Question, has that giant pillow catching the trains been on the map since the Gnawnian Express area opened up? Most of the time when I travel anymore it's via the app and the app doesn't have that section of the map on there yet. I just noticed it today when I was looking at Digby.
I have only recently looked at that part of the map as well.
But I have seen people comment on it on the forum many weeks ago (mostly comment that it looks silly), so it's possible that it came with the trains

What is everyone's goal for the amount of gold you hope to have by the time Ronza visits?
I hope to have at least 30mil. Right now I have a little over 28mil, and am currently trying (and failing) to farm gold in Furoma. Those darn red boxes.
~Riella
I am currently aiming for 10-15 million gold. It depends on how bored I get of the trains between events.
I don't tend to focus on gold farming usually, and I've been in the LG and Gauntlet so much lately that I haven't really been gaining gold at a significant rate.

My goal is 30 mil before counting in my LG trap ingredients "bank" (an additional 6.5 mil), but we'll. I'm currently at 19.3 so 10mil before Ronza is a bit of a stretch but we'll see, lol!
Saturday 12:56 am - Zugzwang's Tower
I sounded the Hunter's Horn and was successful in the hunt! I caught a 9 oz. Chess Master worth 119,600 points and 19,000 gold. The mouse also dropped the following loot:
1 Master Bindings and 1 Ancient Relic
Yay! My first Chess Master!
I'm currently alternating between the Seasonal Garden and Zugzwang's Tower, trying to finish a library assignment, as well as collecting the materials to craft the Spellbook Base. I'll probably be working on that until the next event starts.
Speaking of events, whenever I think about them, the only thing that enters my mind are these three words:
Horse.
Jade.
Base.
There will be a Horse Jade Base, right? What sort of stats do you think it will have? I've heard the Snake Jade Base was a lot better then the Dragon Jade Base, so do the Annual Jade Bases improve every year?
Last year's Snake Jade Base had such great stats, I've never really had to use any bases except that one since. And since bases are my favorite things to collect in the game, you can imagine how excited I would be to see an even better base than that one.

I've been thinking 20 mil, but 1) it's perhaps too little and 2) I'm at 19 already and see no reason to stop - so I'll just go on doing things that will save up gold rather than cost too much, and see how far I get.
No major purchases outside of events, then. Expensive traps will have to wait. Sandtail Sentinel later, if the 2nd SMB is slow in showing up - but not right now.

Oh, and I made it past my goal of 30mil, by the way. Do you think that that will be enough to get all the traps/bases, and some SB+ to boot? I'm not planning on buying any charms, as far as I know.
~Riella
It might be too soon for a Horse Jade Base...SJB almost outranks the GTB and actually is preferable in most circumstances if you're not using Champ Charms. I don't know if the Devs would put out a base that totally makes the GTB obsolete, especially since the Platinum Tourney base isn't coming anytime soon.
Who knows, though, lol.

Thing is, the Horse Jade Base would be LE, so not everyone will get it. The GTB is not LE, and can be bought by everyone for an unlimited time. And if the champ charms raise the stats, it is still valuable to have for that reason.
~Riella
Yeah, but they tend not to make LE stuff without ingame equivalents that can be acquired in time. Magma is a great base but it was outranked by the GTB and later the SJB. Somehow I don't think the Devs would make a base that was close to Rift that cost 1/10th of the price, even if it is LE.
Most of the stuff has already been posted about on the FB MH page, but I'm posting it here too in case people miss it over there. (Plus it's easier to find again here.)
~Radioactive Blue Cheese is smashable. It turns into Radioactive Curd.
~2 Radioactive Curds + 1 Radioactive Sludge + 1 Ionized Salt = Rancid Radioactive Blue Cheese (This can be purchased on the Marketplace, but I have no idea why anybody would do that if they can craft it. )
~New trap: Scum Scrubber
~New bases: Polluted Base, Washboard Base
~New charms, on the Marketplace: Soap Charm, Polluted Charm, Super Polluted Charm, Extreme Polluted Charm, Ultimate Polluted Charm.
~New collectible: Completed Polluted Theme
~23 new mice in 'The Polluted' category. Weakness: Hydro
~The map has been updated in the Laboratory area.
As far as I can tell, the area hasn't opened for the Archdukes and Archduchesses yet as I looked at the Scoreboard and they're all still hunting in the Warpath area. That kind of surprised me as it's literally been years since they implemented a new area in pieces like this.

RB is smashable; am I right or ammirite? Pretty much nailed that one, lol.
And as far as RRB on the Marketplace, I imagine it's pretty similiar to a lot of other charms (and Maki) being on the Marketplace...some people don't want to travel for ingredients, or will use up all of their RB and won't want to stop and get more, etc. No big deal. Someone on the forum figured out that the minimum value of each piece of RRB is 1450something; based on the cost of Ionized Salt and Brie which you need for the RB Potions. So that's actually pretty expensive for non-ME cheese.
Anyway, in addition to the charm that FK noted, they also come in several levels (I'm assuming same base recipe, different orbs and possibly ME or something similar). The Polluted charm also comes in Super, Extreme and Ultimate. There's also a Soap charm which I assume you use a lot at first for loot drops or somethin'. Not sure yet.

Yeah, after I thought about it, I realized that people who don't have MH friends won't have a crazy stockpile of supplies like I do and they probably don't want to farm potions and then purposefully stale their cheese.
Anyway, in addition to the charm that FK noted...
I have updated my above list. Someone let me know if a crafting recipe is discovered for the basic charms like some people are suspecting. I'm not watching the MH forums that closely though I'm going to go peek at them now.
My little bubs has fallen asleep for a nap so I can post some thoughts. Sorry for the double post but I think a new area justifies it.
So, initial observations. It's hard. Which is good cause it's high level and I don't want a cake walk, but when you're used to catching pretty much everything that comes by your trap, the >50% catch rate takes some getting used to.
Rotten Charms and Super Rotten Charms play an important role in getting Soapy Suds to drop, which are used to craft Soapy Charms. As DiGs mentioned on the FB page, this has caused the price in Flawed Orbs to skyrocket. (If you want to make some gold, that's the thing to sell right now, but I recommend hoarding them for your own personal use. ) Just to show the importance of the Soapy Charm in this area, here are some setup stats...
Phantasmic Oasis Trap (best in game) + Rift Base (best in game) + Ancient Charms
8,844 Power 49 Luck 25% Attraction
POWN + Rift + Soapy Charms
15,221 Power 54 Luck 20% Attraction
Yep... So, my current strategy is to hoard as many Soapy Charms as possible until I figure out how to optimally use them. They're going to be hard enough to come by that I don't want to waste them.
Thus far, I'm not seeing an immediate use for a ton of gold... aside from Flawed Orbs on the Marketplace. So as the catch rate in this area is very low, I would advise spending time outside of this area getting your POWN traps and Rift bases if you don't have them, and the rest of the time farming Flawed Orbs. I know I'm going to be doing treasure maps consistently when I can't get in.
Well, I'm very short on Flawed Orbs, so I'll be farming those in the near future, I suppose. Now I feel I shouldn't have sold all those Super Rotten Charms over the last few years.
I'm still inching toward Duke. I don't think I'll get into the new area before the Counts are let in, but that's okay. I had forgotten how terrible the LG areas are for gold. They're great for leveling, but I've only begun to start gaining gold again from my last batch of cheese, and I've got 5 pieces left.
Anyway, I'm glad that I've at least got the best trap I can going into the new area.
I still need 3 Gur for the Grand Arcanum, and then I can start farming Icuri for Shattering Charms. Won't that be fun?
