I happen to be a fencer. But my knowledge and understanding of weapons goes far beyond sport fencing. Not only do I love sword play, I love to mix and match weapon combos. In the book I wrote that is now released (see my siggy), some of the weapon duels I have are short sword (like a gladius) vs a whip, a staff vs the whip, rapier vs spear, rapier and broadsword (two people) against the spear, and more.
My sequel adds to the combo. My opening scene has five people wielding a katana, broadsword, short sword, twin scimitars, and a ball and chain against an army.
So I am the type where if you put a weapon in my hand, I'll find a way to use it. So I would have to pick an option of all of the above if I could. I don't care what weapon it is or what I am against, I'll find a way to make it work.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
Though I have no weapons experience in real life, I've been playing Lord of the Rings Online for almost two years and play the hunter class mainly. Thus I picked the bow. For melee weaponry, I tend to favor daggers and spears over swords and other types of weapons.
Magic Staff because it is magic and anythign that has magic in it has to be awsome.
I picked the broadsword. Lots of other cool options, but I like it the best. Probably I've seen too many movies with sword fights . But come on, Braveheart! Lotr! POTC!
Hmm...if it's Narnian make...(sigh...I wanted an M1 Garand rifle ), then a longsword, preferably with a shield.

Since I already do archery, my weapon of choice would be a bow. I'm not very accurate, but I love to run around and shoot at people

avvie by AslansChild thank you!!!
I am into archery, so I pick the bow. Im not a huge hunter so it is a re-curve. But I really enjoy it. If I was to go into battle Id want that.

I have a love/hate relationship with broad swords, cause they are cool and all but they are also something that stole my brother and though they are really awesome they are not my weapon of choice.....I'll go for throwing knives....I threw knives once in my life and missed the target all three times but after that I fell in love with them.
always be humble and kind
Broadsword all the way. I love all weapons - and frequently use all sorts for different characters in my stories. However, I've always favored the broadsword or longsword for myself and my favorite characters, probably because I've been inspired by characters like Aragorn and William Wallace and such. The sword is classic, iconic, and holds deeper symbolism than most weapons have managed to accrue. So, while I love the variety of weapons and hate to single one out, I'd have to say my own weapon of choice from the list above would be broadsword.

I like the Bow best. It is what I'm most comfortable with.

Ummmm.... Can I pick more than one?
Definitly a broadsword from the Narnian Golden Age, and a bow and arrow similar to Susan's. I wouldn't mind a crossbow to much, but given the choice I'd take the earlier (*needs to look up more on names of bows*) My dad was going to give me a few archery lessons years ago- I don't know what happenned to that idea.
and being the me that I am, if they have them in Narnia, a nice solid metal pole will make a good backup weapon

Bow and sgian-dubh. Not that I have any experience with either... Just toy bows in the backyard and knives in the kitchen!
