What is your top place to visit, hands down?
Rome. I've always wanted to see Rome, especially after taking Latin.

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
I think I'd like to live in the UK. I've always wanted to visit London, but I'm not sure I want to live there. A smaller city near London would be nice.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Israel, India, Japan, New Zealand, Australia..........

What places have you been?
Nowhere worth mentioning, other than the Canadian side of Niagara Falls (but I was too little to remember, so I don't think that really counts).

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit?
NYC, San Francisco, Canada.

What is your top place to visit, hands down?
Right now, probably Russia or Sweden. I'm hopefully going to make Russia happen later this year but Sweden will have to wait a while.

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
Probably Paris, I've had a few extended stays there already and I think I'd really like to settle into the culture for a bit longer.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
Hmm. I'd start with a trip all around South America, then perhaps some places in Africa, then China, Japan, and maybe some other countries in that area.

What places have you been?
France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Greece, USA (California, Hawaii, Texas), Mexico, and all around the UK.

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit?
Greenland, Iceland, India, Canada, some more European countries like Finland, the Ukraine, Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.

What is your top place to visit, hands down? Scotland! :D I'm about 70% Scottish (with a healthy helping of plain Brit as well), so I'd love to visit the UK in general, but especially Scotland. I mean, bagpipes, the Gaelic language, and awesome accents--it can't get any better!

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
Somewhere in the UK (either London or Wales), or Israel.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way? Hmm. I'd start in London and go to Paris and the French countryside, then Austria (especially Salzburg!), Greece, Russia, Japan, India, Egypt and the pyramids, and various places in Africa, before finishing up in New Zealand!

What places have you been? Nowhere out of the US as yet. :( Within the country, I've been to Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming! Exactly half of fifty. ;)

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit? Hawaii, Alaska, South America (mostly Chile and Peru), and Pakistan. And I'd really, really love to visit Iraq someday.

What is your top place to visit, hands down? Tie between the British Isles and New Zealand

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be? Somewhere in Spain (I love the Spanish culture) or London

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
Oh boy well I'd start with Scandinavia, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the British Isles, Iceland, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chili, Zambia, Botswana, Egypt, Morocco, India, China, Mongolia, Taiwan, Tailand, New Zealand and Australia

What places have you been? Poland for the first few months of my life, southern Russia, Belarus and south eastern Ukraine

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit? Netherlands, Peru, Cuba, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Japan and I'd love to tour all of northern and western Russia

What is your top place to visit, hands down? Europe. I've always wanted to visit there.

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be? Somewhere that speaks Spanish! I've always thought that people who live in two language homes are the luckiest because it's so easy to learn a second language. And I think the easiest way to learn a language is to be immersed in it so I'd want to be somewhere that speaks Spanish. I know a little bit and that'd be a way to learn more. Plus, I LOVE Peru so I'd love to go back there.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way? Everywhere. Seriously, an around the world trip would take me like ten years because I seriously want to stop everywhere!

What places have you been?
US: Kansas, Washington DC, Indiana, Ohio, Colorado, Oregon, Washington state (don't really count this because I've only been in the Sea-Tac airport), Florida, Alaska (live there :p ), Oklahoma (don't count it because I was two at the time and don't remember it at all), Pennsylvania, New York (Niagra Falls rocks!), Illinois, South Carolina (just an airport so I don't count it), and Hawaii.
Other countries Peru, Canada (British Columbia and Yukon Territory), Ecuador (two airports so I don't count it), and I'm going to Guatemala this summer.

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit? everywhere. I would love to visit every continent and every country some day. That's one of the reasons I'm considering photojournalism in college: it'd give me a chance to travel which I LOVE!! I even like the six hour flights. My dad hates those and says stuff like "I have a soft bed at home; why should I travel?" And I just don't get how he thinks that way. Traveling is the best thing ever. I love the feeling I get when I'm on a plane flying somewhere or in a car driving somewhere or on a boat traveling somewhere. Everything about traveling is just so great!

*End of passionate speech.* :p

What a fun topic! :D

What is your top place to visit, hands down?
Might have to say Southern California--it's my home away from home and there is so much to do and see there! (And the weather's mild).

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
That's easy--Blackburn, UK. I want to be by my little (NW) sis! And I loved it!

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
I want to visit every continent on the planet, so I would start with that as a goal in mind and go from there!

What places have you been?
Nearly all of the lower 48 US states (missing New England, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Kansas!); Vancouver, BC, Canada; Mazatlan, Mexico; Paris; Lucerne (Switzerland); Belgium; Amsterdam; Heidelberg; and England and Scotland.

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit?
I would like to visit all the US states (especially Alaska); New Zealand; Australia; Italy; Austria; Spain; southern France; Russia; just about any and everywhere! ;)

What is your top place to visit, hands down?
Similar to wild_rose, actually: New Zealand (for the utter idyllic, natural beauty of that country and the southern night skies) and the British Isles, specifically Oxford, England (because of the Inklings), Scotland, and Wales.

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
New Zealand, 'though I'd love to study at the Kilns near Oxford for a term or two.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
In the same vein as "beloved" from page 1: anywhere by the sea; also mountainous regions. Nowhere hot! :P

What places have you been?

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit?
I'd like to go and see the beauty of the eastern provinces someday, particularly the delicate and nostalgic (think Anne of Green Gables) loveliness of Prince Edward Island and the gorgeous wildness of Newfoundland/Labrador.
The Swiss Alps
The Scandinavian countries
A cold, snowy country
A concentration camp from WWII, terribly hard though that would be
The Holy Land
Bulgaria, whose natural beauty is stunning, so I've heard/read
Different parts of the world where NarniaWebbers reside :)

(EDITED a wee bit)

What is your top place to visit, hands down?
Britain (aren't I original?) for the history, the culture, the free museums, London, Oxford, Scotland, Wales, all that good stuff ;))

If you could live in one place/country for a year, where would it be?
That's cruel. ;) Anywhere in Europe. And I'd love to live and work in a third-world country for a year. Or longer.

If you were planning an around-the-world trip, where would you stop along the way?
See #5. It would be a long, long trip. ;)

What places have you been?
BC (live there), Alberta; Washington State, Oregon, California, Texas, Arkansas; Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the UK (for a day, which hardly counts), Hong Kong, Kenya, Thailand when I was really little, China when I was even littler, and the Tokyo airport. :P

My parents were missionaries in Hong Kong (which back then was still under British control) until I was four, but I remember it pretty well. I'd like to go back someday.

And I got back from a mission trip to Kenya two weeks ago which was pretty awesome. This

(Kenya has the nicest people on planet Earth)

is so true (at least if you're a mzungu, I wouldn't know otherwise). I'd love to go back there too but not to live, since so much is already being done there. Everyone we met there tried to convince us to stay ("You must find a good Kenyan husband and learn Swahili and then you will be a true African woman!").

What are all the other places not mentioned above that you would like to visit? Everywhere. Everywhere. :P In particular, the Netherlands, France (Paris. War sites. Art. History. Sewers. ;) ), Germany (Wittenburg, WWII places, oh and I guess some relations :P), anywhere in Africa, Finland, Iceland, India, Italy, Greece, Australia, New York, San Fransisco, anywhere particular NWers are which would take far too long to list, Israel, the Middle East (maybe Afghanistan), the eastern side of Canada (I consider anything past Edmonton to be East really, but you know, Ontario and Quebec and the Maritimes :P ).

I didn't enjoy Paris as much as I would have liked. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but it was difficult traveling with my grandparents who are stereotypical terrible American tourists. 8-|

Heh, I feel your pain. I was in London for the aforementioned day with some people like that and it was really frustrating--London and Paris, of all places to waste /:) But it was fun anyway, we got to see Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, and I'll be back, I will. :P

All the countries I've been to (ok, so like 3!) I've done backpacker/missionary style....and it's possibly the funnest and best way to see a country and really meet its people (although if I had to go back and travel in first class hotels I wouldn't refuse -gheckos and all manner of toilets aside) ;))

:)) I've done both (first-class hotels courtesy of benevolent grandparents) and backpacker/missionary/travelling on a next-to-nothing budget is absolutely more fun. Even taking the toilets into consideration. ;) In the Dominican Republic we stayed at an all-inclusive resort and it was so...I don't know, fake, sheltered? Just a bubble of rich North Americans who had come to enjoy the beaches and nothing else. /:)

*chokes with laughter at "mzungu"* That word is still part of our vocabulary. ;) People told you that? Haha.

I'm curious- (If it's all right for me to ask.) where did you go for a missions trip? (As in, which village? Assuming that you went to one, of course.) :)

Interesting, everyone! :)

How could I have forgotten this?! A desire of mine is to go to Ethiopia some day to meet our sponsored child (for 12 years now—from ages 7-19) from Compassion International, Maramawit. (What an entirely cool name, hmm?)

Outside of the U.S., I've been to Israel and Amsterdam. A group from my church went when I was 16. My grandparents paid for the trip for me and my mom. My Dad couldn't go with us that trip. Our layover was in Amsterdam and we had a day tour. Then we went on to Israel.

I'd like to go to England and Scotland one day and the Vienna Riding School in Austria.

Russia, Ukraine, Belaruss (not much, I know)

and I was like 'wow someone was in the same countries I was in', then I looked at who it was and 8-| ;)) later in the evening I said "De_De how come you've been to the same countries I have?" We thought it was really funny
