Peter turned to Jen. "Then Chrissa and the girl disappeared and went home."
Jen's eyes grew wider. "And that's when she called Miley. She has to be at the shelter!"
Peter said, "Well, I finsished my breakfast. So, let's go."
By the time they got to the shelter, They found Chrissa in a heated conversation with the instructor. Jen rushed to her. "Chrissa! Your mom is worried about you!"

Chrissa sighed. "Sorry I don't have my cell phone on" she said to Jen not seeming too concerned. "I wanted to come and not let them know"

Tammy looked at Peter, Jen, and Miley. "Well Hello" she stated, sounding frustrated and upset. Chrissa had been pesturing her about getting Natasha adopted.

Miley shook her head. "Chrissa, now you got them all worried. Now what are we going to do?" She whispered in her friend's ear. "You could get arrested for runnign away."

Peter asked, "How is Natasha doing?"

"I didn't run away!" Chrissa snapped. "I was going to come back later I just wanted to visit Natasha!" she wiped her eye which had a tear in it. Then turnng to Peter she said in a hurt tone "Natasha is crying on her bed becuase she thinks no one wants her!"

Tammy stepped back from the argument not wanting to get invovled.

Peter looked at Miley. "Maybe Justin can?"
Miley thought for a minute. "How about I call and ask?" Then, She dialed Jusitn's number.

Justin picked up on the other end, sitting in his car in front of the jail "Yeah this is Justin Thomas how may I help you?" he inquired, not knowing yet who it was.

MIley answered, "Justin, it's me. Do you think you adn Maralyn can adopt this 12 year old orphan girl. Nobody seems to want to adopt her and when they reach a certain age, they go out on the streets."

Justin was taken aback by his little sister's sudden eruption about the little girl. He leaned back in the seat if his car, realizing he was going to be sitting her for awhile. "Miley.....well....." he ran a hand through his thickening hair. "You know Maralyn is going to have a baby soon....our very first child. I don't know"

Miley pleaded, "She could hel[ with the baby, I'm sure a sister would be great for her. Please she has no where to go. Can you help us find a home for her?"

Peter came behind Miley. "Here, let me talk to him."
Miley nodded. "Okay. Justin, Peter wants to talk to you."

Justin sighed and closed his eyes. "Peter...." he had a inner feeling he knew what his cousin was going to say. It's not he didn't care about a little girl, an orphan, in need of a caring him. But Maralyn was going to have a baby.....plus he couldn't just adopt without talking to her. And she was sick!

Peter suggested, "How about you call Maralyn, then you can call us back?"

"Peter...." Justin said firmly. "I can't say I'm prepared. You know Maralyn is already sick from all the stress, and the baby is coming soon. I know you understand" Peter heard his older cousin say on the other end. "I'm not refusing, after the baby is born I'd be very happy to look into adpoting this little child"

Peter ran a hand through his jaw-length hair. "Okay. So, maybe after the child is born?"

"Yes Maybe. But I can gurantee anything okay?" He said, wanting his little cousin to be clear on what he was saying. "After the baby's born I promise I'll strongly consider adopting her"

Peter smiled. "Okay. I'll give you time to consider it." He felt Miley squeezing his arm, anticipating an answer. He put his hand over the phone. "He said after the baby is born, he will strongly consider it."
