Piper rushed as quick as she could through the streets. She was running late, not unusual for her, but still annoying. She turned the corner and opened the door to the Cup and Platter, pulling down the hood of her cloak as she walked in. She looked around, then found the table she was looking for, with Cale, Stretch and several others sitting down. "Sorry I'm late", she apologized, not out of breath but breathing fairly heavily from her rush to get there.

Cale waved and said “Hey Pip! Don’t worry, you haven’t missed anything… Yet” Stretch smiled at the comment “Yet… I don’t like the sound of that” Cale rolled his eyes “We always have a yet, Stretch”

Meanwhile Shrims noticed he couldn’t see over edge of the table to he jumped up walked over and grabbed a phone book and threw it on his seat before jumping on it, considerably taller.

Stretch looked down at his companion with a stifled laugh; the prideful Aleena looked up at him before jabbing him in the ribs. Stretch flinched before poking Shrims back in where the human ribs would have been, Shrims just laughed but before he was done Stretch had in a headlock and was giving him a noogiee.

Just then, blaster shots were heard outside before hooded and cloaked figure rushed in. Cale jumped up, grabbed the figures hood and ripped it back. Revealing the same woman he had saved last night “You again!” he said before he shoved her behind the counter.

Then he ignited his lightsaber just as a MESS soldier rushed in, he cut him down before the man could see what happened, Stretch shot a bolt over Cale’s shoulder to take down another one.

On Raven's homeworld, people charging into a restaurant and shooting at people was generally frowned upon as messy assassination work by amateurs that interfered with the routine of the higher classes. Still, the lesser nobles couldn't always afford better, so she had excellent training in drawing her weapon as she dove for cover behind a table.

She considered changing into wolf-form, but as no one here knew she was a werewolf yet, that could be dangerous. Raven decided to keep a hand on her weapon and moved so she could see what happened without getting involved. Hopefully.

I didn't even finish my breakfast, she thought regretfully. It was good, too.

Piper turned around when she heard the blaster shots, then ducked behind one of the beams supporting the building before igniting her lightsaber. As she glanced she saw one of the customers, a girl dressed in black, fluidly draw her weapon as she leapt out of sight. She looks she's done this before, Piper thought before turning her attention back to the intruders. Two had already been taken down by Cale and Stretch, and not sure if any others were on their way, she decided to lay low and wait to see if any more were on their way. Though after the welcome the first had gotten from Cale and Stretch, she doubted any others would dare.

Kay heard gunfire and knew something was wrong--worse than what was happening to her blueberry casserole (yuck). She burst out of the kitchen just in time to see Cale chopping someone down just like he did it every day. Her eyes widened exponentially.

"Not okay in here! What in the sam hill are you doing?" Kay demanded, rather frightened but trying not to show it.

Cale looked back at Kay "GET DOWN" he yelled quickly before he force pushed another man out the door and shut it. Then turned and shoved Stretch towards the backdoor "Everyone out" Shrims was two steps ahead of his words and had the backdoor open wide.

Rachel had come from her position behind the counter and was heading towards the door as well. Cale turned and said to Kay "Sorry about the mess" he said looking around "You could come with us if you want..." with that he turned and walked out the door.

Piper saw the next man come in, but before she could do anything Cale had him outside the Cup and Platter and the door shut. She heard Cale and stood up, attaching her lightsaber to her belt as she rushed to get out the back with the others.

Having violence erupt in the little town you picked to avoid assassinations is not a pleasant sensation. Raven felt decidedly like teaching someone a lesson, and using her sword to do it.

She noticed another young woman who looked to be a little younger than herself, with a strange sword. "Hey," Raven called, jumping to her feet and hurrying after her. "Do you have any idea what's going on here?"

Micah moved to Susanne's side. "She must be very exhausted. Perhaps we should just let her sleep." He looked to Edmund. "I'd like to see her awake and healthy as much as you would, but I'm beginning to think rest is the only remedy at this point."

Edmund sulked onto the bed. "Fine. But if she gets to where she can't wake up, don't blame me."

Micah crossed his arms with a frustrated huff. "Well screaming at her and threatening to kiss her certainly won't help." He realized his sarcastic tone was crueler than it should have been; but the frustration of the situation was making things tense for all of them.

Edmund sighed, realizing he was making things worse. "Sorry. I just don't understand why she isn't responding. maybe you can kiss her. You seem to hav ethe magic touch."

Micah chuckled slightly at the suggestion. "If I do have a magic touch, I'm afraid it's only with hot iron and steel. I'm not much good for anything else." He lifted the cloth, which was beginning to warm from Susanne's fever, and flipped it over so the side that was still cool was on her forehead. "Perhaps the herbs Adi is bringing will help."

Edmund sighed, looking out he window. "I do wish she would hurry up, with all respect to the ladies."

Shyanne clears her throat, her dainty eyebrows arched at the men. She lifted her chin slightly as she said, "To speak of kissing a lady while she is disabled is both horrid and improper. You should be ashamed of yourself."

Aeryn finished most of her stew. Whatever was leftover, she gave to Chyrr, who heartily ate it up as if he was starving. "It shouldn't take us long to get out of the forest and to the inn." Aeryn said, moving toward the stream and rinsing her hands in the cool, clear water. Chyrr followed her and rinsed off his paws and muzzle. "Do you want to continue on, or stop here for the night?"
