I've now spent a hundred of my OG cheese and caught 25 Sojos - I think that's not so bad
I've got two hundred OG left and will leave those for later.
I also have a hundred Rumble and about a hundred of each of the Masters' cheeses. So I'm well equipped for more Furoma hunting - but it's time for the Zurreal assignment first
For Easter, there will be a lot of new areas available to me. I think I was only a Knight last year. So many new eggs for me to catch - plus any completely new ones they will add ... I'm not particularly well prepared for that.

Re: Gauntlet eggs, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they added a Tier 6 or Tier 7 egg to the mix at some point. I did buy quite a few Tier 3 potions at the Halloween event this year in anticipation... just in case. I'd also be up for a Gauntlet Gladiators tournament if there's interest. The past few they've uploaded have been too late at night, or I've been on a train.
I suspect a lot of the new eggs for this upcoming year will be Varmint Valley eggs, and eggs from the new Noble areas. I'm also anticipating some of the hard mice getting their own eggs at some point. The Garga, Chess Master, and Zurreal are all up for grabs (please... not Balack).
I'm also missing ALL of the Iceberg eggs, so I guess it's in my best interests to get to Icewing's Lair on a good Deep run and then cycle through to the beginning.
That's what I did last year and it worked out perfectly. I have found that if you have the Phantasmic Oasis and a Golden Shield, along with all of the bases, it's not too terribly hard to make it to the the Deep Mouse. The only reason I didn't on my last run was because I messed up and didn't have the Remote Detonator Base armed for a good portion of the Bombing Run.

That's good to know. Do you tend to use Gouda only on those runs? What about Wax/Sticky charms?

If you're doing a Deep run, I say SB+ all the way. You can do it with Gouda, but it's a bit lucky and I don't like to leave the fate of such a long run to chance. And I would use wax/sticky charms where applicable, unless you're willing to shell out for Ancient/Chrome/Champ (which is NOT necessary).
I'd also be up for a Gauntlet Gladiators tournament if there's interest.
Hmm. Yeah Keep me posted. Anything to do with the Gauntlet. Not that I have played many tournaments. If any. I think.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Yeah, I'm totally up for any gauntlet tournies too.

Sorta crossposted with Varna the other morning and didn't get a chance to reply to her post.

I believe that is exactly what the ratio is supposed to be with the Sphynx. Congrats on getting so many Senseis.

Good luck! Have you started? How's it going thus far?

I do actually use Gouda for the vast majority of the run. But if you're going for a Deep Mouse in particular, SB+ is a safer bet. If you haven't seen it before, here's a useful chart to help figure out where you should be in order to snag Mr. Deepy.

I always use Wax in the Tunnels and Sticky in the Bulwark, but after that it kind of depends on how I'm doing. At the moment I'm killing the Bombing Run so I'm using Wax Charms. The above chart recommends using Chrome or Ancient Charms instead. It's kind of up to you.

Oooh, going to have to find a good one to get you involved in your first ever tournament. Are there any times that work better for you?
Are there any times that work better for you?
Any time really is good, excepting when I am off duty. That said, I am on duty far more than off. When at the fire station, time is abundant, but can be spotty once in a while. If not altogether having my life flash in front of me when slipping on some rocks by a 1,000 foot drop

2 out of 3 Warp Nails
3 Runestones (on 3 hunts )
1 Desert Travel Almanac
1 Mesh Netting
It's been smooth going so far
By this rate it should take no more than a week, quite likely a bit less.

Cool! I can't remember what you need from the Lich Mice in Balack's Cove, but that seems to be the most difficult drop for people. I had less trouble with that one (I was about the only one) and more trouble with whatever the centaur mice drop in the Lagoon. Hope you get through quickly!
Well, I finally caught the Living Salt Mouse, and sure enough, it was after I arrived in the Hidden Deeps. Can't believe that took two full runs, but he's off of our map now and that just leaves the Pygmy Wrangler as the hardest mouse left. The rest should be relatively simple.
Well, I've been on Tier 3 for a week and used 400 pieces of my cheese. At this rate, I'll at least be on Tier 4 by the Great Winter Hunt. My potion rate has picked up a bit more *knocks on wood* so I'm going to be pretty well set up in Tier 4, I think. Here's hoping I get there soon, though.
Congrats to everyone on their progress!

Jacob is drawing "Royal" trap skins today for Art FBF. The first one is for the Chrome Monstrobot and is pretty cool looking. I think he's going to aim for a second skin, and perhaps some kind of winter-y journal theme as well. He's not saying if this Royal theme is for the Year of the Nobel or the GWH. He did flash a spoiler of a Royal Journal theme that was pretty snazzy looking.
Personal update, we're down to the Derr Lich Mouse left on the treasure map. So close to finally finishing...
The Centaur left that Almanac without much delay.
The Lich jewel could indeed be troublesome - I don't have much to craft Vengeful Vanilla with ...
I'm in a Varmint Valley tourney at the moment, and MH just crashed for me
But I watched some of FBF, and the Royal trap skin for the Sphynx is a LION!!!
Edit:
I saw your screenshot of it on FB, fk - it's gorgeous
Edit 2:
Only 2 items left of the assignment - the Encyclopedia Gnawnia from the Master Burglar, and the Lich Jewel. I just got the Draconic Book, so I'll stay in Dracano a bit longer and get some Dragon's chests with ingredients for Vengeful Vanilla.

The Lich Jewel gave me many headaches, Varna. I caught a dozen liches before I finally got a jewel to drop
