Well I didn't participate much in the weekend event other than one tournament. ;)) There really isn't much that I need out of it.

I participated in a treasure map that had Balack on it. I think the only mouse that might be more of a pain to catch is the Deep Mouse. It's a toss-up but I probably won't be doing many more maps with Balack in the future. ;))

Helping out with an LG map at the moment. Not too much else going on over here. Anyone else doing anything exciting?

Nope. ;)) My personal life has gotten crazy busy this last month (and will get even busier for the rest of the year) so I'm planning to hunker out in the LG, earn enough Icuri for my GAT and COT, but only craft the GAT. After that, it's saving gold till Ronza comes. I have a bunch of crafted cheese I can use to great effect, I just need time to do it.

What with life being busy and event season coming soon, I don't want to drop all my gold in the LG and not be able to earn it back before Ronza comes.

I'm debating how many Tower runs to do before I go for the Warpath and go after the Kitty. I haven't caught the Chess Master yet, don't have enough Checkmate cheese, and should do some runs just to be able to craft it. And I would also like the Torn pages for the Spellbook Base.

There is of course the question of gold. I've got close to 9 million now (had over 9 mill, but did some shopping) - but more than half of it will go if I don't get the Crystal from the Warmonger.

There are other traps that should come before the Kitty, progression-wise, and I was planning to do things in order - but I don't want to be as low on gold when Ronza comes this time as I was last time (only around 1 mill). So perhaps I should skip some of those other projects (the costly ones) for now, and go straight for the trap that should earn me gold instead.

Other than that, I got roughly 350 UE cheese from the event (plus 4 potions that can be done later). I don't know when best to use them, I'll probably keep them for tourneys or events.

And I was reminded what a good place for gold the Mousoleum is, especially when most of the catches are Zombies and Ravenous Zombies. I even used Wealth Charms on them. I still have more than five thousand Wealth Charms ...

I'm guessing based on the hint they gave yesterday that the new content will be arriving on Monday. So hooray!! Something to do! ;))

And a railroad theme! Several of the mice I've seen Jacob draw fit in nicely, but some do not, so I'll be curious to find out if they all show up with this expansion.

I'm on a map with a Spring mouse so no CSC till Wednesday for me, but I can at least go in and pick up a poster scroll case.

After that, I dunno...I do need to head back to the LG in earnest so I can earn/buy my GAT before event season starts. Then it's gold, gold, gold for me!

I noted on the MH forums that there's been a tweak to the location of some of the mice, I thought I'd post it here so you all are aware for Treasure Maps and Tournaments....

I can confirm that a couple breeds of mice have scurried from the area, leaving little more than faded paw prints behind. Pirate mice can no longer be found in the Meadow, and Black Widow mice can no longer be found in both the Meadow and the Town of Gnawnia. Perhaps this change is for the best, those breeds were often a bit nasty to Novices and Recruits, stealing their bait more often than they're caught.

In addition to the two breeds that have migrated, it would appear other breeds have developed slightly different tastes for bait. Generally, it seems that lower-grade bait attracts less powerful breeds, while higher-grade bait such as Brie, Gouda, and SUPER|brie+ attract more powerful and rewarding breeds of mice. In particular, the Flying mouse, which was once only attracted to SUPER|brie+, can now be rarely encountered using Brie and Gouda. Similarly, in the Town of Gnawnia, the Longtail Mouse can now be attracted using most types of cheese. Finally, the Speedy Mouse appears to have developed a taste for Brie and Gouda Cheese. That said, the Flying, Longtail and Speedy Mouse still seem to enjoy the magical scent of SUPER|brie+ the most.

I shall continue to monitor the situation here in Gnawnia and promptly report any additional discoveries.

Of course the problem is that several people spent real money on SB to catch the Black Widow in these location to fill out their collection and now it's been removed so there are a number of people who are rather unhappy right now... understandably.

At any rate, over the weekend I decided to squeeze in another LG map, which worked out perfectly as my group finished it up this morning. :) Now I'm just sitting around twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the new content.

wolf, how is your Zurreal assignment coming along?

Gymmie, even though I got the GAT second, I wish I had gotten the CP instead. It's a little bit better of an upgrade imho, thanks to King Grub.

I'm on my first Warpath Run, and am on Wave 4. :D

I'm really hoping that either a Sphinx Crystal or Sandblasted Metal will drop so that I can either craft the Sphinx Wrath, or sell the Sandblasted Metal and use the money to buy the Crystal and then craft the Sphinx Wrath.

It would be such a shame if I got the Oasis Bead to drop instead. :-s

Everybody wants the Sphynx Wrath. It's ok Monstrobot, you'll always be my favorite of the three Warpath traps. :x ;))
Ithilwen, at least the Oasis is a useful trap now that the Living Garden has been added to the game. Otherwise it was only good for tournaments. Good luck on Wave 4! :D

Well, someone rightly pointed out on the MH forums that the post about the CSC expansion doesn't mean it's going to be out today, or tomorrow, or even this next week. When they announced CSC on FB, it was about 3 weeks before they released the area. So now I'm torn on what to do. I picked up a Wanted Poster in case I need it (doubtful, but at least it will come in handy for tournaments or something), and now I'm in the Seasonal Garden maxing out my amplifier. /bored :P

You think? I know the Dunes (and therefore my best Shadow Trap) gives me more bang for my buck in terms of essences, BUT I'm also trying to even out my Lunaria and I seem to collect more Lunaria petals than Plumpearl due to sheer catch rate...my Cursed City catch rate is pretty abysmal.

Anyway, that was my reasoning, but who knows! I'm a ways away from crafting either trap so I have time to change my mind.

It's a minor difference and you should do whatever you want. But if I were to go back and do it again, I'd go with the CP first. :)

I'm on another Furoma assignment again - didn't want to be stuck in ZT when the new area opened, but I probably shouldn't avoid ZT for three weeks ... :p

"Catch Mojo with Ambush." I added Ancient charms and got him at first try. No requirement to use Onyx Mallet this time, but now I'm ready in case it should happen again ;)

I was planning to get Reaper's Perch and Spellbook Base before going to FW - I guess Spellbook Base is the most useful for me right now of the two? I guess I should go for more Tower runs after all, when I've finished this Pagoda assignment.

You don't need the Reaper's Perch until you get to the Living Garden so you could always wait to craft it until then...it's not cheap. You could definitely get the blueprints, though.

You might also skip the Reaper's Perch. I know that shastastwin made it through the Garden area with the terrifying spider trap. True. . . he had a rough time, and crafted the Clockwork Portal trap before crafting anything else. . . but it is doable.

Who knows. . . there might be a super awesome shadow trap released for Halloween.

I'll get the RP blueprints, but I guess I won't spend gold on crafting it until I've got the 3 FW traps and see whether I've got any gold left, and what my situation is.
Halloween is something to take into consideration as well - you're right that there may be new releases then.

I've just started on another Mystic King Assignment - I had to smash 9 assignments before I got the Mystic one ... :p I'm going to need two more runs after this to get the Spellbook base, but I should be able to catch the Chessmaster on this run.

Then the CSC expansion may delay the plans, of course.
