Thanks for that link.
The article does seem to hint at a Narnia/LWW-like adventure; I don't think they'll actually end up in Narnia.
I wonder if it's significant that
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Yayyayyayyay!SpoilerI've read dozens of DW/Narnia crossovers, but didn't think the show would ever actually go there!Edit: Hmm. I just read the article you linked to, and I don't think they
Spoileractually go to Narnia, they're just re-telling LWW. Still exciting, but I was hoping for Aslan/Doctor interaction. I'm pretty sure now that they'll end up using the Doctor as the Aslan character; sacrificing himself for a kid and then coming back to life is definitely something he would do.
I'm interested to see what Moffatt does with the wardrobe concept....but I agree with Ithie I hope they

Yeah, I agree.... I think I spent a good deal of my free time yesterday trying to read between the lines of that article, and it doesn't exactly explicitly say that they are

well, I'm rather new to the Whoniverse, so I can't fully fill out this FAQ thing.
When did you first hear about Doctor Who? Through Whovian friends from a writing curriculum I'm doing. (www.oneyearnovel.com) half the people on that forum for the curriculum are obsessed with Doctor Who.
What was the first episode that you watched? Vincent and the Doctor
Classic Who fan or NuWho fan? I haven't seen any of the classic ones yet, so I guess I'll have to go with new.
Who is your favorite Doctor? I haven't seen very many unfortunatly, the only Doctors I've seen are one episode of 11 and some of 9. So I guess I have to go with 9, but it may change.
Who is your favorite Companion? again, I haven't seen very many, so I'm going to go with Rose.
Who is your favorite Villain? none of the villians in the ones I've seen rally stuck out to me.
What is your favorite episode? umm, probably Vincent and the Doctor, Aliens of London, or World War Three
How excited are you for Series 6? I haven't even finished the 2005 series one, so... IDK. I am curious as to why the Doctor is wearing a cowboy hat, though.
I actually looked at the spoilers in above posts, and now I'm a little more excited for Series 6. Though I still need to go through 1,2, 3, 4, and 5 first. yeah... how do you post a spoiler?

Anyone see Closing Time yet?
Maybe it was just that though, the fact that I missed some of the episode in the middle, but the cybermen just didn't feel as threatening or scary, or anything as their previous episodes. Their whole storyline just felt unbelievable that they haven't commandeered a way to conquer earth yet... Defeating them by the power of love and emotions felt a little overused as well, but reminded me of previous encounters with and the tenth Doctor so I was meh with that
The humor was so funny. "Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All"? The Doctor and Craig getting mistaken as partners?
Amy and Rory appearances! I'm already missing them Somehow I have extreme difficulty picturing the eleventh Doctor without the two of them...
The ending also felt kinda funny with River tacked on at the end. I thought it would have been better to have that bit as a prequel to the finale instead...

I posted here the other day, but didn't fill out the questionnaire, so I figured I'd do that now.
When did you first hear about Doctor Who? Good question... I honestly don't remember for sure. I'm American so I wasn't exposed to it much at all. I started hearing about it mainly over the internet from people from countries where it is popular (probably even NarniaWeb, or maybe NarniaMUCK (if anyone here knows that that is...)). I got curious and looked it up a bit on wikipedia or something, but didn't go any further until around January of 2010, right after the Season 4 Specials had aired. That leads into the next question...
What was the first episode that you watched? I somehow found the episode "Planet of the Dead" on the internet, watched it, and became mesmorized. I then scoured the internet and found a couple more episodes that were recent at the time (Christmas Invasion was one for sure) before finding a site that had almost the entire series, so I started watching from episode one of the revival series.
Classic Who fan or NuWho fan? NuWho fan. I've only seen a few bits and pieces of the classic show. While I'm sure it is great, it would be too daunting (and probably impossible) to watch the whole classic series, and so I've never wanted to explore it much.
Who is your favorite Doctor?Tenth all the way. I love David Tennant's portrayal, and that may be because he was the first Doctor I saw. Matt Smith is my second favorite, but I like Christopher Eccleston as well! They're all great.
Who is your favorite Companion? Rose! Easy win. After that, its hard to rate them, but it probably goes like this for me: Amy, Martha, Rory, River, Donna. Jack is my least favorite. Oh, and if Sally Sparrow had actually been a companion, she could very well have reached the second favorite or even top favorite spot.
Who is your favorite Villain? Um, never really considered this... I guess the Weeping Angels?
What is your favorite episode? I think the Doctor's Daughter. But also Blink, Christmas Invasion, and The Doctor's Wife. and Tooth and Claw.
How excited are you for Series 6? I don't think this applies anymore... but the latest episode I've seen is Night Terrors, so I'm SUPER excited to catch up!!!

Closing Time:
I am confused by the timeline now. This episode takes place over the weekend before the Doctor's death way back at the start of the season. So we're left to assume the Amy and Rory that the Doctor spotted was the post-Christmas special pre-series 6 couple. Yet neither of them knew what the word petrichor meant until they met Idris, several episodes later in their timeline than Amy apparently modeling for Petrichor perfume. So continuity error or did the Doctor drop them off before they left?
Or if they even had Sophie join them this time as the comical opposite of Amy and Rory I would have loved that!
I thought the whole episode an exercise in comical overload....which isn't a bad thing, but it was done better in The Lodger and The Lodger also seemed to flow better as a story.
Plus I still don't like the River part of this whole series....I like River as a mysterious standalone character that is not Rory and Amy's daughter.......
I think this series would have been better if River was not even connected to the Ponds because the way Moffat built it up in 'Time of Angels' and 'Flesh and Stone' it was looking to be much more complex and intriguing than it's turning out to be.........so very sad.
The finale only has the ability to either redeem this season or completely seal that it's been a dud/hackneyed overall this year compared to last.

I'm torn about this episode:
And isn't the Doctor 200 years older than he is now, when he actually dies? Even if the dates match in the current timeline?
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Ok! I've just seen the finale, and I thought I'd dump a lot of random questions and comments here. I wouldn't read this yet if you haven't seen the episode first.
While the Tesserecta (sp) playing a role was definitely a viable resolution that I knew was possible, I have to say, I think I prefer another one that I saw poffered around on the spoiler forums quite a lot. It had to do with the Flesh. Given the significance that their episodes were given, a lot of people thought they had a much larger role to play than just explaining what was wrong with Amy Pond. Since the show writers had taken such pains to make sure that we knew that the Flesh copies were just like the real people, we thought they were involved with the Doctor cheating death. Not that a Flesh Doctor would die, since we've been assured over and over and over again that the Doctor that dies IS THE REAL DOCTOR. No, we thought that, maybe, just maybe, the real Doctor DOES die. And a Flesh Doctor, the one that we've been watching ever since the series split, goes on and takes over. He'd still be THE DOCTOR. He'd even get some extra (or much needed) regenerations from a willing River Song, just to seal the deal. Since we'd already have been watching the "fake" Doctor several episodes before the reveal, we wouldn't mind as much. And the show would go on.
I think it would have been a fitting way to end the series; certainly a lot less complicated then the incredibly random and sometimes ridiculous stuff given to us in the finale. *shrugs* Anyway, the finale wasn't bad, and I am happy that the original Doctor is still kicking and breathing.
I am a little exasperated that the Silence storyline seems determined to carry on over to yet another season. So what if we know what the question is (DOCTOR WHO. Hidden in plain sight. Nice one, writers. ), and we probably know what the answer is (his name; his legacy, etc.). It still doesn't explain why it is so important why it must never be revealed. And why Rory keeps dying (when the Silence mentioned it, I was like YES! Answers! And then Amy shot them all. Not that the Silence killing Rory would have made a lick of difference, because he'd STILL be alive in the original timeline!). And...other questions.
I'm a little weary of the Silence plot line, but on the other hand, all these things had BETTER be resolved in the next season. If they sweep it under the rug and forget about it, I'm going to be so mad. We spent the whole of Series 6 one one plot point, and we STILL don't know why SILENCE WILL FALL!
Overall, I think the first half of the season was much tighter than the second half. Great set up, but not as much of a payoff as I'd hoped. But I can't be too unhappy, because I'm thrilled that the Doctor finally has a missus. And I hope we get random River encounters in the next season, now that we know they are married. Love all the lovey doveyness, haha.
Finale:
So is Madam Kovarian dead?
Interesting to see a more hardcore Amy in this episode. Definitely see where River gets the awesome from, between Amy and Rory. Still facepalming at the incredible stupidity inherent in trying to lock the Silence up.
If anything, the revelation that the question is "Doctor who?" makes the plotline even more confusing. Why would his real name mean anything universe-shaking? What, are we going to find out he's Jesus in addition to Space Gandalf. /sarc
Anyway, I did love the fact that we got to see River and the Doctor get married. I was wondering if they'd pull some kind of offscreen marriage like they did with Ten and Elizabeth I. Interesting thing is, if he didn't tell her his name there, he must have done it at some other point. The River in the library certainly did know.
