So I don't think that's "ludicrously young" at all.
Ha, I didn’t quite mean that 5 is super young to be introduced to it, I more meant that I feel a bit like a fetus on this site when it seems that so many of you have been fans for twice my lifespan 😅 I was 5 in 2005 while some of you were already on here; sometimes feels a bit like a kindergartener trying to sit with the much, much cooler big kids!

Oh, I see. I wouldn't say being older necessarily makes one "much, much cooler" (at least in my case)... And there are others here who are older than me, in turn. I'm just happy to know that there are younger people embracing Narnia as enthusiastically as I did when I was little, and that it means as much to them as it always has to me!
"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."
(Prince Caspian)
*Breathes in and out a few times to calm self.* I just wrote out my story, forgot to save, and clicked add reply. There was a sudden network glitch, and I lost it all 😭 ... So, again:
My first encounter with Narnia was as a young child. My family owned the bumper video of the BBC's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and us siblings were all very fond of it. My sister owned LWW with the BBC cover, as well as Prince Caspian; however, it wasn't until another few years until I would actually read them for myself.
As my interest re-ignited in the early 2000s, I was increasingly very cut up about the fact the LWW video had been lost. I had such a strong childhood nostalgia for the series and I was so excited when I saw that the series had been released on DVD! I was bought the collector's edition and that is when I discovered that the BBC had adapted further books to series!
I bought The Silver Chair - coloured illustrations edition - at a book sale at secondary school and from there I decided to collect and read all of the books. I was then bought the set (which I still have, though have never been too fond of the cover art).
As rumours grew for the first Walden film, I started looking online for more information, especially through NarniaWeb! So that's where I'll leave it. My interest in Narnia continued on and, indeed, continues on...
