Ace followed his buddy as he walked back up the stairs and indoors, listening to his comments. "That's got to be rough... Sorry..." he patted Dave on the shoulder, "Anything I can do?"

Jack scowled deeply, his pale blue eyes snapping with frustration. "Grace honey....I'm not leaving until you tell me who those horses belong it" It was clear he didn't believe a word of what she had said. "The inn door is propped open, those two horses are tied up straight outside, and I think I'm making an accurate assumption by saying that the riders on those horses came in here! So....come on....I won't leave until I get a straight answer" He tried to smile, but it came off more as a angry grin.

From the second floor of the inn, Stendar, munching on his late supper, heard some commotion rising down stairs. It sounded like loud speaking, and he wondered what was going on. Liam had drifted off into a restless sleep once again, and therefore heard nothing.

David began to shake his head and then stopped, slowly beginning to nod. "Yeah," He said slowly, "Yeah. I'm on duty in another hour. Would you mind checking up on her-- Grace, I mean-- every so often? I don't know your schedule. I didn't check the roster today." He looked sheepish.

"And yeah, I know the lab sec dudes are jerks. But if you can, any time. I have a five hour shift. If you have any free time, I'd appreciate it." He knew that he was asking a lot of his friend, but he figured he could at least try.

Tess thought that what Daniella had said had made some sense although she also agreed she may have gone a bit far. She was glad though because she now saw that Dan, Daniella and maybe even Sam would be good friends with her. She now wanted to introduce herself properly. "Hi my name is Tess Peterson. I mow you already k ow that but I wanted to introduce myself without being shoved in front of a class. I know pretty much everyone at this table except," she turned to look at the boy sitting beside Daniella,"what's your name???

Ace looked at him out of the corner of his eye as they walked, "Of course Dave... no problem." he thought for a minute, "I'll have to check my new schedule, cause if you didn't notice I'm a lieutenant now." he grinned and pointed to his shoulder rank insignia. "I know the chairman wants me to go handpick a team for a mission into Ditto Town, but after that, I think I'm free for a bit. I haven't received my new orders, and If i haven't read them, I can't follow them, can I?"

He tried to cheer his friend up with his comments, but he didn't know if it was working. "I usually have a few free times during the day, so I can pop in and check on her."

Suddenly, his escape plan was on the back burner for a little bit. He couldn't leave while Dave needed him, he was just too loyal to his friends. Rest assured, he wanted out, but only when he could without hurting anyone in the process.

The girl lowered her crossbow. "My name is Brendlyn," she said. "I know these woodlands the way most know how to breathe the air. I have never lived anywhere but here. "Of course I'd be glad to teach anyone willing to learn!" Henry said cheerfully. It was a rare thing for him to meet children with such an interest in God's Holy Word.
Janiece answered the question about days. "What day is it? Well, it's hard to say. After all, we are in a different world now. Back home, I can remember its Evensday -- which is the 9th day of the week. But what it is back in your home world, sweetie, I don't know." (She was a kind, quiet girl who called almost everyone "sweetie". At least, the people that she liked.)

"My name?" Kevin answered gruffly. "My name's Kevin. Why? Who wants to know?"

Sam looked up at Daniella, who had just asked her how she was. She hated when the other children asked her questions -- as if she were one of them. "I am alone in a cruel world!" she shouted back at her. "And they won't break me! They'll never break me!"
At this, she grabbed hold of everyone's trays and knocked them onto the floor. She picked up one of the forks. "This is the 'proper way' to use this!" And she threw it across the entire dining hall. It stuck into one of the walls. Right next to someone who had just entered -- Tivvens.
Tivvens marched angrily across the room to Sam's table. She looked fiercely into her eyes. "Where is your Guide?"
Sam didn't answer. Tivvens shook her, and still she didn't answer.
Tivvens turned to Dan. "Where is this girl's Guide?"

Dan stood transfixed where he stood, it always scared him half to death when he was addressed by a giver, and it was one of those things that didn't get any better over time, ever. He blinked for a few moments and glanced quickly around the room only to see all eyes on him. The first time he tried to speak all that came out was a dry rusty little half groan half squeak but the he regained his voice.
"She, uh... she left, um...yeah, she left." He gulped, That sounded stupid, he thought to himself, I sure hope we don't get in trouble for sounding unintelligent, it sure would be a bummer. He was trying to make himself a little less doomed feeling... And it wasn't working.
Dan glanced up at the tall woman who was aiming her fiery eyes exactly at him, just her hight sent quivers down is spine and made him feel like a shrimp, not to mention how dreadfully cruel she was. He looked down at his feet and started to wish that he had long hair like Lilly's that he could tug in nervousness.

Lilly was about to respond when she caught sight a fork flying at top speed towards the wall beside the entrance to the cafeteria (Lilly could only assume that it had in fact been flung by Sam) and just before it slammed into the wall Fork prongs to wood (and stuck there quivering as if in shock of what it had just gone through) The door was flung open by none other than Ms. Tivvens. Lilly sucked in a gasp and time seemed to stop and Tivvens' face grew red with fury but the moment didn't last long and Lilly watched as Tivvens strode quickly towards the table at which Sam was sitting and demanded to know where her Guide was, when Sam wouldn't respond the woman turned to Dan and demanded of his the same question. Lilly looked on in sympathy as Dan stood there in shock and offered up his feeble reply.

Daniella backed Dan. "Yeah, she left Sam here. Completely unattended. She should be punished. Leaving Sam here on her own like this. What was she thinking?" (OCC: I hope the guide is Dorothy)

Kasey smiled brightly. It might have been the first time she had smiled so since she had been brought there. "That would be wonderful!" She told the young pastor. Then various things ensued (as described by several others) and Kasey was also left to stare in quiet shock at the seen. The mess, and the fork, were from Sam, but the angry look on Ms. Tivvens face would have frightened anyone out of their wits. She attempted to ignore the situation, but it was dreadfully hard. She looked at Brownie and whispered "That can't be good"

As soon as Sam threw the fork, Tess knew there would be trouble. And sure enough the giver that had pushed her infront of the class was storming across the dining hall. Tess wanted to run away but knew it woul only get her in trouble. So she had to watch fearfully as the giver questioned Sam and Dan.

Tivvens glared -- not at Dan, but more like through him -- and grunted. "I see. She will be taken care of later."
She stood up straighter and walked to the very center of the room. "Breakfast is over," Tivvens announced. "All are dismissed."

Daniella sighed in relief, that she said nothing to her. When they got into the hall, she caught up with Brownie, hoping for some time with him. She turned his shoulder towards her. "That woman is scary."

Stretch shook his head "No, if that sniper knew we were here he must of seen where we came from, that warehouse will be sarwming with MESS" He said then added "We have to keep going, and beside, Cale took the only speeder"

When Cale and the others arrived at the tree house it was all clear, no MESS in sight. However Stretch, Scrappy and Piper were no where in sight, Cale reached for his comlink to attempt to contact Stretch but his comlink wasn't there.

"What now?" VACs asked Cale "Well Stretch isn't here, but I've shown him a map of the Jedi temple he should be able to figure it out, I'll leave him a note" he said and wrote down on a peice of paper "Went in" and stuck it on the bottom rung of the tree house lader then began climbing.

Zakk said "Alrighty" then hopped in his speeder and took off. Merging into the trafic. As he did a black speeder down the block took off and merged as well. Zakk didn't notice it and continued as normal.
