Could you do a tutorial on that misty effect on #9 and 11?

I could do a tutorial, but it would really only be on the coloring. All I did was mask out the backgrounds in each, replace with black, and add one of the textures from hyaline12's White Shadows textures set on either Screen or Lighten Only (#9 was Screen and 11 was Lighten Only). Sorry I can't be of more help.

HM, I did see it, and tried to half answer it there. I didn't have time to link you anywhere though, sorry! The textures section of my resources post on LJ is a great place to start. Lover asked me to do a tutorial of sorts, which I'm hoping to do, and I can explain how I get my backgrounds there. (The short answer is lots of different textures set to different layer modes. Oh, and the Colorize tool (Colors>Colorize) has been a very good friend. )
lover, thank you for your wonderfully long comment! I can certainly try to do a tutorial. It's lot of experimenting, and there really is no one size fits all method, but I can explain the general kind of steps I do. As for your avie, it looks great! I love the texture use.

Hey! I had a request.... Could someone make me a signature with lyrics from "Everything Falls" by FEE? I like all of the lyrics, and I'm not sure which ones to choose from. Ooh! *snatches and throws up as the background* I like it! I like it a lot! The only thing I would change is the picture in the upper left. Somehow, I guess because of the texture on that picture, it just doesn't quite seem to fit. But that's just me. I like it very much! It's different (and of course better!) than most everything I've found on the internet! Thank you soooo much! I really, really appreciate it! And, it looks totally awesome on my computer. lol
