face, the woman took another step towards the couch grouping, folding her arms behind her back. Since Edmond was taking the moment to unabashedly study her, she reciprocated. It was easy to admire the lean figure of the man. He was dressed in all black, and the shape of his muscle was evident beneath the fabric of a button down dress shirt and his slacks.

"Have a seat," Edmond offered, finding the woman to be entirely average as far as looks were concerned.

Ziya's attention was drawn to the man's face, half-covered in swooping black hair. The suggestion of the scars beneath it was just barely present, but she knew all to well what it looked like. His file with TP was blessed with one photo of the man, back when his hair had been shaved for surgical proceedings.

"You must think I'm very stupid for coming here," Ziya offered as she smoothed her black skirt and sat down on the edge of the couch.

Edmond's jaw twitched as he observed her smile, "Ignorant or powerful, you'll have to clue me in," he answered slowly, sliding his hands into his pockets as he sat across from her. "But then again, what should I expect from someone TP sends."

"They didn't send me. I came on my own," Ziya stated matter-of-factly. "They sent me to find out who was behind everything in that town...but I'm the one who decided to come to you on my own. The Project has no idea who their facing, for now."

Edmond's eyes narrowed, "So you're suicidal?"

Laughing, Ziya shook her head, "Ooh...That'd be ironic. Actually I was just interested in talking to you."

"Talking to me about what?"

"About why you're doing this- I mean I've seen your file, I understand most of it I think. But you're going about things in a strange way. After all that's happened you should have made your decisive move before the TP found out about you. Now we know and you're only on the brink of making an opening move...What are you waiting for?"

"You'll pardon me if I don't answer," Edmond answered, his one black eye flashing.

"I wanted to give you the chance to, if you wanted. Life can get lonely. Especially for people like us," Ziya answered, standing up suddenly. "I know that from living long, just like you."

"Being immortal doesn't mean you can escape pain. What makes you think I'll even let you leave?" Edmond asked, having moved to block her way before a normal person could even blink.

Ziya smiled, unruffled by the threat. She raised a hand and touched his shoulder gently as she moved to give his cheek a platonic kiss. "You'll let me go, because you want the Project to know who their dealing with and because you know I'm the only sanity left in the operation."

"Insanity maybe," Edmond answered, wondering why this woman made him feel so entirely out of control. The sound of the elevator doors opening drew him from his reverie to find she'd already stepped inside.

"The name's Ziya by the way. It was nice to meet you Edmond- see you again soon," she offered with a small wave as the doors shut.

It's empty in the valley of your heart. The sun, it rises slowly as you walk. Away from all the fears. And all the faults you've left behind.

So long...for now.

Karl smiled at the sound of the chapel doors being flung open. It meant they knew he was here. "Well Neal, are you going to introduce me or not?" the Hybrid asked with a slight nod to the large, white tiger that was now standing by the Darkling. "The names Karl. I'm an old friend of Neal's, though he seems to wish I would go away and leave him alone now...." Karl said before Neal could utter a word.

"He's more of an acquaintance actually. Someone I used to trust...." Neal added glancing down at Terrance before returning his attention to Karl.

"Yes, back in your bounty hunting days...." Karl added as he crossed his arms over his chest. The Hybrid took special note of the sudden tenseness of the Darkling at the mention of his past profession. "Wait, have you not told them about your past? About how you used to butcher vamps and the like with me for the highest profit?" Karl inquired in surprise, enjoying making his old partner very uncomfortable at the mention of his old life. "Ha! I thought you would have let them now what kind of creature they were letting stay with them...." Karl's taunting was suddenly cut short by Neal's hand around his throat.

"That's enough!" Neal said through gritted teeth as he tightened his grip around Karl's throat. "You've had your fun now leave. There's nothing else for you around here." the Darkling added as he let go of Karl's throat, half pushing the Hybrid back before moving his hand down to his revolver.

"You still need to learn to control your temper... And actually, there is one more thing I need to do." Karl said rubbing his throat and turning to Caerwyn. "Tell the vamp couple I send my condolences on their wedding." The Hybrid said with a wry grin before walking to the center of the clearing. "One last thing Neal, don't get too attached to anyone here, especially that human girl. We both know what happens when you get attached to someone...." Karl added with an evil smile as two large bat wings sprouted from his back. A few seconds later, Karl was high above the trees.

Neal stood motionless, staring up at the evening sky with clenched fists. Curse you, Karl! This isn't how it's suppose to happen!! was the one thought pounding in the Darklings mind.

Mark walked around the corner, he crossed his arms and looked criticaly at Neal. He honestly didn't blame him for capturing some vampires, but he was shure that he didn't stop at the worst of vampires to ad to it his trust of Neal was shaken. Before he would of trusted the Darkling with his life, now all he could think of is what an idiot he had been; trusting someone he barely knew. He glared at Neal for a few more moments before turning and walking away.

Josh nodded and went to his rucksack to pack his stuff back up.

Desperado nodded "A cursed prision island! Now thats even worse huh???" asked his conter-part, Desperado slapped his left cheek "Oww!" yelled Bob before he slapped his right cheek "OWW!" Desperado's half yelled before he punched himself in the face and fell to the ground with a bloody lip.

Thomas nodded and sighed. "Alright, you can come. But we're going to need better transportation than you teleporting us anywhere. That'd be suspicious if we just showed up . . . wherever. I guess we shoudl go back the hotel and have a look around our room first. Elisabeth, my sister, is probably still at that cafe, so we'd have the suite to ourselves." He stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"What should we wish for? A limo? No, too obvious. A taxi? I guess that'd be the best thing, only . . . would we need to wish for a driver too? Maybe . . . "

With an exasperated sigh, Katie waved her hand absently and a truck appeared in the alleyway. It was a nice truck, though not too flashy, with a dull green exterior. "Get in the truck," she commanded impatiently.

Thomas's eyes widened and his mouth opened in a silent "O" as the truck magically appeared in front of them. When Katie spoke, he jumped slightly and headed for the passenger's side.

Katie nodded to Kanti. "You drive," she said, opening the door to the backseat.

"Thanks, Katie," Thomas said with a warm smile.

Katie fixed Thomas with a cold stare. "My name isn't Katie," she said. "You'll need to know that if I'm going to help you, but you can't call me by my real name in public."

Thomas looked puzzled. "What's your real name then?"

"It's Alice."

Ian parked outside a donut shop and got out of the car. "Right, so sprinkles and custard filling and three coffees."

"Don't forget I like a lot of sugar in mine," Melanie reminded her brother, pulling out a couple bills from somewhere in her leather suit.

Ian took the money with a weak smile. "Right. I'll be right back." He shut the door and hurried inside, only thinking afterward that Cyrano might not be comfortable sitting alone in the car with his unusual sister. He decided he'd better go quickly.

Melanie leaned back against the leather seat and stared over at the passenger's side of the car, studying Cyrano's ear. "Have you ever been in love, Cy?" she asked curiously, pulling off her leather gloves and using her now bare hands to pull out her ponytail, letting her golden hair billow down to her shoulders. She combed through it with her fingers, frowning as she hit a snag. Her slender fingers worked gently at the knot as she waited for Cyrano's answer.

----

"Yes," Selena said, even as her eyes drifted toward the door and then to Tallulah. She forced herself to look back at her new husband however, and smiled faintly. "I would love to."

Caerwyn watched Karl leave with some disappointment. He had wanted to learn more about how the Unnatural knew Gwen. Learn what she had been like as a vampire. If she had ever regretted the night in the tavern. He knew it was unlikely, but still . . . he would like to have heard it for himself.

Turning away, he caught sight of Curse on the chapel porch. An uneasy feeling twisted in his gut, but he could not explain it. Therefore he pushed it away and forced a smile for her sake, not wanting her to worry. As he approached, however, he found he could not stand but a few steps from her. He wanted to move closer and take her hand like always, but for some reason his hands were trembling. So he twisted them tightly into the folds of his cloak and looked up at her through the fringe of his dark hair as it brushed over his brilliant blue eyes.

Everything's alright, he told her. Don't worry. Just a friendly chat among rivals. He forced his smile into a tight grin. He wanted me to give Selena and Zaref his condolences, but I don't think I will. Doesn't seem like the right word to use for a wedding anyway.

Indigo hesitated, glancing back toward Savage's estate. Then he looked at Naomi and saw Magenta in her gaze. Unwillingly, his expression softened and he gave a brisk nod.

"Only if we don't stay long," he said.

Sitting in the room on the floor, Kes barely looked up when she heard the knock at her door. "Go away, Liam," she drawled, rolling her head back against the settee behind her. Ever since she had come back, the majority of the coven despised her even more than when she had first shown up- save for the few who thought she was of value for their own gain. Liam was one of those few. Slimy, greedy, pathetic. However, she indulged his wheedling and scheming for the exact same reasons.

Except for right now.

Right now, she just wanted to be left alone. Heavy curtains drawn closed, the fire sputtered, close to going out but she had no energy to revive it, leaving the room quite dark but for the glow of the coals and rather cold as well. Also there was the small fact that Loren had had her fire poker along with the rest of the dangerous objects removed from her room. Scars grew faint so quickly now she thought with a dull smirk.

Sighing, she supposed she could just as well turn on one of the table lamps... but that would require moving or getting up. Her return to stable gravity wasn't something she was ready to part with just yet.

Kes absently tipped over an empty bottle next to her hand, frowning as the feeling of being disconnected dawned on her.

Something had changed.

The dignitary dipped his face, turning away slightly, from Ruth's line of sight. The mechanisms of his mind were at work with the idea, even though the idea had been forming since he saw the royals on their grand tour, but there was always room for improvement. Especially with what he knew now.

"I don't think there is anything impressionable about the princess," he stated matter of factually after some time. Still bent on keeping his trail of thought, he began pacing, his head still tucked in contemplation, making his way closer to the door. "But she is vain and that can be easily fed. The prince, as I understand," he added as he paused just a few steps away from the door, "looks up to her as well."

~~~~~~
Fanny might have waved goodbye when the Unnatural got up to leave, if she had been able to see him. But this might-have-been-farewell was not for the suspicious creature of the forest; no, she was not going to miss him. She was rather going to miss the person who for a moment made her forget there was anything to fear, and even though it had been with obscurity, she was going to miss that simple company. Hugging her knees closer to her chest, she wondered how much longer it would be before she enjoyed that luxury again.
A long time passed before Fanny decided that she waited long enough. Sticking her head out of the tree cautiously, she made sure the coast was clear before crawling out and brushing her skirt off of collected dirt. The hallowed tree was no longer a safe haven anymore, so she was going to have to find a better place to hide while she tried to find her way out of the woods and back to her people.
My people. The thought of her fellow gypsies brought a swell of longing to see them again in her chest. She was beginning to forget how long it had been since she last saw them, but what about them? Were they looking for her? She didn't doubt that they wouldn't be, all things considering, but it had been for so long and with no sign of any search party.
Shaking her head of the thought, Fanny reminded herself that she was lost in a big forest. If she could get lost for so long in such a place, then it must take maybe even longer for her people to track her down. She had to believe in that. . .
Fanny did not know which direction to take that wouldn't lead her right back to the Unnatural, so she comforted herself by going to the left of the tree, since the Unnatural stood by and left on the right. It was still dark with no traces of dawn in sight as she wandered around in the woods. She must have walked very far, although, for her feet began to hurt excruciatingly from stubbing into every other root when she suddenly heard raised voices.
It was her worst fear to hear voices in the dark, so Fanny froze instantly at the sound. Her eyes darted around in every which direction to find where the voices were coming from, but in the darkness and even with her eyes adjusted she couldn't see much further past her hands held up to her face. So she did what she thought what would be the best thing to do with her options of being alone and seemingly surrounded by voices: Run. Run like a mad woman.
Fanny raced through thickets, branches with thorny vines, practically everything in her path with caution to the wind. (Amazingly she avoided crashing into any solid obstacles, like trees.) Her only thought was to get away from danger and hide, but in her panic her selections of hiding places seemed to be fruitless against just running. But then she saw something hopeful. Light. Light in the dark. Oh, what a glimmer of promise it held! Did this mean she found the edge of the forest and the beginning of civilization at last? In sight of her means of escape, she found a new burst of energy to make a sprint, tear through the barriers of brush, and leap out into a clear area.
Having broken through into clearing, Fanny collapsed with exhaustion into the grass, relief washing over her as well as she gasped for breath. She had made it out. . . She finally got out! She can go home again. How she missed home! Even with her face buried in the turf and blades of grass tickling her nose Fanny could smile from her success. Even laugh. How good it felt to laugh because she was simply free!
When she caught her breath but couldn't get rid of her grin just yet, Fanny lifted her head. She had to see how far away she managed to distance herself from her people. Maybe it wasn't that far at all and only seemed like it had been. How her grin faltered, then, when she caught sight of a chapel. Her hope in reuniting with her people diminished like a dwindling flame as she didn't recognize the landmark or any else in the clear area for that matter. Pushing herself off the ground to stand, Fanny took a few steps further in, her hope completely dashed with each step as she realized what kind of a clearing it really was. This wasn't a town or even a homestead near civilization. This was a camp within the forest.
The old feeling of panic congested her throat. She was still trapped.
~~~~~~

In the flash of lighting speed it took when the spear landed next to his leg, Dex's grin quickly fell into a look of panic, and although he didn't move until after the impact, he was failing around in his sand chair moments later. "Waaahhh!" he cried as he rolled away from the weapon. Recovering himself, he stood up in the middle of his destroyed chair, dusted hairy-head to hairy-toe with sand. He glared at Harmoni. "What was that for?! You're the sidekick, not me."

Grumbling, he began to brush sand off himself. "Really," he muttered haughtily between grunts and swipes, "sometimes I wonder if you forget that."

By the time he had cleaned himself from the sand, a gathering of Unnaturals were standing around the beach. Apparently this all happened very quickly without his notice, even Harmoni moved to the far side of the beach without so much as telling him. Frowning sulkily that he was missing out on something and that Harmoni had abandoned him, Dex hurried over to see what the fuss was about.

To his delight the fuss was over a new pris—erm visitor. This excited Dex because new faces always brought new possibilities. His pace didn't slow as he entered the crowd, too wound up was he to care if he accidentally bumped into anyone, but he did sidestep around Desperado carefully, as if afraid of catching anything from the Unnatural which he was susceptible of doing.

Finally he saw the new visitor and his countenance brightened considerably when he saw it was a woman. Nothing against Harmoni or anything, but it would be nice to have a pretty girl around to look at. His happiness in seeing that they had a new girl was squashed, however, when he saw Desmond interrogating her.

"Oy," Dex called out to Desmond from behind him, "Desy, back off, will ya? No need to be freaking her out with your creepiness just as of yet." Giving the recluse a queer, eyeballing look that can only be described as literally saying "You-and-I-both-know-you're-creepy-and-you're-not-going-to-get-away-with-it look, Dex sidled around the Darkling and knelt before the soaked girl. "G'day, I'm Dex. Welcome to happy isle!" Rubbing his hand clean against the back of his jeans, he started to offer the girl his hand to help her up, since no one else was considerate enough to do it, but half way he pulled his hand back sharply. For a moment his gaze was fixated on her studiously as he seemingly took in her features, and then with a nervous laugh he straightened abruptly, taking a step or two back as he rubbed his almost offered hand against his pants a little agitatedly.

"That's probably not a very good idea," he muttered to himself very quietly. Discreetly he eyed the girl from the safety of where he stood. Part of Dex's ability was stealing other people's abilities, but what he did not like to brag a lot about (which is very unusual for him) was that he could also sense other people's abilities. It came in handy, so he could pick out what abilities he wanted without waiting around to find out and also to know which ones to avoid.

And as much as this girl was pretty, Dex had a feeling he was going to be doing that a lot with her.

((quick post for Udi- I'll be back later to post the jump for the jumping characters))

Udi looked over as a woman stumbled through the darkened treeline and collapsed in the glade. His eyes narrowed; despite looking rather tree-ish with leaves sticking out every which way, Udi thought the woman was probably quite attractive. Smiling, he stepped closer.

"A prison island crawling with bloodsuckers," Harmoni added. She was pro-Unnatural to the core, but her time on the Island had soured her opinion of vampires. Secretly she wondered if maybe vampires should be fair game for the mundanes.

"Dex, where you going?" Harmoni asked maliciously as she noticed her annoying tagalong moving away from the newcomer. She had a feeling he's "read" the new arrival and didn't like what he'd sensed.

Morgana Aurelia creeped out from the bushes and studied the crowd on the beach. The young witch typically kept her distance from the others, since an Aspros Island inmate was as likely to sell you to the vampires as look at you.

"Hello. You look worn out," Morgana commented gently to the new prisoner. "Take this potion. The herbs I have to work with here are pretty crappy, but it should give you some energy back. You'll need it come nightfall, when the vampires come out."

-----

"That was ... interesting," Malachi commented as he walked up to Neal. "What was that creature? Some sort of mutant vampire?"

-----

As the other Unnaturals their table, Amy raised a hand warningly.

"We don't want a fight here and I don't think you want one either. It won't go well for you."

Adrienne raised her eyebrows in amusement at Amy, but refrained from commenting.

"I'm not afraid of a fight. How about you guys?" Portia said, looking back at the others.

"Well, it's not my favorite thing in the world, but you're staring at us and it's kinda creepy. What do you people want?" Night asked.

"We're Unnaturals, like you are. I was just wondering what your story was, if you were on the run or what. We're not bounty hunters or anything like that."

"Hey! Did you hear that boys? Girl over here said she's a freak," a drunken man yelled at the rest of the room.

"Nicely done, Amy. Looks like we'll get that fight after all."

"No. . . No . . . No. Please, spirits, no."

The tears that had gathered in Fanny's eyes burned as they fell down her face. Her emotions were at their breaking point now as she surveyed the clearing, taking in what was there without really seeing anything; and yet the only ache she felt was the sting of hot moisture rubbing against raw skin.

What was this place? Why couldn't she get out of the forest? Why the circles!

Besides from the most prominent landmark, the chapel, there were no other solid structures in the glade, but clearly the area was lived in as there were signs of life marked around campfires. But she had never seen this place before, and she had been wandering around in the forest for months. Running a hand over her ratty curls, pushing them away from her face, she wondered how she could have missed this!

Just then she heard a voice—a familiar voice—greeting her to her right, and she yelped in alarm, spinning around to face the Satyr she didn't notice was there. Her hand flew up to hold her spastic heart in place as she for the first time in months came face to face with a proprietor to a voice. It was almost too much for her to bear after almost forgetting that voices weren't made of the wind.

But even after bumping into this visible reminder, it did not stop her from saying the first thing that popped into her head. "Please! Don't harm me! I did not mean to disturb your grounds." Fanny took careful steps back, shielding herself by turning away and letting her hair shroud her face, and held her hands in front of her in a sign of peace. She knew this would not stop the demon from casting a hex or something on her, but she hoped that by not provoking it to anger by showing her face and leaving immediately it would not harm her.

~~~~~~
"Wha-what?" Dex hardly heard what Harmoni said at first, and he had to shake his senses in order to process what she had asked. "Uh, no where--
"Don't touch her!!" he cried very suddenly when Morgana tried to give the new prisoner her potion. He practically tackled the witch to the ground so he could prevent her from coming in contact with girl, and that was a hard thing to do because a) the witch is bigger and heavier than the scrawny Dex and b) he had to jump the witch in a way that would land themselves away from the Mrina, which was difficult to maneuver with the angle he had leaped from. But there was success in them both crashing into Desmond.
"Gah, shouldn't you people know better than to touch strangers?" Dex demanded as he rolled off Morgana. "You guys didn't go hugging me when I first arrived, and I'm the nicest of the bunch here!"
Desmond merely narrowed his eyes at the young, scrawny man named Dex as he took a few steps back from the newcomer. The Darkling had never liked the kid, though that was not surprising. Desmond hardly liked anyone on the island. "I have acquaintances, never friends," was his common response to other prisoners who would try to make "friends".
Before he could move, Desmond found himself laying on his back in the black sand, thanks to Dex. Muttering a stream of curses under his breath as he got to his feet, the Darkling dusted off the sand that was on his person as he loomed over Dex. "Next time, watch where you are going! If I had my way I'd toss you into the sea...." Desmond threatened, meaning every word.
It took a few minutes for Neal to answer Malachi. "You're partly correct. He's a Hybrid. Half werewolf, half vampire and has the bad traits of both....." The Darkling answered with a bit of dry wit.
Hearing a slight commotion, Neal excused himself from the company and went to see what trouble Udi had stirred up. Probably made one of the female Unnaturals mad.... the Darkling thought as walked over to where the satyr was standing. "What's the matter this time?" Neal was about to ask when he noticed the girl. She was very young, very beautiful and scared out of her wits. "Don't be afraid.... we won't hurt you." he said as he took a step or two towards the strange girl. Suddenly realizing that his fedora probably made himself look more menacing to a frightened individual, Neal slowly took off his hat and gave a friendly (yet somewhat weak) smile. "We mean you no harm...." The Darkling added as he cautiously extended his right hand in a sign of friendship.
(((If this messes up anything for you, Marshy or BubblyLu, just let me know and I'll change the post. :) )))
The voices led Whiskey back down to the beach. She crouched in the upper branches of the trees and stared down at the rag-tag group. Leaning forward, she kept herself upright by both hands pressing against two tree limbs as she lay, almost spread-eagled, above the beach. Watching Dex tackle Morgana seemed suddenly so hilarious to her, that she collapsed in a fit of giggles.
In doing so she lost her grip on the branches and fell to the ground. Quicker than a blink, she twisted in mid-air so she landed on her feet in a crouch, perfectly unharmed though she had come from branches more than twenty feet in the air. Once she had landed, the giggling fit started again and she fell back on her behind, clutching her stomach with mirth. Even the voices were chuckling.
Hahaha, Robber doesn't want to touch the new playmates.
Hehehe, look at how he flies! Like a monkey! Hahahoho.
Funny boy! Funny boy! Look-it at the funny boy!
Whiskey's large eyes, swimming with tears of laughter, stared at the group through her dark, straggly hair. Dry, cracked lips peeled away from her teeth in a manic smile.
"We all go fly, we all go bye," she said and giggled again before resuming the chant. "We all go fly, we all go bye. Shh, shh, don't touch! Don't touch! Fly, bye, fly." With a thin finger, she pointed at the Mrina and gave another crazy laugh before pressing the finger to her lips. "Shh, shh, shh."
(((You're very welcome to have Neal stick his nose in, PCor. :)
Just so everyone knows, since I forgot to say this in my previous post, Fanny's hypnotism does not work unless she and another person has made eye contact. Otherwise, there is no physical effect.)))
Since her hair obscured most of her vision, Fanny did not see another approach until he had already spoken. His voice startled her almost with the same jolting reaction as when the demon jumped her, but she didn't shout out again when he spoke. Instead she started to cry in soft anguished sobs as the situation began to look bleak. Her sobs grew louder in distress as the newcomer started to come closer, and she took two hurried steps back for every step he took forward. With the two seemingly surrounding her, she was starting to panic.
"No, no, no!" she shrieked as the one closer to her reached out to grab her. Although he did not have the horns like the other demon (((Don't know if Udi made his horns reappear or not, but I'm just adding it to the drama, if you don't mind, Marshy. ;) ))), he still had a shadowy stature that was putting her off. Abandoning her plan of appealing to the demon, Fanny's hands flew up wildly to defend herself as she cried, "Don't touch me!"
~~~~~~

On his hands and knees beside the witch, Dex raised his sandy face to look up at Desmond, eyes narrowed contemptuously. "Yeah, yeah," he shook off the Darkling's threat just as impassively as he dusted the sand out of his hair. "I find you irresistible, too, Desy."

"Whoa! O.K... alright, I won't touch you..." Neal assured the girl as he pulled his hand back. The situation was becoming very irritating for the Darkling. The girl seemed to be on the edge of a nervous breakdown, which didn't help matters. "At least take this..." Neal said as he pulled out a piece of cloth from his trench coat and carefully laid it on the grass in front of the girl.

"She's so frightened it's hard to even communicated with her." Neal said to Udi over his shoulder. The Darkling had never come across an individual, either human or Unnatural, that seemed to be so frightened of... everything. It made him feel both pity and frustration in equal amounts.

------------------------

Desmond was greatly tempted to go ahead and throw the boy in the sea, but decided against it at the present time. Instead of responding to Dex, the Darkling merely walked around to another spot on the beach to stand. Away from the troublesome lout.
