The Dark Tower is indeed by Lewis. I have not read it but from what I know of it the story is incomplete and was never finished. From what I read of the plotline (years ago) it appeared to involve a parallel universe of some type. And as W4J says there is the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, who I think used Lewis' incomplete work as an inspiration (to some degree, even if in a small way) in his magnum opus.

What if you traveled back centuries in time to hang out in the middle ages and then got bubonic plague? That would put a damper on the whole trip.
Ha! That it would. And you'd be stuck with the "doctors" they had back then *shudder*
I like the idea of time travel. It sounds cool and interesting. It'd be so fun to do.
I liked Meet the Robinsons which is pretty much the only thing I've ever seen/read about time travel.
I'm currently rewatching Lost before the last season begins in a few months, and was reminded today of how much fun time travel stories can be, if done well.
The episode "Flashes Before Your Eyes" (summary and spoilers here) is probably the earliest big time travel episode in the series and establishes one of the show's "rules" of time travel: "Whatever happened, happened" (a phrase which became an season 5 episode title).
(This rule is the same one that guided time travel in the 1990s Gargoyles - but a main plotline in Lost's most recent season seeks to break this foundational rule).
It's also the earliest occurrence of someone becoming
Interestingly, a character is seen reading A Brief History of Time, a book mentioned in previous posts.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Neat topic. Time Travel. A simple idea which spawns endless possibilities, which can be anything from amazingly fun and interesting to terribly boring and annoying, depending on how it is handled. I've been both envigorated and frustrated by stories that hinge on the same singular idea of Time Travel.
By far the worst time travel movie I've ever seen annoyed me so much that it is currently resting at spot number 3 on my "Why in the world did I watch that?" list: Somewhere in Time. I know I risk offending someone there, as it is apparently beloved by some people, but I just couldn't stand it.
On the other hand, Back to the Future will always be a classic, among other great time-travel stories.

lol (about Santa)
I've never been a huge fan of Time Travel b/c it always ends up that the characters go to some place in history that's sad and depressing or they're trying to stop someone from dying and they know they're gonna die...whatever, it's just annoying to me...
1. Thing I like: it allows people to see different animals that went extict or famous people who died
2. Thing I hate: You couldn't get it to work with out making a timeloop and probably making things worse
3. Where and When I would go: I'd probably go to the mesozoic era because I've always wanted to see a dinosaur. Then again I believe some dinosaurs survived extinction

I would go back to when mum was my age so i can see what people would say about my clothes and also about how similar we look but i would of of course have a different last name.
