Justin stroked her long, dark hair noting the resemblnce between them too. If only he had chosen the same path at her age. Still, Peter became a Christian at thirteen, at fourteen he had been addicted to his pills. Miley was just naturally sweet. Sure, she did have the time when she was jealous of Susan and stole her makeup but...He shook his head. It was no use. All sin was the same. But Miley just seemed so innocent compared to him. "Thanks."

Peter followed Brian into the house, rushing to the computer. "OKay, I have a computer but how do we turn your on?" He asked, not wanting to break his friend's computer.

The man on the other line of David's phone asked, "Who is it?"

Chloe's heart melted at seeing her sister so upset. She lived a quiet life,dreaming of fairytale endings. Even reformed bad guys have had pretty good lifes but her husband was a reformed bad boy yet he still has to suffer. She put a hand on her sister's shoulder. "Hey, maybe we can go shopping?"

Brian chuckled and pressed a button on the machine "Just press this button once. See? It's coming on."

"On Peter Scrubb and Brian Gillman. I want to know if their records are clean. Who exactly they are? What their history is things like that" David said swiftly walking toward Justin's. He planned on keeping two eyes on him as much as possible.

Miley nodded, trying not to cry more by covering up her mouth with her hands but it didn't help. "Oh Justin i'm going to miss you!" she cried and hugged him tightly crying. "I don't want you to go to prison. Everyone is going to miss you!!!! Oh Justin!" she looked at him "I promise to do everything you want me too...I really promise!!!" Her breath came out in gasps as she sobbed.

"Shopping?" Maralyn asked a single tear rolling down her cheek. "I have to got Justin his breakfast..." she said standing up

Peter laughed. "Oh, I shoulda known!" He looked at the computer, as it turned on. "Search double jeopardy"

The man on the other line said, "Peter Scrubb was a bully until sometime later in seventh grade. THen, in eighth grade during the fall he got suspended for bringing pills to school. He is fourteen and Justin's cousin. Brian is their friend, his record is clean."

Justin held his dear sister close, kissing her forehead. "I'm sorry I was such a bad brother." He shut his eyes, blocking the tears.

Realizing her mistake, Chloe siad, "Oh, maybe after. I'm sorry, I go shopping when I'm upset. SO, I thought you might want to." THen, she tried to tease, "But you will want to bury yourself in a book after giving Justin his breakfast."

Brian sat down and pulled up the internet and typed in 'Double Jeparody' in the google search box, coming up with results "Let's see"

David was silent for a minute then he let out a growl "so that Peter kid has a record. Thanks. David out" he then hung up and rushed faster to get to Justin's house

"Maybe" Maralyn said sighing. She went over to the stove to cook him a hard boiled egg. When she got there she suddenly was hit by a wave and dizzeness and weakness. She sunk to the floor almost falling but cuahgt herself on the counter.

"your not a bad brother!!" Miley exclaimed shaking her head. She touched his arm "No no! Your a wonderful brother and I love you....you made mistakes but we all have and now your different and wonderful!"

Chloe rushed to her sister's side, trying to hold her in her arms. "Maralyn! Are you okay? Do I need to call the hospital?"

Peter leaned over. "It says you cannnot be tried for the same crime twice. Let's show this to the police!"

Maralyn held her stomach. "I think I'll be fine Chloe...thank you" she said standing but wobbling a little. "I don't know that's wrong with me..." she said sounding about to cry

"I wish I could. I'd tell them how you've changed now. How your such a wonderful brother and how everyone needs you Justin!" she said staring at him with hurts eyes

"but Peter they already know this!" Brian said

Peter felt his blood boil, as he crumpled the pocket of his jeans. "Then why are they coming after my cousin?"

Chloe sat Maralyn down on a chair. "Here, let me fix him something. You just sit here." All of a sudden, she heard a ring on teh doorbell.

Justin could not bear seeing his sister so upset. "I wish I coudl stop this. I wish I could stop them from cutting off my hair, taking me away from Peter, Johnny, you, Maralyn and..." He let out a sob. "My baby girl! I made my baby June had in high school die. Now I won't be able to see this one for three years! I want to hold her. Watch her make her first step. Watch her call me her daddy. I want to hold her when she skins her knee for the first time. Have her play with my hair. Teach her how to swim. Buy her lots of teddy bears." He wept. "I won't be able to go to a church that realizes Baptism is required for Salvation." Sniffing, he said, "I'm cancelling youth group this week. I won't be able to have it. Call our friends and tell them youth group is cancelled."

Miley after what he said was so sad she ran from the room. She stopped right outside the door, sobbing hard, unable to take the sorrow on her brother's face any longer. She sunk to the floor crying her breath coming in short gasps "Oh Justin..." she whispered knowing he couldn't hear

Maralyn heard the door but, she wasn't well. Sweat stood out on her brow and she rubbed her temples. "Chloe...can you answer the door for me please?"

"I don't know Peter" Brian said swiveling around on his computer chair to face him. "But.....I'm not sure how we can help him"

Still crying, she heard the doorbell ring. She rushed down the steps, to find Chloe about to answer it. "I'll answer it. You can get my brother his breakfast. If he is capable of eating it. It looks more like he's being eaten instead...and so am I." She opened the door to find a strange, scary man. "What do you want with us?"

Peter took control of the mouse and decided to print the sheet. "We are going to store up evidence that what is happening to Justin is wrong ."

Chloe shrugged and fixed some breakfast for Justin. Entering his room, she slowly closed the door behind her and set down the plate. She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Justin?"

Justin ran a hand through his hair, wishing that it probably wasn't the last time. He accepted the eggs and oatmeal CHloe made for him. "Thanks." He tried not to think about not being able to see his family or friends again. "How's Maralyn and Miley?"

"Uhh...they're holding up," Chloe said vaguely. She didn't want to make Justin further upset. "Will you be all right?

Justin sat the plate on his lap and picked up the fork. He mumbled grace, and took a bite hoping getting his mind of all the bad things would help comfort him a little. He looked up at his step sister, Chloe....and by her eyes he could tell she was hiding some from him "Is Maralyn okay?" he asked again, wiping his nose with his sleeve. He still shook slightly, his legs and arms trembling.

David, looked at the young girl at the door then pushed past her. He had found out about Peter....Peter had a record and if Justin was talking or even seeing him things weren't look good. He heard Miley protest strongly as he pushed her out of the door way. He stomped toward Justin's room.

Peter folded the paper and shoved it in his pocket determined to help his cousin. To pove he was changed and didn't need to bo back to jail. Brian tapped him on the shoulder as they ere leaving.

"Pete....do you realized if they send justin back for longer than a year, they won't send him to jail they'll send him to prison. Which means he'll have to be shipped out of ditton town to one of the big prisons!" Brian said concerned.

Peter felt as if he had been punched inthe gut. HE took a determined step out the door. "Why? Why prison?"

Before Chloe could anser, she saw Justin quickly scamper to sit up straight, eyes opened wide. Turning around, she saw a mean looking man.

David eyes were hard and he stepped forward with a piercing gaze. "This isn't looking good Mr. Thomas " he stepped toward justin "I just found out that Peter scrubb, your cousin, has a record. A bully, suspended for pills?" he shook his head. "I suggest you stop seeing and talking to that kid if you want any chance of not going to prison"

"Becuase, when some one is sentenced to be locked up for over a year he's put in prison. Jail is for temporary prisernors, people who have been sentenced for months. But if they are sending him for a year or more it's prison" Brian said shaking his head
