Well contrary to what I expected I recently purchased A Christmas Carol, got it for my new Nook Color (B&N). It cost $0.99. How could I pass it up? (of course, for $2 more you can get the whole Dickens collective works- ebooks).

I've just got done with the first chapter, and I am loving it! I thought that seeing the movie so many times, so many versions, my lessen my liking of the book. But thanks to the 1984 version which I recently saw, it has enhanced my enjoyment. I am reading it as if I was watching it. :x

I'd love to just finish it off tonight, it's not a long book after all, but alas I must be heading out soon. I might pick it up again tonight. :D

I read Christmas Carol a couple of years ago in high school. I enjoyed it, I believe shorty after that I saw a play adaption of it that was very good. I've also read how the Grinch stole Christmas, the Polar Express, and I think Snowman, but I'm not sure.

Every year for Christmas my family goes through our advent book, each night after dinner one kid (we go from youngest to oldest) opens the "door" and read the portion of the christmas story inside. I'm tryign to get a new tradtion started in my family this year. i found this hilarious book called The Thirteen Days of Christmas by Jenny Overton. It follow the twelve days of christmas song, but with some fun twists. Since my family celebrates the 12 days of Christmas I thought I might try and get them to read a chapter a day.

It is in thier "good" characters that novelists make, unaware, the most shocking revelations. C.S. Lewis
