What does everyone think of Susan's Narnia dress in the four shots of the Pevensies walking at the end of the trailer?

It looks pretty different from her other Narnian outfits, more somber.

My knee-jerk reaction is that it reminds me of her purple dress in PC.

Closer look says that I haven't a clue what the embroidery on the collar is. Bowling pins? Leaves? Peapods? Stingrays?

There are pintucks down the centerfront, and I think I don't see a shoulder seam. I am intrigued.

It does remind me a little bit of her dress in PC except the purple in that movie was pretty, this is just weird and the dress doesn't come off as royal. It looks more like a peasents and it's damp looking. I don't like it at all. I can make a much better judgment of it if had a full view instead of cut off. I'm hoping this scene doesn't make it in the movie at all ;)

I'd say the embroidery on the collar is some sort of stylized leaf design. Would anyone back me up that the color looks like some sort of thick, smooth felt?

I agree that this is a more somber dress then we've seen yet for Susan. It reminds me of the early middle ages, especially that distinctive collar and the simplicity (of what we can see!).

Susan's hair is done in a rather harsh style, IMO -to go with the somber dress! ;) But it looks good on her.

It does look like that, Adeona. Could be just a heavy brocade too, though. The fabric of that trim reminds me a little of Éowyn's green gown underdress fabric.

Could it be something more like a cloak or a coat than a dress? (If it is, I'm guessing those would be pleats rather than pintucks.) Just look at the way it's folding and draping below the shoulders. If there are armscyes (armholes), we should see them, unless they're dropped off the shoulders. I might be seeing a shoulder seam below her right shoulder, but I still suspect the cut of the outfit is different from what we've seen so far.

Brocade seems a more likely fabric than felt, but I might be more convinced that it is if I found a similar resolution pic of Éowyn. I think we'd be seeing more texture. Personally, I'd been considering some sort of wool or suede...

Also, the reflection on her shoulder is acting the same as the rest of the fabric i.e. the only difference is on the embroidery.

I love the dress! I think it's very pretty, and I also like it that Susan and Lucy are 'even' as far as clothes go. I always thought that they dressed Susan up and sort of left Lucy out. Especially at the Farewell in PC... Lucy's looked so plain vs. Susan's...

But also, this is a very pretty dress, makes Susan look great, and isn't making it look like Lucy never gets the 'pretty' stuff. I'm happy since they're even now =D

This is actually a dress I would *love* to have. Previously, I always wanted Lucy's clothes over Susan's (I'd still rather have Lu's uniform over the green dress, I cheer for Lucy anyhow) But this dress is cool! B-)

I think we're not meant to like it. like, she's going to wrong way, forgetting Narnia and Aslan and calling her siblings silly for liking Narnia. so I think this dress is to reflect that and in that respect I like it :)

Does anybody have a close up of the new picture in the trailer showing her whole dress? The dress looks quite comfortable, but I still can not tell what kind of fabric it is.

So far as I know, this is the best shot we have.

There's some sort of belt at the waist, I think. Interesting how it seems to be combining elements of both her main dresses from PC.

I still don't like it. The color is awful, the fabric looks like velcro <--(dont know if I spelled that right) and uncomfortable, I don't like the sleeves. the only best features about it are her belt and the flow at the bottom, that's it.

I love her new dress. I reminds me of both her main PC dress and her green LWW dress. I think the design on her collar is etching in velvet. The design looks like it's lower than the rest of the collar.

Here's an example of etching.

Neat! I'd never heard of fiber etching before. But that definitely looks right, Susan's_look_alike!

I just learned about fiber etching last week so when I saw her dress I thought, "Wonderful! Now I can try my hand at it!" Plus it looks just like it.

Does anyone know the specific color for the dress? I have heard some say it is green and some say it is gray. Anyone know what fabric this is? Any other help would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to make this for the premier of VODT, and am having trouble finding information on it. :- Thanks
