I already picture him as a pretty nasty person when being Eustace, so I have no idea how he's going to act like a good kid in Silver Chair.
Well I'm sure he is nice enough in real life, he could just be himself

I'm sure he'll do a good job at that too. He was nice in the third clip we saw, with the Lillies. And he did a pretty good job of acting there too. I'm sure "mean" isn't the only personality he can portray. He's a good actor. Have you seen Son of Rambow? He had mean moments and nice moments in that movie, and did brilliantly in all of them.

I don't know if this is new or not, but I found this picture of Eustance. It shows him writing in his journal aboard the Dawn Treader. I hope this counts as new news. ^_^

I'm a little bit interested, if we get to know in the movie what he writes in his diary.
"Things never happen the same way twice, dear one."
LiveJournal
Well, in the book, Eustace was writing in his journal to describe his point of view for a few days.
I wonder, will they have Will Poulter narrate what he writes in his journal? It was fine in the book, but a journal scene might seem a bit odd in a movie... I hope it turns out okay.

Well, if we can assume he talks to himself a bit(from the second clip), I would imagine he'd likely read what he wrote. I just hope it works, and it won't feel weird.
Imagine someone found his journal and read all the nasty things he said. I personally wouldn't like the idea, beacuse that itself might is wrong (to read other people's private journals.)
Nonethless I expect we will find out what he is writing in some way or another. Otherwise non-book fans might be confused as to why the journal is there.

Finally, Son of Rambow was released 6th Nov, in Japan!
... It was renamed as Little Rambows, as the English words in Japanese Kata-Kana characters. I don't understand why it should be like that. I hate Japanese traditional renaming!
Anyway, Will P. was so brilliant!
And how young he was!
As Eustace, I like his act on the three clips.
I think he was good at both bad and good Eustace.
I can't wait to see him as Eustace on screen!
Well..., I have to wait 3 or 4 more month.
Today I had an idea while I was watching trailer two (the one that came out on Diary of a Wimpy Kid). I'm not sure if this is old news and I'm behind the curve, or what, so bear with me!
There's a voice-over during some quick clips in the trailer. "You have an extraordinary destiny. Something greater than you ever imagined."
I think that's Reepicheep speaking to Dragon Eustace!
Everyone's been saying that it's probably Reep's voice, but I don't think we figured out who he's speaking to. Obviously not himself, and Lucy and Edmund aren't coming back to Narnia. True, they don't know that, but why have a line like that in their last movie? I suppose it could be spoken to Caspian, but I kinda doubt it. I'm pretty sure this is part of one of Reepicheep's encouraging talks with Eustace.
What do you all think?

^^^Sounds exactly like something Reep would say! I hadn't noticed that! That's going to be one of my favourite parts; Reep comforting DragonEustace.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
I think that Will Poulter was a good casting choice for Eustace in VDT.....but I have been thinking about the SIlver Chair a lot lately and I am starting to doubt whether or not he will be able to carry a movie as a lead role.
In LWW Lucy and edmund were the strong actors and the standouts of the four penvensies (in my opinion) and it worked well that they are in 3 Narnia movies.
In VDT Eustace will only be a supporting Character because there are many main Characters (Lucy, Edmund, Reep, Caspian) and he spends "the heart of the movie" as a dragon. I think that this stresses the need for a strong lead role for Jill and Puddleglum because all three of them will have a TONNES of screen time in SC because a lot of the movie is the threee of them travelling.
^Remember, Hollywood LOVES to add, cut, and change to books that they make into movies(ugh ), so it might not feel that way when they make SC. But I've been wrong before...
I agree that Eustace isn't overly important in some of VDT, but he's still usually there. One change I had in mind for Edmund in VDT was that they gave him more purpose and an arch of somekind, and to my relief, they did(although I didn't expect there'd be scary green mist and the WW involved ). My big thing for Eustace in SC is that they give him more importance as well, as long as it's not including pride, something that doesn't fit, or something that we've seen too many times and don't like. Jill and Puddleglum are very much still important characters to me, and their character archs are important. But since it's nearly a two hour movie they'll hopefully be making, and since Will is marvelous, I'm positive they'll be able to give Eustace more reason to be there, and that Will will be able to keep the character still eye-catching and heart-winning as he has in VDT.

After meeting him in person Friday at the Beverly Center, I think he will be able to do that. He has obviously grown physically and is very mature for his age. But I also saw in him the kind of "presence" about him that should come across on the big screen. The kind if presence that would enable him to carry a movie in a leading role.

Well, it's encouraging to know that Will "relishes" the prospect of playing Eustace again in my interview with him.
