Something pretty unique happened with me and Doctor Who just recently.
I started out the series reading it. I read television scripts, and let me tell you, I absolutely loved it! I wish I had all of the seasons; the scripts that I read were great reads.
One of the scripts that I read is called The Waters of Mars. I liked it pretty well because of the writing style, so I remembered the story after finishing the read, though I never knew the title because the scripts that I read weren't titled, just color-coded for which draft each was.
Then, the other night on NetFlix, I saw a David Tennant Doctor Who episode in the "Recommended For You!" queue. Mostly I've only watched Christopher Eccleston's doctor because I'm starting with the first new season, but since I really love David Tennant's doctor, I opened it up and watched.
It was The Waters of Mars! What an experience that was-- reading the script and seeing how it was written and then seeing it come into realization. Really, seeing just how the director interpreted the script was really neat. It was also cool to see which bits of the script I read that didn't make it into the final.
Yeah, I definitely want to have that experience again. It was great; really magical, even.
"Let the music cast its spell,
give the atmosphere a chance.
Simply follow where I lead;
let me teach you how to dance."
Very cool, sweeet! What a great coincidence that the script you were able to read matched the episode you watched!
I finally caught up on the latest 2 episodes despite all the weekend excitement here. (I'd recorded both as I'm away weekends helping my parents pack for their move; they no longer have any TV).
Imagine my surprise when, during the early part of "The Doctor's Wife" my cable system broke in with a tornado warning! I knew local broadcast stations did it but I've not seen it on cable before. So I missed a couple of important minutes early in the episode but was able to piece things together just in time for the next interruption about half an hour later.
Pretty enjoyable episode though. I enjoyed the exchanges between
"The Rebel Flesh" was all right but I was wondering the same thing mm1991 mentions in her spoiler. Part two of this episode airs June 4 in the US, then the show goes on summer hiatus.
EDIT: Thanks to mm1991 for the correct schedule mentioned below!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I think you're mistaken. May 28th is the airdate of "The Almost People", the second part to "The Rebel Flesh". June 4th is the mid-series finale episode, entitled "A Good Man Goes To War".
TARDIS wikia has a page on
From what I've read, a lot of people think she's some type of inter-galactic midwife from the future but I don't agree with that.
Since Steven Moffat says we learn who River Song is in this series (probably in the fall), I want to ask people, exactly who do you think River Song is? There's a lot of mystery surrounding her and I have heard a lot of....crazy theories!
I think River Song is:
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"
- Dr. Seuss
Hmmm, there seems to be some confusion about the airing schedule. Sites like IMDB list new episodes May 28 and June 4, but I just caught a BBC America ad for "The Almost People" coming June 4 rather than this Saturday. They're advertising a 24-hour DW marathon May 28, featuring episodes from series 5 and all of series 6 to date.
BBC America's Doctor Who page promotes both the Memorial Day Marathon and the airing of "The Almost People" June 4. Maybe "A Good Man Goes to War" will air June 11...
Great ideas on River Song, mm1991!

I believe that the UK and American schedule may differ starting this week. Don't quote me on this, as I'm not 100% positive, but I think that the UK will get The Almost People this week as usual, while the US will take an off-week for the holiday and then either air the last two episodes back-to-back or just be a week behind? I'm not sure. I do know that there's only two more episodes till the show goes on summer break, so it's possible that the US will just end one week later than the UK and then the schedules will sync up again in the fall.
That turns out to be correct, Gymfan. "The Almost People" aired this past weekend in UK...I came across a serious spoiler whilst investigating this. The mid-season finale airs there this coming weekend.
"The Almost People" will be on BBC America this weekend with "A Good Man Goes to War" coming June 11.
This Special Feature will likely close a few days later, after discussion on these 2 final episodes.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Australia will screen "The Almost People" this Saturday.

Thanks for the correction!
I'm dying to see 'The Almost People'!

No comments on "The Almost People" ??
Serious spoilers follow:
First, a fun quote:
And a reference to another TV show I enjoyed watching:
And I need to rewatch it at an earlier hour to catch all the nuances...my bed is calling now.
But how about

I enjoyed the two-parter very much. They're certainly not the best Who episodes but they were solid, traditional Who (except for the ending - wow!) I thought the final form of the ganger was creepy but less so than the earlier more humanoid form. Probably had something to do with the cheap looking-CGI. So many questions... Next week's episode looks great!

All I can say for now is that I am soooo confused!
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"

oh. boy.oh. boy.
oh. boy.
oh. boy.
oh. boy.
However, it drove me nuts that the Doctor was willingly wielding people as weapons in this episode. It completely contradicts the 10th Doctor and the scene in the vault in Journey's End and his reaction to Davros' taunting.
A few days ago,
I was a bit bummed but at the same time I thought to myself, well I don't know
It was also disappointing because I was so against the prediction that River Song was Amy & Rory's child. Oh well.
I guess this confirms that River (is she still going to be called that? Or Melody now?) is the Doctor's killer.
Oh, and I just KNEW she was a Time-Traveller!
Despite the bumps in the road, this was an overall great episode.

Nice to see this thread become alive again. I've been waiting for everyone to join me, since I watched the final few episodes awhile ago *coughcough*. Anyway, I'm itchin' to discuss everything with you all.
I'm going to speculate on the second half of the season now, and since I do read spoilers, if you don't want to read what could be pretty informed guesses, you might not want to click below.
That's what I am pretty curious about, actually...those three months between the space of The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon. It's never really explained. We're 'led' to believe that Canton gets all messed up by the Silents and starts hunting everyone down, but then that is later revealed to be a ruse. So why set up the ruse in the first place? They seemed to be in fairly secure standings at the time of the warehouse incident; Silents notwithstanding. How come the Doctor gets captured? Because he's clearly captured; Canton wouldn't pull that whole thing together just for a lark. He's clearly working to get the Doctor out and reunited with Amy, Rory and River; so the Doctor had to get himself in that situation in the first place. And that's a whooooooole lotta beard and hair growth for just three months. Hmm.
Did that whole situation (The Doctor in a high security prison, Canton pretending to hunt down and kill everyone, who were apparently in on it, since Amy and Rory didn't seem to be really shocked that they were still alive once in the prison and weren't "Canton; you tried to kill me!!") strike anyone as really odd, or is it just me? I just think that it's a huge plot point that we're missing, because nobody is talking about it yet it's so incredibly ODD.
I was a little catching tonight's episode...
I agree with Gymfan about
Interesting that
The next episode after the break is called
I did enjoy tonight's episode, but, as kat observed,
