AN AXE!!! Just kidding, I'd probably end up dropping that on my foot.
Magic staff all the way, but I'd also love to use a bow and arrow.
My sequel adds to the combo. My opening scene has five people wielding a katana, broadsword, short sword, twin scimitars, and a ball and chain against an army.
I like the person with the katana best ^^

Now what I have had a lot of fun with is putting these weapon styles together to work as a unit. And I'm not done with them yet as the finale is slowly approaching on my sequel.
As for Narnian weapons seen in the movies, my weapon of choice would be the rapiers that Caspian and Miraz wield. Those weapons are good for thrusting and distance slashing. Plus the blades are thin enough that you can disarm an opponent with the same weapon without harming them (by inserting into the guard and twisting the blade out of an opponent's hand). Claymores (which is what Braveheart and Oreius in his final charge against Jadis use) and broadswords (shorter than Claymores, and what Peter and Aragorn use) are simply too common. It's what most movie makers envision with swords (unless they are in a Japanese/Chinese setting, in which case it's a katana) and most novel writer's use. I personally like to mix it up. It gives variety and creativity with fighting styles.

ooh that's hard! I could not pick between the sword or the bow! I chose the bow! I do know how to use it. I have not clue how to use a sword. But I am going to take fencing next month! I'm so exited! I do like swords but they are heavy and you tire quickly.

Fencing weapons aren't as heavy as they appear. A foil is just a pound and an epee is about a pound and a half. What gets heavy is holding it up for a while. Something else that few people realize is that fencing is much more of a leg workout than an arm workout. And of the arms, it uses hand strength more than arm strength. Have fun with it.

I would want a broadsword, in my opinion a that is the most dangerous with the least amount of training.
I said Rapier because I want some type of sword, but a broadsword would be too heavy for me. Anyways, a rapier is totally cool in my eyes! I plan on taking fencing classes some day... For now all I can do is be jealous of people like FencerforJesus!
This is an awsome thread! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks about things like this...

I'd say crossbow, if we're going solely by Narnian weapons. A crossbow like Prunaprismia's might do for me (now, does that go under bow or other?). I'm not strong enough for most of the other weapons, and though I can fence, it does not appeal to me utterly. I'm more of a distance-fighter. A whip would be cool!
Oh, and there's one Narnian weapon you forgot on there; lamppost bar.
This is hard because I'm skilled with both the bow and throwing knives (I actually throw darts, so I think I would be good at throwing knives)

Magic Staff - so potent. I would use it for good and not evil *pinky swears*

Most of us aren't ridiculously strong enough to wield a lamppost bar.
I'm definitely a melee fighter type. I love the use of bows and arrows, but it's not for me to wield.
Another weapon not yet mentioned is the Calormen curved blades. Lewis doesn't really describe them other than curved so it could be either a scimitar or katana. I think he had Arabian scimitars in mind when he described them.
Curved blades required a much closer range fighting style than straight edged blades like rapiers or broadswords. The reason why is because these weapons are for slashing and to get sufficient damage, you need to hit from about the middle of the blade to the tip. With straight blades, you can still slash with the foible (the third of the blade from the middle to the tip), but you can also thrust. And also with rapiers in particular, the fencing lunge is designed so you can maximize attacking distance while being safe, and still be able to recover back to a defendable position. But that also being said, often curved blades involve faster fighting styles because it is simple to disengage from blade contact and make a hit. It's fun stuff to analyze and at least for me, even more to put them to use.

Hmmm! It makes me wonder why people choose bows and swords instead of a magical staff!
Couldn't you just conjure one up with the staff, so you could have both?

I think people like the fighting part the best! When you have a staff you use magic, and most people thing It is so much more fun to have the thrill of using weapons that you have to have skill at. Well maybe not every one, but for me, yes.

Ohhhhhhhh this is such a hard decision! I want them all, haha! But considering I've never even held a broadswords and tried archery once but failed miserably, I'm going to have to go with the magic staff. The possibilities are endless!

I always thought Peter and Aragorn wielded longswords. Does Gandalf use one?
