I couldn’t agree more about it not being in Digory’s deathbed. He dies in the great train wreck. Though it is a movie, so I guess they could deviate from that, but then we couldn’t have seven friends of Narnia in The Last Battle. I’m worried that the time shift is more to make this a period piece on life in the 50s, specifically linking the deplorable word to the atomic bomb. And we all know the consequences the time shift has for the other books.
