So no gossip? Which is what movie role speculation amounts to? Thanks, starkat. It helps to be reminded of the forum rules, something people don't always look at when they post something.
Btw, interesting avatar.
EDIT: On the "about" page of his website, Skandar says he'll start university in October. We still don't know where (Cambridge?). I guess speculation is pointless until we have confirmation. http://skandar-keynes.com/about.php
Skandar's studying in Cambridge, if true, will really build up his image as an actor.
Skandar only appeared in how many movies then? If you guys know some. As far as I know, I think he only starred in few movies, but I don't know how many.

@sandy: Go to IMDb for Skandar's complete filmography. He's made 4 movies (and one documentary) so far. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1342727/
I want to know when the fansites will decide to be up-to-date. I think Skandar needs a new fansite or two! And I wouldn't mind if his official site got a makeover. Will a new photoshoot ever appear? I'm beginning to wonder about Skandar's agent, compared to Georgie's.
Back on to Skandar as Edmund.... I'm interested in how Skandar will handle the sticking out tounge at Uncle Harold. Somehow, I just can't see Edmund doing that...he seemed so much more mature(than Peter ) in PC. I hope they don't ruin that maturity in this film, because I rather liked it! Let's just say, currently I'm not too thrilled with how they're handling Ed's character.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
^Me too. I loved him so much in PC, but apparently major characters are relegated to being immature in these movies, so now that Peter's gone, he has to have a bigger part.. and.. well, he's left sticking his tongue out and agreeing to throw Eustace overboard. This is not Edmund.
I don't mind about him wanting to go fight in the army so much, but I have issues with him 'wanting-to-be-king' so much, if it's shown as a big deal in the movie.
Like, he was okay with it a year ago but now he has problems? That makes no sense.

Sticking out his tongue at Uncle Harold and wanting to throw Eustace overboard may sound a bit much or immature for Edmund in movie VDT. But let's not forget the few times he was a bit immature in book VDT. I think he ridiculed Eustace a bit in the bedroom scene. And he wasn't too kind to Eustace early on board ship. I think the potential for Ed's occasions of immaturity and anger at Eustace, in the book, have been tweaked a bit for the movie. This doesn't bother me much at all. I'm not sure how to handle the 'wanting to be a king' part. I've already discussed this elsewhere on the forum, in plenty. I'm tired now.
Back to Skandar...
I would really like someone to create a new fansite for him. The three major ones (all in English) are a bit out of date (see below). I think Skandar needs some online TLC from a few Narnia fans! [He's the coldest Narnia boy right now. ] I'd start a fansite myself but I need more information: $, technical experience, and time involved. If anyone is willing to give me some info or help, I'd appreciate it.

^Wow. There really are a lot of Skandar fans out there. He really is an amazing guy. Too bad he's an atheist, but he still is great.

I like Edmund being more immature in the movie. In PC although he was nice, he was really boring. :9 In the book he's immature anyways

Edmund is the most stable of all the characters, he should be the least immature. They might have Mr. Scrubb as a REAL jerk, which might explain it.
Edmund's immature behavior in the trailers: Let's go back to book VDT.
Chapter 1 (Edmund quotes)
To Eustace: "You're not wanted here."
To Lucy: "Don't ask him what an assy-thingummy (assonance) is. ... He's only longing to be asked. Say nothing and perhaps he'll go away."
To Eustace: "You won't see it if you step outside."
I think the potential for Edmund's early (and rather immature) behavior toward Eustace in the movie has some basis in the book! I'm wondering why Edmund dislikes him so much. Does he see some of his old self, before Aslan changed him in LWW?
^^ you are right! he is like that in the book and they are just expounding on it! I think that that's going to be Edmund's tepmtation (at least in part) to be t Eustace like Peter was to him in LWW.....

I know there is some basis for him acting immaturely (in England), I just don't think this is true for the majority of the book, whereas it sounds like it could be carried over into more of the movie.
Neither can I imagine book Edmund sticking his tongue out at his uncle or actually getting into a fight with Eustace. I got the impression that he rather considered Eustace beneath his bother.

I agree with Aslans Country. Edmund merely made witty/sarcastic remarks at Eustace because anybody, no matter how mature or immature they were, would get annoyed with him and try to get rid of him somehow. I don't think it shows that Edmund is immature, I think it shows that Eustace was just dog gone annoying and only Lucy had the patience to deal with him. I mean, even Reep couldn't tolerate Eustace for very long, and no one could call Reep immature. Edmund is too noble and self possessed and practical and mature to go around making faces at Harold and let Eustace goad him into fighting. I think Edmund saw Eustace as a king would see a very annoying courtier who could never stop complaining. Someone who was always upset about something and would always try to get on everyone's nerves without actually getting them so angry at him that they would show how much better they were at everything (including fighting) than he was.

Wanting to throw Eustace overboard? I hadn't heard about that... where was this mentioned? I had heard about him sticking his tongue out at Harold, but not throwing Eustace overboard. Does he actually try, or just say he wishes he could?

This was actually from one of the reports of the screening in New York. No, it's not as bad as it sounds. Reepicheep asks Caspian if they could perhaps throw Eustace back in, and Edmund nods his in approval, which Lucy exclaims in shock, "Edmund!" So it doesn't sound like they really do try to throw him in, but I think it was only put in for laughs(or to show how annoyed Edmund and Reepicheep are of Eustace).
