The more I hear about Will, the more I'm sure that he'll play the role of Eustace perfectly! :D

After watching the three new clips, I think that Will made the perfect Eustace! He is a very good actor! I love the way he says the little rhyme! I suggest everyone to watch those clips.

Yes, now that we've had a chance to really see Will P. acting out his role enough to evaluate his performance a bit, I think he will make a great Eustace. I think most people are liking his interpretation of the character so far. :-bd

Even for those who don't think that he lines up 100% with their concept of Eustace, he should still be close enough to eventually win almost everyone over. (At least I think he will.) :)

Looking forward to more clips and Will's entire performance when VDT comes out. B-)

At first I felt Poulter played Eustace more agressive than whiny. I always felt Eustace was this puny, whining brat ("who couldn't fight Lucy let alone Edmund" as Lewis says,) not so confident. Maybe he changes once he gets on the Dawn Treader, as there is less security.

I do like it however. Poulter did a great job with how he was (I assume) directed. The acting itself is fine. I'm just not sure if I want a more agressive Eustace, and where the director and writers are taking the character.
I always imagined Edmund in LWW to be like this actually.

Anyways, I sure am on Will Poulter's side; I really want to like his preformance. Can't wait to see more.

I really loved when he was apologizing for his past. He reminded me of Edmund in LWW. He seemed so vulnerable.

Will's performance is very different from what I thought it would be -- more gruff, I think, then I pictured. But I do like it. I can't wait to see his whole performance in the movie this Decmber! :D

I wasn't too sure if I was going to like Will P as Eustace, But after I saw the clips I love him as Eustace! The way he portrays Eustace is just like the Eustace I imagined.

I really hope that in the finished product, there is still that scene between Eustace and Aslan and the undragoning, instead of just Eustace narrating what hapenned while they talk about it in the coracle. There needs to be a scene that is Aslan and Eustace on screen, with no one else on screen. Otherwise, the only time it will show the two of them together will be at the end. And at the end, in the book, Aslan didn't even talk to Eustace in that scene -- only to the Pevensies.
What I'm afraid of most is a lack of Will Poulter in this movie. What with focusing on the Pevensies, Caspian, the islands, special effects, some battle sequences, creatures, etc., Eustace might end up fading into the background. But I don't want him to become a background character. In the book, the focus on him was the same amount, if not more in a few parts, than it was on the Pevensies.
I thought he would be one of the movie's major selling point, being "The New Character" in the Narnia franchise. But with the addition of Gael (and perhaps even extra attention on Lilliandil), Eustace has become only "One of a Bunch of New Characters", which isn't a good thing at all.
Then, what with him being a dragon for a longer period of time, and the characters possibly leaving him behind on the island for a long period of time, how much of Will Poulter are we really going to get to see?
Eustace's story was one of the most important (if not the most important) parts of the Dawn Treader plot. I hope the movie doesn't stray from that.
It''l be a big mistake cutting his screen time, especially considering that he takes over as main character in the next movie. If we get to know him well enough in Dawn treader, then Eustace taking the lead in SC will seem fine. However, if he fades into the background, and then suddenly everyone finds out he will be the hero of the story next time, it will be very awkward and strange, especially for non-book fans.
Let's all hope and pray that we'll get lots of Eustace this December!!

I don't think you should be too worried that Eustace will have little importance at this point. We've seen a lot more of Edmund, Lucy and other things in the trailers, but I think the reason for that is because we know more about them and have seen them in the other two movies. Viewers who havn't read the books but have seen the movies might be more likely to come back to see the stuff they're familiar with than things they don't know about.

I'm sure as more footage, the books, and other things come out, you'll feel better about how much of Will Poulter will be in the movie. I really want to see lots of him, too! After all, he is a vital piece of VDT. Hopefully, Eustace will prove to be a great character! ;) :D

I can understand Eustace+Jill's point of view at this moment because we don't see Eustace at all after a certain point when he discovers the treasure which will obviously be on the lone islands. He's not on Ramandu's Island [even if that is the island], he's not on Dark Island and he wasn't with Caspian, Lucy and Edmund on the ship when they were getting close to the sea of lilies. So DamselJillPole and I figured he's been a dragon for that long or he might have changed back on Ramandu's Island if Dark Island doesn't come after that. But we'll see soon.

I first thought that Will Poulter is younger than Georgie! (Especially that you'll look at their pictures together) Anyway, he's 2 years older than me, and he is an equivalent of 4th year high school or college student in my country, but with his looks, I thought he shouldn't be in high school! Anyway, he has a potential, so why not give him a try? I hope he's just as annoying as Eustace Scrubb in VDT. ;;) ;;)

Ah yes, if we really dislike him because how annoying he is, then we definetly got a great actor playing Eustace! :)
