Micah honestly didn’t know who to trust. Everyone at the table seemed to already know something about what happened, however little. However, was it wise to draw more people into the problem, even if they were innocent? But there was no way to even know they were innocent; any one of them could be a Hunter in disguise. If he acted suspicious of them, he would give himself away; but if he wasn’t cautious, he could be led into a trap.
“I don’t know who can be trusted,” Micah said. “You all say you can be trusted, though one of you tried to kill me not five minutes ago.” He paused and glared at Isla, then continued. “Still, I came here today looking to find anyone who could tell me anything about the people who burned the inn last night. If you can shed light on that mystery, then please do; if not, I'll continue on my way.”

Rokard stiffened slightly as the blade approached his throat, but mostly he made no response whatsoever for several moments. Then he simply pushed the sword away. “Try that again, Hegon, and I’ll sever your spine in half.” He fixed an icy glare on the other Hunter, and then struck his blade with the sharpening stone one more time before putting it away.

Shyanne looked at Brendlyn. "Micah is skilled beyond his years. He is young, but he is handy with the sword. His intelligence does him good, too."

Isla arched a dark brown. Her bangs were falling across her forehead now, being loosed from their capturing band. Micah didn't say who it was that had attacked him, but she knew everyone knew. They had all seen and heard it. it was a moment of foolishness that she would regret for days to come.

"I did try to allow you to go on your way, but you have captured the attention of my companion." Isla said, pushing her bangs out of her eyes. "I cannot make you trust me, but if you believe I have anything to do with this," she thrust her hand toward the arrow, "you are wrong."

Dalin suddenly appeared from the shadows between the two men. "Enough." he said, then moved on toward where their horses had been tied. "Come. We move again."

Susanne knew that Shyanne was better acquainted with Micah, having known him for some time, so she backed away from Brendlyn and her, and stared out longingly out toward daylight. She dearly wanted to go out and see the light of the new morning and breath in the clear fresh air, but then again something in her was too afraid to. She swallowed, and glanced back at the rest of those in the cave. All of them seemed to be unaware she was there. So, summoning up from bravery she stepped toward the hole. Her head peeped out, and then her shoulders, and she stared at the green trees. It seemed so innocent and lovely. She ventured to go farther out, and she did, though beginning to feel uneasy.

She didn't know what she was so afraid of. She was safe now....wasn't she? She knew that the enemy could be anywhere, behind any bush or boulder, but she so wanted to be out here. She went completely out for a minute, and looked around. Though the moment was broken by a crack of a branch and she went running back into their hideout.

Daniella felt herself pulled down the hall by her boyfriend. "What do you want to show me?"

"Only this--" kevin replied angrily, holding up a piece of paper. In the corner was a big red "F". "This is my homework from yesterday... which you did."

Dan waited to see if ms. Tivvens was going to say more; when she didn't continue he looked up towards the ceiling (Which is what he does when he has nothing else to look at) and said "Alright, do I continue with the normal classes today? Or do I have today to do what I like and prepare for tomorrow?" He brought his gaze back down to the desk in front of him and ran his hand along the edge of it.

"Yes," answered Ms. Tivvens. "Today will be just like any other today; only, you wont be assigned any homework. We want to keep your mind clear for tommorrow."
She looked at a big, ancient clock in the corner of her office. "In fact," she realized, "I believe your next class will be starting in just a few minutes. You are excused."

Shyanne jumped when Susanne came running back in. She turned around and quickly said, "What happened? Is there someone out there?" Her eyes grew wide.

Dan withdrew his hand from the table nodded his head once and then turned and walked out of the room. His next class was just about to start and he decided to run and be the first one there. While he ran he noticed McKenzie standing opening the theater door and wondered what he could possibly be doing.
"Hey!" He shout "McKenzie, what's happenin' in there? I didna' hear abou' any sort o' meetin'."

McKenzie turned as he saw Dan and groaned, "What are you doing here?" went back to opening the door "There's nothing going on, I'm just looking for someone." He turned back to the door and turned back towards the door to push it open.

"So before you go" Dan said quickly "Who exactly are you looking for?"

"Well, I suppose you might be able to help me... I'm looking for that Leanna girl, or Lilly or whatever you feel like calling her."

"What 'ave you got against 'er?"

"She's with Browning's gang. I think that should be sufficient explanation for you."

"Yeah, sure. I'm just gonna let you waltz in there and attack some kid who's already got a huge bump on 'er noggin." Dan glanced at his watch "Well, if you dinna mind I'll be headin' off to class, you should too if you dinna want ter get in trouble." Dan threw a wink over his shoulder as he marched on down the hall.

McKenzie thought over his options, so either he got his little piece of revenge and got in trouble... or he could go to class and get his revenge later on... He'd go for option number two.

Dalin suddenly appeared from the shadows between the two men. "Enough." he said, then moved on toward where their horses had been tied. "Come. We move again."

Hegon reluctantly sheathed his sword, and then shot a taunting grin towards Rokard, “Don’t worry, Dalin. It was just in mere sport.” Hegon continued his signature smirk as he walked backwards, then turned around, grabbed his bag, and jumped on his horse. “You heard ‘im, gents!”
Even though Hegon was technically equal with the other hunters, he liked to step into the place of charge whenever he found the opening to do so.

Daniella looked at the big, red "F" on Kevin's paper. "I'm sorry. Maybe you can't depend on me to do your homework anymore." Shw choked back a sob.

Grace looked at Jack, not sure what to so say. "Why do you care so much?! I mean, think about it, if somebody has a horse, and is staying at an inn, they're probably traveling, and that would mean they need those horses." Grace gave him another sarcastic look. "And I do not know who they belong too!" Grace knew that was a lie and her conscience was getting on to her, but two men that said she couldn't tell anyone they were there must be dangerous... and, well she didn't really want to die, and truthfully, she didn't feel that bad about lying to Jack.

Jack humphed and back away, giving her a hard stare. "I think you DO know and your not telling me because you just want to keep me in suspense! That way I'll have to keep pestering you" he looked at her for a minute, almost hungrily.

Then from outside a drunken voice was heard calling "Jack! JACK! Come here...." it slurred.

Jack sighed. "I now must leave you my doll.....I'm sorry." He then stomped out of the inn slapping one of the horses as he did so.

When Jack left Grace gave a revealed sigh... That was close... she thought to herself. She watched Jack leave with a disgusted look on her face. When he was out of sight she ran to the front door closed it, and locked it. Then she went up stairs to Stendar and Liam's room, and quietly knocked on the door. "It's me, Grace." She said softly. "I have something I need to tell you."

Stendar unlocked the door, using the key which Grace had given him. He had dimmed the light, and Liam was still sleeping, but he still allowed Grace in "What is it?" he asked, raising an eyebrow

Grace walked in, when she saw Liam asleep she lowered her voice even more. "I just wanted to tell you, a young man who..." She paused for a moment, then continued "comes here frequently, is asking questions about your horses. He says as long as I don't tell him who they belong too he'll have to keep pestering me about them. I told him I didn't know who they belonged too, but he doesn't believe me..." Grace looked Stendar in the eyes. "I don't know what I'll tell him next time he comes. More then likely he'll come by tomorrow... I thought I should tell you that..."

Stendar nodded "Yes, thank you." he rubbed his chin, where light stubble had begun to grow, thinking. "We have to hide our horses then. Is there any place where we could? Possibly behind the inn....."

Return of the Fountain Fellowship

Grace blinked and snapped back to reality. "Oh, Hi Ace. What are you doing here?" She didn't mean it to be, but her tone was somewhat annoyed.

Then and again, Grace was somewhat annoyed. She and Nix had just been getting into the meat of the MESS laboratories, and Ace just had to come along and drag her out. Who had asked him to go around and do that, anyways?
