Has anyone thought about Anna Sophia Robb? I know her face might be really sweet or cute, and that she's famous and has acted in like, twenty movies, but, do you like her looks? Here's a pic of her.

Anna Sophia Robb could pull it off, I think... but she's not British... I don't have a problem having a famous actress play Jill, it might help bring in more people (which will always help move production along). Right now I think the producers need to do anything they can to get the movies really popular so the Narnia series won't tank

If she can pass as a young teenage English girl, I would consider her.

I'd like to see Jill with a slightly different look from the Pevensies and Eustace - more like reddish blonde, or even auburn. And preferably with curls or very wavy.

By the way, if she is 14/15 in SC (film), she doesn't have to be 21 in LB - the ages and the time lapse can be adjusted so that Eustace and Jill are still at school - if they are played as 17 or so, the three older Pevensies can be just 19 -22, and Lucy might have to be the same age (but no longer at school?) It is just possible that Eustace could be nearing the end of his final year at school and have turned 19, while Jill is a year or so younger.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

I understand that Coracle but if they want to get the years right seven years would of had to go by. Maybe college students would work. Anna Sophia is like 18 now and doesn't look young anymore if anything her looks strike me more for Polly. Jill if anything should have light brown hair to me with almost Camilla Powers look but softer features.

Annasophia Robb would be great.....except that she's 18 and she doesn't have a British accent......

Don't get me wrong but 18 would be a good age since Will would be 18 in 8 more months. It's not that much of a year difference. And I also don't think that if you're American you can't do a British accent. I'll say that that is c**k. There's so many American actors and actresses (including me) that goes through these training or simply studying movies to get accents right and we take different language courses as well. Look at Claire Danes, she's American but is in some British movies where she talks with a British accent and your favorite person on here Sairose, she's American but is doing a film where she has to do a British accent. Same with Bridget Jones Diary, the actress is American portraying a British accent. It's what actors do. ;)

Again with Anna Sophia her looks does not strike me as a Jill Pole. An actress who looks like Sariose mixed with Camilla Powers looks with light brown hair and hazel eyes would work fine.

The only way I'd want an American actress playing Jill would be if she had a top-notch, authentic accent. But I don't see why they'd need an American, there's got to be enough talent in Britain :P

I'm just saying just to add fairness in auditioning girls both in England and in America. It's not an opinion of mine that they should get an American girl to play Jill but it would be cool and fair to see American talent a chance rather then just auditioning British girls.

I think an American girl should play Jill. I always imagined jill looking like Anna Sophia Robb but I don't think Anna should do it. My opinion is that she's just been nearly everything and a new fresh face should be Jill. Someone who's unique to the character. But I would also want someone with a really good accent. A fake accent that any British person could indentify as fake wouldn't cut it.

I really have a hard time saying what I want Jill Pole to look like, or who I want to play her, because I know that the filmmakers will probably surprise us with who they choose, and I think I trust them to do so. I've never disliked the actors they've chosen, because the filmmakers have done such an exceptional job and the actors naturally mold themselves into the role. For example - in LWW, Lucy was always mentioned to have golden hair. Georgie Henley has brown hair, but I would still pick her for Lucy in a heartbeat because of how she just fits.

That said, I think that I would prefer a relatively unknown actress, one who is still fresh in the acting business. On the one hand, a famous actress would pull people in to see the movie. On the other, an unknown would probably be able to fit into the unique role of Jill because she hasn't played as many people and hasn't been seen in a ton of different movies (kind of like the actors in LWW). The reason Will Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes & Georgie Henley were able to pull off the roles so well is because they made themselves become the characters. With more popular actors & actresses, I can see that it might get difficult to be in so many films and still add a unique touch to each one.

Either way, I won't be too disappointed - as long as the girl can act and convince us that she is Jill. :p

The British Accent has so many different dialects, all an American, Canadian, etc can do is watch a film with some one doing a British accent and practice that. I say give American's a chance to audition for Jill Pole!

I don´t know about that. I mean, I know I was the one who proposed Anna Sophia Robb, but I was talking about her looks. Although it wouldn't be a big problem for me if an american girl played Jill, I still think that it would stop being Lewis' BRITISH narnian book. I don't mean to be offensive or anything, I just don't think an american girl would fit as the role of Jill. But who knows, after all, casting directors do work magic. ;)

On another matter, I read some of you thought Jill should have curly hair. Would that be reeeaaaallly curly, or just loose waves. In my humble opinion, if she has a looot of curls, she shouldn't be blonde, maybe more of a lightish brown, and it's not that I personally prefer a lot of curls, but I wouldn't mind her being strawberry blonde with loose waves. :D

All I know is that in the book it says that she's small, so she better be short, I hate it when they don't cast by description :P I also hope it's someone who hasn't been in many (if any) films, because I would really like to see someone to on the screen... and I definitely think it would be fair to let girls from all over to try out, it's not only the British girls that are amazing actresses :)

Jillhope, "small" doesn't necessarily mean "short". I was never under the impression she was extremely short, just slim or petite. :)

I don't deny there's talent in America, Canada, etc, but I would see it of a waste of resources/energy to cast a Jill who wasn't British to begin with, unless she was extremely good with accents.
