Bmlihtian Spotted the next one only a day later... perfect. She laid her pale, translucent hand on his unsuspecting shoulder. "Dare you step through the passage before you?" she asked in her wispy voice "This is the chance of a lifetime." she bribed "Several lifetimes, in fact." an unsuspected tear patterned down her smooth face. "Dare you take it?"

When Justin heard the strange ghost-woman's plea, he had stood, paralyzed, before her, uncomprehending her question. This was unlike any offer he had ever received, or even imagined, before. Step through the archway? His mind was telling him not to with such vehemence that he'd half-decided to decline, but an odd longing to walk through the magic-shrouded passage urged him on, and, not looking into her face, he answered the woman in a hesitant voice.
"Alright". His voice cracked, and he silently rebuked himself for agreeing to this strange...was it a quest? What exactly was it that the ghost woman was asking him to do? But his questions were not to be answered, or even put into words, for he found himself reaching toward the sheet of silken magic and touching the smooth, celestial glow of its surface, then stepping through. For a moment Justin was enveloped in a warm, misty substance, and then he was through.

Mathew Regallion walked a little bit aimlessly around what remained of Stonehenge... He'd been asked to write an article about the importance of this particular structure. The problem was that he really had no clue what it could possibly be for... for all he knew it had only been a really nice house way back when... he looked up at the blinding sunlight that was penetrating through a thin mist a clouds above him and leaned heavily against one of the smaller stones. not much time passed before he again grew restless and continued his ramblings among the ancient monument.
He stopped short before a magnificent scene of the sun shining right through the innermost arch and pulled out his notebook from his jacket pocket intending to write... when the scene blurred and a curtain like substance fell between him and the sunlight.
~~~~~
Bmlihtian again saw just the sort of person that she needed. She spiraled her wat down from where she had been perched on one of archways and placed herself in front of the dumbstruck journalist; she swept her hand out to gesture at the portal and said in an almost whisper "Will you enter at this gate?" She lowered her and and then stretched it out to the young man "It is a chance that few have been offered... to go back to the living days of this temple."
~~~~~
So that's what it is. Was Mathew's first uncomprehending thought. suddenly the meaning of the spirit's words struck him at full force, to go back in time? A shiver trilled up his spine, did her dare? he didn't wait to think about it; he stepped quickly through what might be his only chance to get ideas for his new article.

Selia wrapped her arms tightly around her when a nipping, cold little wisp of air whipped around her and tousled with her straggling blonde hair. she tried not to think about what she was doing here at Stonehenge, but, as usual, she couldn't help worrying. But, no matter, if her fellow thieves thought she could handle this than doubtless she could; not that picking the pockets of every other tourist there was going to be easy. Unfortunately, she was running out of luck today, for there seemed to be no one around here but herself and the incessantly biting wind. She wandered through the huge monument for a while, hoping that she would find some easy pickings and being constantly disappointed by this areas lack of tourists. Once or twice she miss-stepped and scraped her knees, wishing that she'd been given long blue jeans like she used to have, rather than this pair of threadbare shorts. After awhile she tired of meandering around the stone structure and sat down, leaning against one of the huge blue-stones that made Stonehenge, awaiting any tourists that might arrive. Gradually, she felt her eyelids droop, and she fell asleep.
Selia awoke to what sounded eerily like running water, or perhaps the hissing of a candle flame. She jumped up and looked behind her at the open archway at her back. There, swaying in the cold wind like a sheet out to dry, she saw the most marvelous draping of lush red and watery blue that was somehow as clear as the surface of a crystal goblet. It rippled softly and she thought she saw, just for an instant, that she she could see a crowd of people through it, but she could not make out the image clearly for the flaming, river-like curtain before her. Selia stood before the archway, gazing at the strange apparition and expecting at any moment to see, hear, or feel something inhumane around her.

Bmlithian placed herself between the young girl and the curtain that she was trying so hard to see through. "This will take you to a different time... a good time, and a bad time..." she paused for a moment "Will you go through?

If there was something Jarien wasn't, it was rude, or uncaring. These poor women were cold and the old one was tired, and they both looked hungry. Both his Mother and Father had taught him the values of hospitality.
He looked over at Adi and pursed his lips then nodded and shrugged. They sheathed their blades as one and Jarien held his hand out to the aged woman, offering it to help her descend the bank into the cave, "Let me help you, ma'am"

Viris Henting stood on the crest of a small hill, right hand shielding his eyes from the sun as he scanned the horizon in a circle. His silver armor gleamed in the sunlight, reflecting off of the polished metal. His helm was trapped in the crook of his left arm, unneeded.
In the small valley at the base of the hill, the soldiers under his command busied themselves with the remaining duties of cleaning up their campsite from the previous night. They were nearly done with their sweep of this section of the country, and when they finished, they received a month's leave in the capital. They were only now waiting for the last scout to return.
A soldier came up behind him and saluted, "Captain! Sir!" he held his position until Viris turned.
He did turn and looked at the man, "Yes Lieutenant?"
"Sir, the camp is dismantled, all the men are mounted and ready when you are." The man broke the salute and stood at attention. His helmet was also off, letting his blond hair wave in the breeze.
Viris nodded, "Very well" and came down the hill, passing the Lieutenant before his under-officer turned on his heel and followed. His men were in good formation, mounted, everything in it's place...orderly.
Viris tolerated nothing less than perfect order and discipline in his men... At least on the surface. Perhaps it attested to Viris' skill at command, but his group of men, professional soldiers or not, had a camaraderie that let them act as brothers. They treated each other as equals, with respect, and perhaps a measure of brotherly love... but, like siblings, they would jest and play pranks among themselves. Of course, Viris never participated in the fun (usually) but he let it continue.
In the distance, at first a speck, then growing into the shape of a man, their scout appeared. He was first known when his voice reached their ears, and then, ten minutes later, when he came running into their midst, breathing hard, gasping, "Sir..."
Viris raised and eyebrow and came down from his horse, standing in front of the man. This scout was not one of his own, but a man that had been attached to their unit by the King before being sent out. "Well?" Viris asked, "What have you to say for your appearance, and the lack of both your weapon and your mount?"
The poor man continued to gasp for air, then saluted feebly and tried to stand at attention, "Captain Sir!... I found the fugitive we seek..."

"Oh, that will not be necessary," Sephora said to Jarien. She took Quill's arm in both hands and continued, "My daughter is more than capable of assisting me."
Sephora, led by Quill, entered the cavernous trench. A few pairs of eyes watched them, but Sephora looked for a particular person. A smile spread across her lips as she did spy her.
But then Sephora's eyes narrowed. She knew this girl. There was no doubt about it. However, now was not the time to say or do anything.
Sephora turned to Quill and said, "Right here on this rock will be fine, Anne dear."

Shyanne watched the newcomers with wariness. She pressed herself against the wall, watching and waiting for Jarien to say something about the two strangers.

For a moment Selia was shocked, for, no matter how large of an imagination she might possess, this was nothing like what she was used to. What other thief would receive an offer to escape this potentially horrible life? She felt a thousand questions burning on the tip of her tongue, but something held them in, telling her that they would be answered in due course if she should accept this new offer. She looked steadily at the ghost woman, her eyes saying all that was needed, and, taking the spirit's cool, clear hand she felt herself being drawn through the curtain, and into another time.

Madison Sweeny walked around, inspecting every part of the Stonhenge. She saw broken down pillars standing anywhere from two to six feet tall. She could only imagine how tall they once were. She needed to find the perfect angle before she started drawing. Maddy had been sent to this area of town to draw up a set design for her next feature film, in Wich she was also starring in. Finally she stopped at the innermost archway and decided that this was the perfect place to film. The light that shone through it, the technicality of it; it was perfect! She grabbed her pad of paper and a pencil from her leather purse and started drawing. She was finished about half of the set, she looked up once more and gasped. There, in front of her the arch, which was recently clear and bright, was looking different then before. As she watched, a filmy, spider-webby substance came floating down and landed softly, draping the arch and covering it completely. She tried to look around it but for some reason the substance followed her eyes everywhere she looked. She closed them tight, wishing the stuff would go away, when she felt something like a warm breath, not smelly just warm, on her face. She looked up and saw the most beautiful woman she had ever seen.

Jarien permitted them to pass into the cave, and followed them in. Adi moved to his side, "The poor woman." she whispered.
He nodded, but watched them wairly. Though he didn't really suspect them of anything more than being what they said, he was so on edge, part of him was still rebelling about letting someone ELSE into their hideout.
His girlfriend and himself crossed to the other side of the cave, near Shyanne and Susanne. He looked at them and motioned Brendlyn to come back as well, "They appear to be in the same condition we are... tired, hungry... but keep your distance."

"Ah, this is a very nice fire, isn't it, Anne?" Sephora said, pulling her cloak tighter around herself.
She looked at Jarien and said, "Oh, where are my manners? I am Ariana and this is my daughter, Anne." She motioned to Quill. Sephora used one of her other names so no suspicions would arise. "We are traveling to my brother's home in Lythacus, but seem to have gotten a bit lost. I thought it would be quicker to go through the woods rather than around, but I was very wrong. My daughter has already scolded me for it, however."

Lisa Kelley was slowly walking through Stonehenge, seemingly cold to it's beauty, simply looking at the ground to see where she was going. She could hardly be blamed, as she'd been here many times before. She had come with her uncle to stay near, as he had business, so she was free to wander wherever she wanted. As there was usually nothing else to do, this was where she came.
Finally she looked up, because a bright ray of light hit her face, and she realized that the sun had finally come out of the clouds that had been everywhere all day. She looked through a pillar, and saw something glittering on the grass.

Bmlithian stood before the young glamorous looking woman (Madison Sweeny) and beckoned her warmly to look more deeply into the archway. "You see before you a chance they few have been given." She said, her voice lilting slightly in sorrow "Will you now look upon the past with four others of your kind?" She moved in closer and took the girl's soft hand. Against her own will she whispered "Help me."

Lilly had no clue how much further it was until she would reach the boy's room, she knew she was going in the right general direction but that didn't help the fact that she could have passed it already and not known. She sat down to give her bruised leg a rest (McKenzie had really kicked it hard) And wondered what it would be like to have been someone else... someone who hadn't ended up in some strange place where all of the sudden they've been left a difficult task that was apparently going to have to get done if she was ever to get out. She touched her bruise to see if it hurt, it did.

"But, seriously, of the maybe-save-your-hides sort. I happen to have seen what happened at the Inn that night. I know who you're avoiding and why. And I also know that They are coming back and coming soon. You and your group are in grave danger." She raised a hand before he could interject, "And if you want to know how I know all this and why I would care, I'll say this much: I make a habit of knowing everything that goes on everywhere. I'm not quite omnipresent, but almost." She chuckled softly at her quip. Her laughter was very odd, usually so quiet it was hardly audible. And even when she wasn't actually laughing, she looked as though she would start laughing at any moment.
