Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap fabric stores?
You can't help feeling stronger when you look at a place where you won a glorious victory not to mention a kingdom, hundreds of years ago.
Also, does anyone know where I can find fabric with a pattern like susan's purple dress? And how do I dye fabric to the color I want?

When I found the fabric for that costume. I found a similar striped cotton at Wal-Mart, I also have seen some similar fabric at Joanne's. Hope this helps.

I was just at Joanne fabrics yesterday, and saw some great fabric for the purple dress. Has anyone seen fabric with a similar print to Susan's LWW coronation dress?

I've seen striped fabric like Susan's purple dress as both a cotton and a linen, also at JoAnn's and at Michael Levine.
For Susan's LWW coronation dress...I've seen fabric like that in the upholstery/drapery section. It's a close weave and color match, but it might be a little heavy for a dress.
I would really love it if someone could tell me the name of the leaf pattern on Caspian's Farewell tunic. I keep thinking they're like repeated gingko leaves but I feel like I'm very wrong and there's another formal name for it.
I made Susan's green archery costume for my 8 yr old kid. You may check out the photos at http://eagleindisguise.blogspot.com Wish I could make another blog on how to do it but it's already done and I don't have in-the-making photos. But feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
By the way, the fabric I used on the green dress is called Peach Twill. The inner white garment I just sew along the shoulders, not really separate so that it won't be lose it's place when worn.
This is just for a kid's Halloween party, not the exact replica, but I managed to copy and embroidered the chest part. Hope it's helpful to you...
Hi, I'm HOPEFULLY going to be making a "Lasaraleen" costume. It's going to be taken off of simplicity pattern 5359. It's the one with the skirt and pants and happens to be the biggest picture on said pattern.
Could you guys tell me what you think, and if any of you have made it before, give me some tips?

I haven't made that pattern before, so I can't offer anything specific, but it looks like the ideal choice for the Calormene look!
You might check out the reviews and images posted by people who've made this over at PatternReview. The pattern gets high ratings, they say it's easy for beginners, and a few of the individual reviews have tips. You have to register to read reviews that are older than six months, but it's free.
Thanks! I'll DEFINITELY look into that

Hey. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good pattern for Susan's cloak from LWW. I've been looking, but I can't seem to find one without a hood. Thanks for any help!
