Ok, it's OPENING DAY in the world of MLB! The Astros get the spotlight, facing the hated Rangers in the only game tonight. Their new jerseys look great, navy, orange, and white home unis tonight. And the game isn't going poorly either So far it's 7-2 Astros, top of the 7th. If we can hold on, this'll be one huge win! So meany reasons... just go Stros!
EDIT: Astros win 8-2

AROOOOOOO!!!
Ah yes, the return of the 'boys of summer.' Nothing quite like outdoor baseball in the spring.
Except yesterday's season opener for the Twins (in Minneapolis) was among the coldest on record, with wind chills in the 20s. Alas, the Tigers beat the Twins.
But I'm looking forward to attending a few games at Target Field this summer.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
The Cardinals are 11-8 after last night's win. I have only seen parts of three games so far this year. The only game I saw all of was Shelby Miller's first start, that was a great game. What I wouldn't gave to be back in MO and able to watch the Cardinals on FS Midwest.

I believe that Australian television focuses way too much on sport. Half the news segment is dedicated to sport half the time. I am sure there are more important things to talk about than some guys getting sacked from the cricket team for not doing homework. HaI hate AFL I just don't understand the appeal ha.
I didn't know anything about cricket or Australian sports, ILoveFauns, but I love baseball.
My Cardinals are 16-11 after last nights win and on top of the NL Central. They are currently beating the Brewers four to nothing in the top of the 3rd inning. GO CARDS!
The KC Royals got snowed out this afternoon!!! On May 2nd! Wish I was in MO!

The Cardinals beat the Mets 6-3 last night. I got to see part of the game on ESPN, makes me so happy! They are now 24-13 and after tonight hopeful 25-13. They have the best record in the league! Go CARDS!!!

It's been nearly 2 months since my last post here, since then the Cardinals have been 32-22. They are still at the top of the Central and have the best record. I am hoping to watch the Cardinals on FOX tonight and definitely going to watch them on ESPN tomorrow night. Adam Wainwright is pitching tomorrow, I love watch him pitch. He is the best!
Five Cardinals are All-Stars this year: Yadier Molina, Carlos Beltran, Adam Wainwright, Matt Carpenter, and Allen Craig. Molina and Beltran are starters this year, only the best. I think Lance Lynn should have been an All-Star again this year, but obviously he is not.
Sounds like the Cardinals might get Chris Carpenter back this year! And possibly as a starter. Too awesome! Go Cardinals!

If I hear the word agar again I will almost go crazy. Oh the ashes series when nearly all men and some women go crazy about cricket all over Australia and the uk. I just can't get into it.
The regular season baseball is nearly over, who else's favorite team is going to the postseason? The Cardinals are and this year they have the division. Well, they just need to beat the Cubs tonight to secure the division. Which if they don't win, I will be quite surprised. Lance Lynn is pitching, after that rough patch he has rebounded and his last start he pitched really good.
The rookie pitchers have done/are doing amazing job! Michael Wacha's 8 2/3s no-hitter on Tuesday, WOW! I wish I could have have seen that game.

Anybody else follow football around here?
Welcome to the forum, thephfactor1!
I like to follow the NFL, though this early in the season I tend to focus on the MLB playoffs more (especially with the local NFL team off to an 0-3 start, though the Twins aren't in the playoffs either).
Do you have a favorite team or teams? Do you like to attend games or watch them from the comfort of your own home?
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I don't follow the NFL much at all. I follow NCAA football more, but pretty much just one team: the Huskers.
I was actually referring to football. Like, real football, not handegg. I like Bayern Munich, although I don't get a chance to watch as much of their games as I should/wish.
I'm not much of a sports person I have to admit. The Olympic Games are about the only sports I go out of my way to watch.
I do follow my college football (handegg ) team, but I don't usually watch the games unless they just happen to be on where I am.
Handegg. I've not heard that term before. I like it.
