I mean, for all we know, that part doesn't even make the movie! and if it does, then who's to say it's going to be in the movie for a long time?

Even if it is in the movie I'm sure Edmund feels useless in his own world since he is only 14 and in Narnia he could defend his own Country when ever he could. Earth is his world too so he wants in some way to help it. It's not like Peter whom demands for his rights over a fist fight.

Yup. Edmund is probably too mature to get in a fist fight.

Hopefully we will have more of Edmund in VDT. Because I was very dissappointed that there was so little of Edmund in PC. I think there was even more of Trumkin than Edmund in PC

Edmund is only acting like peter because that's natural. In a way Peter is sorta his Role Model. most every boy wants to be like his older brother at least a little. I mean even I want to be like my brother a litte, and I'm a GIRL!!!!

I would strongly disagree that Edmund's character through VDT is what Peter's character was in the movie PC and that Adamson stole Peter's attitude from VDT Edmund. In fact, Edmund really only pulls the authority card on Caspian twice: once wrongly (at Deathwater Island) and once correctly (When Caspian declares he's going to the end of the world with Repicheep and is deserting ship: Edmund says, "I'm not your subject. And I say you may not go.") The first time he pulls it was wrong, obviously, because it was full of greed. I think it is neat that C.S. Lewis added this fall of Edmund for this short period of time because while you're sad Edmund would be greedy, it shows that he's not perfect yet. However, the second time he reminds Caspian that he isn't his subject, and is even pretty much over Caspian (he is one of the four ancient sovereigns, after all), Edmund was RIGHT to say this to Caspian. But, back to the main point, Edmund only ever pulls rank on Caspian twice...not throughout the whole book.

I agree, edmund isn't acting like peter, he is jsut doing what he thinks is right, and doing a good job of it

Sheroo, thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one that disagrees about Peter's attitude being stolen. Edmund doesn't have an attitude in VDT, he has one, perhaps two spots. Peter's attitude is for most of the movie. And I certainly hope they don't make Edmund have an attitude for the majority of VDT. He's my favourite character, and it would ruin the movie a lot for me. But as of now, I'm not really worried.

On other matters.. who else loved Skandar's performance in the new videos? I love when he says "I never should have left him". And it's looking like Edmund may still get his talk with Eustace somewhere. If he does, he has to say the line about being a traitor. It would make my day if I could hear that line now I know it's going to be in the movie.

I'm really excited for his part in VDT (like you can't tell ) and can't wait to see more.

I don't think Edmund's "struggle" as it were will be exactly identical to Peter's in PC nor as severe. I mean, he was the steady-as-a-rock type in PC and saw what his brother went through.

So I am really hoping and believing that any changes won't be as big or offensive as Peter's in PC were to many.

in pc, peter was going through a really tough time, he needed to protect his people and reclaim his country, he just lost hope, edmund, seeing all that would never develope peter's attitude. ed needs to be stable, for his country and his people.

I also like when Edmund says, "I never should have left him." To me, it seems that the movie will show how Edmund struggles getting along with Eustace, which I'm happily hoping for. This would really be a great character arch for Edmund, to see how he at first is really annoyed and bothered by Eustace, then feels guilty for not treating his cousin nicer, and finally forgives Eustace, and learns to relate with him. I sure hope this is what they're doing!
