Jen looked at Emmy's piece. It looked so..so sad. What was wrong? What happened? She decided not to read too much into it. After all, writing cna be dark at times. She finished her paragraph on a fickle little girl stepping outside in snow without a coat. Okay, that was her Emmy doesn't know that. Especially since she used the name Mary.

"Church?" Milania gasped as if it was a bad word. "You've never gone to church before...." regaining her cool exterior she casually asked "Is that how your changing? I think I could stand it...if I had to" she said and played her fingers over his neck

Chuckling, but not enjoying her cold touch her give her a smirk "Maybe...I feel I owe it to more than one person" he said then grasped the handle to the glass door "Now, shall we have lunch? I can't wait to taste their buffet"

Brian absentmindedly bit the end of his pencil thinking of the questions in front of him. He indeed knew who Jane Austen was for his mother read many of her books. Taking a breath he scrawled what he knew and glanced over at Logan Looks like he is having trouble...though I wouldn't doubt it...most boys don't know about writers such as Jane Austen His eyes stroking back to his paper he vaguely answered the next quiz question which was not too hard. Then he thought of hanging out later with Logan and Peter. Skate boarding lessons? He wondered why Peter hadn't just asked him, he could skate board well himself and knew most of he tricks, though half of them he couldn't do. I could teach Peter the basics as well as he could...oh...ugh...think Brian....ignore him.. he thought and returned his mind to the quiz

Abigal watched entertained by the movie. She loved he action and it was a nice distraction from her legs "I love the kiss at the end....it is very romantic don't you think Amanda?"

****

Maralyn thought for a minute, then smiled slightly up at Justin "No thank you Justin...I think I'm alright" She would have asked him for a drink if he not been cradling Sarah, but she wasn't about to make the smile on his face disappear.

Justin looked at the warm bundle of joy in his arms, glad for a second chance. "She's so pretty. Wonder if she would like my favorite football team?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amanda giggled. "Well, it does show Susan caring more about boys than Narnia."
Peter made a few notes on Jane Austen, fondly remembering giving Jen Pride adnPrejudice a gift and Justin picking on him for reading some of it. He wrote: Jane Austen harbors on the arugement against superficiality in Pride and Prejudice. We must be more concnerend about a person's character, than looks or social status. After finishing, he tried daydreaming about basketball
In the end, Logan scribbled something down about Jane Austen being the author of a book called Prejudice and Pride. That sounded right; he was pretty sure he’d seen the coming attractions for the movie a few years back. And of course, he wrote down that the main theme was about prideful people and prejudiced people; that was mostly a guess, but it couldn’t be far off. Time period: medieval, of course; that was easy! And then, as a final touch, he added: The book was later made into a movie, where the main character was played by the actress who played Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean. He looked his answer over, shrugged, and moved on quickly.
He sighed audibly when he saw the next question was about Shakespeare. Is the world out to get me today, or what!?
Emmy read Jen’s writing intently. It was about a little girl named Mary; it was a cute story. It made Emmy smile a bit. Jen was a good writer. Perhaps she and Jen would be really good friends…
Emmy frowned, remembering her last ‘best friend’. She pushed the thought from her mind; no use thinking of that now.
Kayla smiled shyly. "I like it. Sounds poetic. What do you like to do in your free time?"
"Oh, well, I draw and paint." Rosamunde smiled. "A lot."
Peter scribbled down some notes on Shakespeare, trying not to go on too much about how he loved Hamlet and Macbeth. He wondered if there would be a play on them at school this year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jen paid attention, as the teacher made rules for the next activity. they were to introduce themselves and say what they liked the most about writing. When it was Jen's turn, she said, "The romance of it and people able to think better."

"Lots of stuff." Rosamunde said. She stopped in front of a door. "Here's Ms. Benson's room."

Brian found himself smiling as he saw the next few questions. He knew them all fairly well and hoped maybe for a B or C grade at least. He knew moderately enough about Shakespeare, like when he lived and what style he wrote in, but when it come to the collections of his literature he was a little rusty. He wrote down Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet, knowing those were two of his famous ones. He also wrote what he knew about the books and plays that were done on them. When he thought had had done fairly well he went onto the next three questions. I wonder how Logan is going....or does he even know anything about English? Contented that he might be doing better he wrote more, trying to to be so full of himself.

"Oh that's not why I like it" Abigal said in a dreamy voice "I like it because it's so sweet and romantic...and there is so much if you actually watch for it"

**

Ian sat at the marble table, picking up the lavish menu that sat before him "Yummm...what will I order today? Something as expensive as I can" he said giving Milania a mischievous smile

"What ever you want Ian. The pleasure is mine" she said in a slick voice beckoning a waiter

*********

Maralyn chuckled "Oh Justin that's silly....but I'm sure she'll be just like her father"

Logan exhaled heavily as the teacher called for pencils down, and began collecting their sheets. His eyes scanned his answers, and he wondered how he'd do. He stole a glance sideways; from the look on his face, Peter seemed genuinely happy with his outcome. Logan looked past Peter to Brian, and for a second realized that Brian had glanced at him, too. However, Brian looked away quickly, and Logan did the same. Wonder how he did? There was no way to really know; Brian's face didn't give much away.

Emmy's heart skipped a beat when it was her turn to introduce herself and say what she liked about writing. She hated speaking in public. She cleared her throat and started speaking, though her voice sounded terrible in her own ears. "I'm Emiline James. I like writing, because..." she froze for a minute as she thought. "Because it gives me a way to express myself. It lets me recreate the world my own way, the way I want it to be."

Justin laughed, "Not so sure I want that."

At lunch time, Jen joined Peter at the lunch table, since the both packed. "Hey. How was your day so far?
Peter answered, Pretty interesting." He shrugged. "What you do today?"
Jen smiled, "Well, I met a really nice girl. Her name is Emylla. So, you in any classes with Logan?"
Peter nodded. "Yeah, English. We had a quiz today and I did pretty good. Do you think they will have plays on Shakespeare?"

Logan looked around the cafeteria and spotted Peter, sitting next to Jen. Logan made his way over in that direction, and immediately took a seat with his lunch. "Hey Pete, hey Jen." Logan was glad Brian wasn't at the table; not yet anyway. "Jen, are you still coming with us to the skate park later?"

-------

Emmy looked around the room, but couldn't find an empty table. That meant she had to sit with others; something she didn't really want to do. But, if she had to sit with someone, she wanted it to be Jen, so she searched the room for her, finally spotting her with two boys. She sighed when she realized one of the boys was Logan. If she went and sat down with them, he'd probably tease her, as he loved to do, and then Jen wouldn't like her anymore. Oh well, I don't have a choice. She approached the table. "Um, can I sit with you?"

Emmy shrugged, but before she could answer, Logan spoke up.
"Nah, Ems is a major bookworm. She'd never want to come out and have fun in the sun... i think she's allergic to sun." He chuckled.
Emmy frowned at her twin brother. "I might want to come," she said. As soon as she had said it, she wondered why; Logan was right, she usually didn't like socializing.
Logan was surprised. "Really? That's weird. you usually stay up in your room with your cat and books all day. You'll probably be bored."
