I don't know if they would do that, Ithi. . . If they're still tough for the Sphynx Wrath, imagine how tough they are with the Ambush (or worse. . . the MVMT). If they were made more difficult for the benefit of upper level players, lower level players can kiss their hopes and dreams goodbye

Here are some links to spoilers from the new area and today's FBF, mostly pertaining to the Year of the Noble stuff:
Edit: My second link did not work. See Fantasia's link below for that thread.
Edit 2: Oh, and a spoiler about the Lunar New Year event:

Spoilers from today's FBF!
Year of the Noble release part one - Pollution Outbreaks! Dave read the description, if you want to hear it, watch the video. The Laboratory is leaking pollutants into the river (as can be seen on the map) is the short version.
Levels include but not limited to, Count, Duke, Grand Duke, and Archduke. So you will not be able to complete this location until you're Archduke. Michele said Hero to Archduke in the chat, but I don't know if she was joking or not.

This area will release towards the end of the month but before the Heart of the Horse event (not official name ). I think they said it would release by level in stages.
It also sounds like the area is a team effort (as in all of the players, not individual tournament teams) to clean the river, kind of like building the S.S. Huntington III when the Iceburg was releasing, but it's not a one time thing and the Digby filters will keep failing.
Each level of player has specific content to complete, though you can do lower level job content too. Like, I can do content from Grand Duchess on down, but obviously can't do Archduchess.
And in case you missed it before, this is only the first small release in a series of year of the Noble releases.
They also said the next season of Treasure maps comes out soon. Somehow I'm betting this will be the next release because I don't think people will be interested in completing treasure maps once the new polluted area is released.
And finally, I THINK they said that Calamity Carl's Cruise line will be returning for CNY again, but it will be tweaked. Not 100% sure on that, I was wrestling my son away from smashing my keyboard.
Funny when you think that there are only 85 people who are Arch Duke/Duchess, so that area will likely remain a bit of a mystery to most folks unless one or two of those 85 happens to be someone who likes to share and update us peons, haha. They also said the points for the mice in the Arch Duke level are MASSIVE, so with that in mind, maybe they already have the next level after AD primed and ready to go since a few folks have GOT to be getting close?

I think Dave also said something about Hero. The lower level players can only go in after the higher levels have done some of the hardest work, though.

That's probably why there are some small jobs even for the below Count level players to do.

Yes, I'm fairly certain you're right about that!

There may only be 85 people now, but with the increase in points and leveling potential, there won't be 85 people for very long. I had thought about going to LG to try to level, but I realized once I'm in a Grand Duchess area, I'll level up REALLY fast so I may as well make money now.
...maybe they already have the next level after AD primed and ready to go since a few folks have GOT to be getting close?
If by close you mean 7%... No, they have at least one level programmed in if not more. That's been confirmed in the past when people were coming up on Archduke.
Thanks Varna for verifying some of my report!
Oh, I guess I didn't think to check what point level the top ranked player was at. Still, I contest that if an Arch Duke parks himself in the top level and plays consistently, he could make significant progress towards ranking up and we could see a new level within the year.
Wonder what the next level will be titled...if you go by official royal rankings, the only title that outranks a Arch Duke is a Prince. So, maybe the next level is Prince/Princess?
I'm betting that we'll get something like Viceroy or Vizeer (sp?)

Vizier might be a possibility - they would move to a different line of rankings then, I assume.
"O enlightened Vizier," said the Tisroc, "bestow your wisdom upon us concerning this strange proposal."

Oh, something else I just remembered that they mentioned in FBF yesterday, but I'll need Varna or Gymmie to confirm this is correct. I believe they said that a bunch of crafting materials from all over the MH world will be used here, so my crazy stockpile of Splintered Wood may finally come in handy.
I'm crossing my fingers come Monday they release the next round of treasure chests.
ETA: Oh, and I hit 50% Grand Duchess this morning too.

That's the impression I got as well. No particular item was named, but they were vague about something we had a lot of.
And probably more than just one kind of crafting material, too.
Also, I'm back at 17 mil gold, after some hunting in Furoma and on trains. That's the amount I had when I got my first Warpath Victory and bought the Bead and the Crystal. (The Metal that I got is still sitting in my inventory, waiting for its twin.)

Some people thing living shards or limelight will be involved. Me, I wouldn't mind a decent use for meteoric rocks, lol.
That would make a lot of sense for all of the above considering the area is around Digby.
Question, has that giant pillow catching the trains been on the map since the Gnawnian Express area opened up? Most of the time when I travel anymore it's via the app and the app doesn't have that section of the map on there yet. I just noticed it today when I was looking at Digby.
I ended my warpath run without a loot drop

I think the Varmit Valley area is a pretty decent place for leveling as well as gold farming. I've advanced pretty quickly through the last few percentages of Count-to-Duke. I can get as much as .08% on an inactive day. I'm glad I'll be at or close to Duke by the time the new Noble area is released, so that I can get in sooner.
I'm looking forward to the Valentine's/Lunar New Year event. I enjoyed last year's event, and I'm sure they will include some more fun collectibles like they did last year.
