Edmund felt some remorse, but tried keeping his guard up. He bowed. "My apologies." Then, he coudl hear a noise. He whispered, "What do we do now? Have we been spotted?"

Return of the Fountain Fellowship
Piper turned at the question and saw the girl she noticed earlier rushing towards her. "I'm not quite sure yet," she replied, motioning hurriedly for the girl to go in front of her and head for the door. She tried to keep her answer vague. Although she didn't think the newcomer meant any harm you couldn't be too careful, especially in this situation. "But I'm sure we'll figure out soon enough.", she assured, realizing she wasn't too sure of what was going on herself.
Piper followed her out the door and looked around, then motioned for the other girl to follow her towards Cale, Stretch and the others.

Raven followed the girl. Not surprisingly, she seemed a little hesitant to talk. "My name's Raven," she offered. "What's yours?"

The door of the room was partly open, so Jarien pushed it the rest of the way, and strode inside quickly.

Adi quickly walked over to the bar, "Oliver? Do you still have those herbs hanging in the storroom?"
Oliver scratched his head for a moment, thinking, "Why I think I do...go ahead and have a peek, I may still have some of them left."
"Thanks."
She opened up the trapdoor to the cellar/store room, and put her foot on the top rung of the ladder. It was very dark below, so she paused, and retrieved a torch from the wall, before climbing down. It took a moment for her to find the small wooden box in the corner, where she knew that oliver kept a small collection of herbs.
She opened it, peered inside. Each herb was carefully labled, in a small compartment of it's own. She nodded to herself, then closed it, and retrieved her torch from it's sconce on the wall. Then she headed back toward the ladder.

Vayond: The Shadowed Hunters
Micah shot a stern but polite glance in Shyanne's direction. "No need for alarm, Lady Shyanne. I'm sure his suggestion came only from great concern and sympathy."
Suddenly, Micah heard a noise, and Edmund jumped at the sound of it, wondering aloud if they had been spotted. The noise had come from the hallway, and as soon as Micah turned to see what had caused it, he saw the door swing open as someone entered. He tensed at first, not sure whether the person opening the door was Adi or an enemy; but he soon recognized that it was neither; it was the man who was with Adi earlier.
Micah nodded to him. "Hello again, sir."

Susanne could not hear all the voices swirling around the room, the bickering and the suggestions all went un-heard by her ears. They only voices she could hear were the ones in her dream, but even those were faint. Vivid images flashed again and again, for only few seconds at a time. They were all from her memory, being pulled from the horror of the past three days. Her body was far too exhausted though to wake from any nightmare her mind could conger. Running without rest, food and water could suck the energy from anyone. Coupled with the brushes of death she had had countless times. During her journey to this small town and safe haven, she had lots of times found herself at the mercy of a strangers blade, or in the corners of a dark street. She had been tossed, slapped, used and chased the whole way. Now she lay here, with helpless people around her that could only watch and hope.
She flinched at the touch of the cool clothe, only cause it was her bodies will. It was out of pure instinct she did it, cause the cold, touching the hot of her skin was a shock. But the brush of the worn hands of the blacksmith, as he flipped it over was a welcome and almost gentle touch.

Dalin glared slightly behind him at Gabriel and his uncle. Though he knew their loyalties were all of him, he had to keep them reminded of their job. Simply nodding to them as they rode away, he turned back to Jaegar. "The purpose of the one inside is to prevent any from escaping and to also kill any who run. I want them all killed. Their can be no witnesses, just like usual" He gripped Akar, feeling it thirst for blood. Its blade was silver, but never stained by any of it's iniquities. The stains of it's killing core were on his heart. He growled at remembering even why he was here. Why he was what he was.....why he even worked for the king. He closed his eyes for a brief second as his men shuffled around, gathering their swords and cloaks. It was silence like he enjoyed it, a silent moment before moving in for the kill. It was quietly broken as Rokard asked "Where do you want me?"
Looking over Dalin nodded "I want you with me along with Jaegar."

Edmund wanted to demand why Jarien was here and even had a hand to his sword, in case Jaerin was an enemy. However, he saw Suzanne move. So, he turned back to Jarien and put his sword to Jarien's chainmail. "You lay one finger on her and you will be dealt with." He felt he could trust no one else in vayond but Micah, Shayenne and Suzanne."

Vayond: The Shadowed Hunters
Gabriel hitched his horse up quickly before walking inside, sitting down he waited for a signal from his uncle that the boss was going through the window... Waiting was the worse part of his job because he could see and hear the people around him.
Men, women, mothers and fathers who had a family to return to that night, a family they would never see again. He swallowed and shook his head to kick the thought out of his mind. He laid his hand on his sword and got ready to do what he needed to do.

Micah watched as, in a split second, Edmund whipped out his sword and touched the blade to the chain mail of Adi's friend. He's certainly no stranger to the sword, Micah thought distantly, as he moved forward. "Hold on, no need for swords. I trust this man; I spoke to him earlier, he is here to help." He lightly pushed Edmund's sword away, and reassured him with a confident gaze. "Your brash instinct to protect the girl is admirable, but not needed. Not yet, anyway. Save your sword for more dangerous hours."

Rokard nodded as he accepted his orders. He was no longer in the dark now; he knew exactly where he was supposed to be, and what he was supposed to do. He steeled his mind, and prepared for what lay ahead.

Edmund blushed at the rebuke, putting his sword down.
"Well, lucky for you to be on our side," he said, turning to the stranger. "For I am a skilled swordsman."

Return of the Fountain Fellowship
For a moment or two Kay froze in indecision. What in the world? Should she follow? Then she mentally slapped herself. Follow a murderer, no thanks! This was the law that they were running from. She decided to stay put.

Cale turned to see the door being kicked down and decided he couldn't wait any longer. So he said "Goodbye Kay" as he rushed out the door, slamming it on his way out. As soon as he made it out MESS soldiers charged through the door.
"YOU!" one of them yelled at Kay "Your under arrest!" he said as he lept forward, handcuffing her.
If you ain't first, you're last.
Return of the Fountain Fellowship
Kay was taken completely by surprise. "Wait a second, hold on! I didn't do anything wrong!" She protested. "I just work here!" She looked from one to the other of the MESS soldiers. "Can't we talk about this? I can explain what happened." She began to get nervous.

"Yeah, tell it to the council Missy" said the soldier and he lead her out of the Cup & Platter and shoved her into the back seat of a squad speeder "Consider yourself lucky, not many people of your class get the oportunity to meet the Chairman and the Council" he said as he shut the door and got into the front seat.
Cale lept into his speader then yelled to Raven and Shrims to get in as well. Stretch grabbed Piper and pulled her to the ground as a blaster bolt struck the wall over her head "Sorry to interupt your conversation" he said sarcasticly.

Vayond: The Shadowed Hunters
Jarien took a step backwards when he was met with the point of a sword upon entering the room, "Whoa"
From the side, the larger of the two men, the one that Jarien assumed was the blacksmith that Adi mentioned, stepped forward and calmed the younger man, "Hold on, no need for swords. I trust this man; I spoke to him earlier, he is here to help....Your brash instinct to protect the girl is admirable, but not needed. Not yet, anyway. Save your sword for more dangerous hours."
The kid then turned to him, "Well, lucky for you to be on our side, For I am a skilled swordsman."
Jarien glanced around, at the girl on the bed, and the other woman sitting in a chair next to her, holding a cloth to her forehead. He turned back to the two men, "Aye, and dangerous times may be not far off..." he lowered his voice to a whisper, "What makes you think that hunters are after her?"

Jaegar heard Dalin order himself and Rokard as the two paired with him. He wondered if it was because Dalin wanted to watch him. No matter... he thought, I won't fail again...
He nodded to Dalin, "ready."
