I like the dress for the most part...it may not be the prettiest, but it looks good on her.

I think the dress is either a dark gray or a dark purple with gray tints. It could be green but it definitely has a gray look to it right now.

To go with an earlier discussion. The fabric definitely looks fuzzy or soft. It looks like a wool or suede to me, maybe even a moleskin. Could it even be a light velvet?

I wish there were more pictures of this dress, but there really aren't, QueenSusan. All we know we've gleaned from the two brief trailer shots linked here! No telling if we'll get more pictures before the film comes out.

If you still want to make it, I would recommend a pattern like this. Shorten the sleeves and take the V-notch out, add trim around the neck (maybe something like this), and belt it (maybe with a sash edged with the same trim?). Since we don't know the color, you could find a fabric you like that seems close, whether it's purple, gray, or green, and even if it's not "accurate," the outfit could be your interpretation!

I find it very interesting Susan's wearing a gown while Lucy is in the pants and shirt. I do agree though, it seems rather dull for a queen's dress. Grr, now I'm curious!

Just finished making this dress for my lion party today. Looks perfect. Now to see the movie to get the specific details! I will upload a picture later today.
