Vayond: The Shadowed Hunters
Edmund looked over the top of her dress for blood. Still, if she got shot with an arrow wouldn't he have known it? "Yeah, probably. Please to meet you by the way." He held the girl in her arms. "Let's carry her inside."

Aeryn looked at the ground before her, eyes narrowed in thought. She said nothing for a while. Chyrr chirped and squeaked upon her shoulder, but other than that, the forest was silent. Finally, Aeryn spoke, "Someone needs to stop them."

Hinvi shook his head, and looked off into the trees thoughtfully, “Aye, that would be a good deed. It is a fine thing to dream of, and hope for. Rather then gettin’ depressed with the others, and thinin’ there isn’t anythin’ to do ‘bout it.”
Hinvi took in a deep breath, “Aye, that would be a good thing.”

Micah looked the girl over. There wasn't any gushing blood to be seen, and her chest was moving with breaths... but the breaths were heavy. She had clearly been through some great ordeal. "Yes, let's do that." He helped the boy carry her to make her ride as smooth as possible, and they made their way into the inn.
The first floor of the inn was also a tavern and eatery, so there were several tables and chairs around. The atmosphere was warm from two hearths and just a bit musky. The smell of a hearty venison stew hung in the air, and a quick glance proved that such a meal was being enjoyed by several of the tavern's patrons. Everyone in the room stared as Micah and the boy carried the girl in, and set her gently on a chair. "If she comes too, we should get her something to eat. I have some money on me."

Aeryn glanced at Hinvi. "Why hasn't the King done anything to stop them?"

Lady Shyanne yawned as she exited her room at the inn. Her curly blonde hair was pinned up with tendrils hanging down near her face. Her dress was blue, and she was wearing matching jewelry.
Her soft hand touched the banister of the stairs as she made her way down to the tavern part of the inn. At first, she had refused food and drink from the tavern, but now the smell was too tempting to ignore. Her growling stomach didn't help much either.
However, when she was about halfway down, her blue eyes widened as she nearly yelled (in a lady-like fashion), "Micah?"

Now, Edmund knew a pretty lady when he saw one and stepped up to her, ignoring the fact she was talking to Michah. "Hello, miLady. Micah and I just brougth in a poor misses who might need your assistance."

At first, Micah thought the had just imagined hearing his name being called; however, after processing it for a few seconds, he recognized the voice; though he couldn't imagine the person the voice belonged to being in such a place as this. He turned around slowly, and saw exactly who he expected to see: Shyanne, daughter of Lord Henrik, at the top of the stairs. His mind reeled as he tried to come up with a reason for why she would be here, but he couldn't think of one. "Shyanne?"

Shyanne nearly squealed with delight. She grinned and said, "Micah, Micah, Micah!"
She began to make her descent down the stairs, when Edmund stepped in front of her. Mouth parted slightly with shock, she listened to him. Stopping from her pursuit of Micah momentarily, she glanced at the girl and said, "Oh, poor thing! Is she dead?"
However, Shyanne's concern for the young woman didn't last long before she quickly made her way toward Micah, bumping into someone along the way, effectively making the man spill his drink all over himself. "Oh, pardon me!" The man only grumbled.
"Micah!" She ran towards him, grinning. "I can't believe you're here!"

Edmund spun around, facing boht of them. "Hello? We need a way to hide her from the Hunters!"

Aeryn glanced at Hinvi. "Why hasn't the King done anything to stop them?"
“I’m not sure.” Hinvi said, “Most have been called out for treason by asking such questions, so generally it goes unspoken. Yet, considering the fact that we are alone walking in the woods, you’re fine asking questions like that.”

"You can't believe I'm here? Correct me if I'm mistaken, but you're the one who's a bit out of place, milady." He heard the boy remind them about the girl, and he immediately knew he was right. "No, Shyanne, she's not dead; but she's severely worn and is unconscious." he turned to the boy. "I don't think the Hunters will follow her here; but we need to be sure she's alright. We might need to pay for her to stay here for the night." He looked toward the Innkeeper, hoping the man might have some mercy and help them out.
The Innkeeper looked upon the girl's frail form with sympathy in his eyes. "If she needs a place to stay, I'll let her stay here for half price for tonight. That's the best I can do. I can send for the town physician as well."

"I am not afraid to ask questions. Questions produce knowledge when answered." Aeryn quietly said. To herself, she though, Perhaps I have left home for more than one reason, then.

Shyanne smiled, her blue eyes sparkling. "Oh, I know it must be a little surprising to see me here. But I just had to run away." She lowered her voice and leaned slightly closer to Micah, "Father was arranging a marriage for me, to which I absolutely disagreed. He would have none of my pleading and begging...so, I ran away..."
When the subject turns to the girl, Shyanne has some compassion. "She can stay in my room, if you don't want to spend money on a whole new room..." She smiles lightly and shrugs.

Susanne stirred a bit, hearing voices swirling all about her. She felt a burning pain deep down in her stomach and it was most likely the pain of starvation that had been haunting her for the past three days. Trying to lift her head from the wooden surface that was below her, she found it only brought more pain, her head aching as it had been before with the beat of her heart. She lifted a frail hand and touched her face, wiping a tear from her eye which had been forming. "Hello?" she asked, the images and forms before her were blurry. She was still exhausted and realized she must have feinted on her ride here. "Ow...." she whimpered, wondering if anyone even heard her. Parched and weak she lifted her head, feeling her stomach reeling with nausea. Smells greeted her nose. The smells of food and drink, and burning pine, and the smoking of pipes. A tavern? How am I here....are they still chasing me!? Oh my head...I'm so tired she thought, and laid her head back down feeling like crying, but holding the tears in.

“That’s the spirit!” Hinvi said, “You kind of get tired of the whole ‘hush up or be shunned’ attitude you get whenever in most of the towns. I’m glad to have met you now.” Hinvi said with a bright smile.
