Hello everyone. I feel a little lost since I've never been here before, but I'm sure I'll find my way around soon. I am of course a Narnia fan and have been for years. I love to write, sing, do art, play fiddle and piano, garden, and spend time outdoors. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and learning more about Narnia. :)

I can second that! Everyone in there is so nice, helpful, and eager to have new friends to talk to! Don't worry, I know it can seem daunting at first, but it won't take you long to jump right on in!

Jo, Liberty, and I (plus many, many others over the years!) have all survived the jump into Ditto Town. And to be honest, I've met and made most of my Nweb friends in there! It's a great place to get to really know your fellow Narniawebbers. And I like that there is a place to go and talk, when there are things you want to say that don't fit elsewhere.

Anyway, welcome to all our new members!
I can't wait to get to know you, and chat with you about all sorts of things! (including Narnia ;) ) If you ever have questions, please feel free to pm me, or one of the other moderators. We'd be happy to help! :)

See you around the forum!

Wow! So many warm welcomes! Thanks everyone. I just noticed now about the newcomer questionaire so here's mine.

1. Name (please avoid your real full name): Ember
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): Queen
3. Family (single/married/kids): married (two and a half years! :) )
4. Occupation: homemaker/music teacher
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I was searching for info on the next movie coming out "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" when I stumbled on this website.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: not sure, but maybe seven or eight.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: I've listened to the audio books a lot and read most of the books at least once through. Some I read several times through.
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: the Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, and the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I mentioned my some of my hobbies in my earlier post but here they are again with a little more info. I love music. I teach piano and fiddle/voilin and I enjoy singing as well as playing around with the guitar and mandolin. I am part of a family band which plays Bluegrass if anyone here is familiar with that style.

Also I enjoy doing artwork so maybe I'll do some narnia fan art and post it in the artwork section sometime. ;)

Writing is fun too, though I have trouble keeping stories short and simple. The stories want to get too big and complicated and then I can't figure out how to finish them. :-s

I love being outdoors, especially working in my garden. I have a cat named Copper, but my husband and I would like to get a dog soon.

Anything else interesting? Ummm...I like to yodel and compose my own music.

Welcome, BoyScout! You like to go camping? So do I! In fact, I'm traveling to Wisconsin next week to camp with some friends.

And welcome to Ember! (Is your username taken from The Books of Ember or another source? Just curious :) )

In addition to Fan Art, it looks like the Spare Oom has a few threads you may enjoy: Writer's World (latest post here), in which we share ideas, thoughts, and experiences in our writing, a discussion on Gardening (latest post here), as well as several music threads.

Enjoy the forum!

No, I don't know what those books are. I just love the name Ember so I decided to make it my username.

Hi,
1. Name (please avoid your real full name): epsilontheta
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): Queen
3. Family (single/married/kids): Single
4. Occupation: Student
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: It was mentioned a couple of times on Ascast and I follow the twitter account. I decided to join when the trailer for VotDT came out
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I think I was reading them as soon as I *could* read!
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: Countless times.
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: The Horse and His Boy
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I LOVE to read, sing and listen to music and watch TV. My current faves are Dr Who, Merlin & Bones. I also love debating and discussing peoples opinions with them, but I don't like to argue. I enjoy good movies, deep conversations, and being a good friend and sibling to those I'm not related to. I also have a severely autistic younger brother.

I think that's everything. Can someone please tell me how long the probation is?

Welcome to all our new members---we're glad to have you here! :)

Welcome to NW, epsilontheta! :) I hope you enjoy your time here. I'm Valia, one of the NW moderators. In answer to your question, probation generally lasts for 10 posts. :)
Also, since you like to debate, you might want to look into the Christianity, Religion and Philosophy and Wuv, Twue Wuv - and Mawwiage! threads (I've linked to the most recent pages)---there are often good debates going on there. :) There's also the Books! and Television threads, since you mentioned reading and watching TV. Just look around and, if you can't find something or need help, feel free to ask me or any other of the moderators. :)

To the future, to the past - anywhere provided it's together.
