What/when is the next event?
And is there any news on what's up next for the Wild West area?
~Riella
Next event will likely be Halloween. It's usually the first up on the docket unless something unique is going on.
Not that I'm aware of Ithilwen.
Congrats Gymmie!
The main reason why I'm asking about the Wild West area is that I'm wondering if I should save my Fool's Gold. I have over 500 right now. It would be a shame to spend it and afterwards find out I'll have to save up for some fancy new weapon or prize. But at the same time, if nothing is coming up, I don't want to be saving for no reason when I could be using it for supplies.

There will be an expansion of some sort as fantasia's seen them drawing mice that have a western flair, but aren't in the game yet. So I would save it if you already have the second trap.
Yeah, I'm gonna ditto everything Kat said. The devs are not doing a Summer Games event this year so the next event (not counting weekend events) will be Halloween.
And yeah, there is more to come in the Wild West area so I'm saving all of my Fool's Gold until they're done releasing stuff because as you said Ithil, I don't want to spend it on goodies and then have them release a new trap or something where I need 2,000 FG.
Currently I am bored out of my mind. My husband, Kat, and I have all been holding onto a Shattering Charm for about four weeks and waiting for the perfect Tail of the Crypts tournament to pop up... so far no luck at all. I found the 'request a tournament' thread on the MH forum, so I will probably do that and hope Michele can get that going for us. It's kind of tying up what I can do in the LG currently. Not to mention I can't go for King Grub cause my salt meter is maxed out in anticipation for King Scarab and Grubbie is the only mouse left on my LG map.
So I've just been in the Warpath farming gold and trap pieces. I actually got an Oasis Bead on my last run through, first trap drop in a while, so I sent it to a non-NWeb friend who still needed it.
I've been looking over my MH plans and goals for the next weeks, and part of them is trying to get 500 Fool's Gold (currently 316). Even with the new trap I'm getting bored with just sitting there (especially without a Poster), so I'll probably do more Iceberg and Tower runs in between.
There are more bases and traps still to get from those runs (and from Library assignments - Reaper's Perch?), and I doubt that I'll have time to finish everything I want to do as a Lady before I become a Baroness (I'm at 91% Lady now).
I think trap pieces will be tempting when I'm allowed onto the Warpath, though ...

If you want to be on posters, I can send you requests. I get them pretty frequently, and have been solving them by myself a lot of the time (except when I'm deputizing for someone else).

I've been away from CSC for a while, but now that I'm back, I'll be happy to join you on posters! There are more interesting mice to catch as well, when we're hunting for crew members. I'll soon be able to bronze some of them

I had 8 pieces of lunaria last night. . . didn't nab a single Twisted Carmine with that. It was very frustrating because I'm one gur essence away from crafting my next shattering charm.
I was planning on going after Shattered Carmine next. . . but I might not now that my stores of lunaria are gone.

It's been forever since I posted in here, but I have a question or am looking for advice.
I moved into the Iceberg recently to get the mice that I don't have which are Icewing and Deep. Is there anything I need to know in order to catch them? Any special set ups? I have very few sticky/wax charms, so I haven't been using them yet. I'm using the Oasis Water Node trap and gouda.
Love God, love people
You will need the traps and bases that they have in that section. The wax/sticky charms as well.
The iceberg is an area with several levels. You hunt according to the different levels. The wiki actually has a really nice page on the Iceberg: http://mhwiki.hitgrab.com/wiki/index.php/Iceberg.
Each time you go from one section of the iceberg to another, you'll face a general. Once you catch him/her, you move on to the next section.
If you fail to catch a mouse, it will shove you back x amount of feet. It varies depending on the mouse. The most a mouse can shove you back is 16 ft.
Fantasia can probably create a more succinct description , but those are some of the highlights.
Icewing - You have to have the Steam Laser Mk. II armed when you reach the Icewing's Lair and you have to catch her with it as well. She will smash it and that will give you the pieces to craft the Mk. III which is superior to the Oasis in the Iceburg. Based on the fact you've already completed one run Ramagut, you should be able to craft the MK. II.
Deep Mouse - You will need the Mk. III and at least four out of the five bases for the area. You have to reach him before your hunt count reaches 250.
Magnet Base for the Tunnels
Spiked Base for the Bulwark
Remote Detonator Base for the Bombing Run
Hearthstone Base for the Mad Depths (Optional)
Deep Freeze Base required to catch the Icewing and unlock the Hidden Depths
You will also need a fully charged drill with all 8 charges, though I think some people have done it with 7 charges (Gymmie?).
Each item will make the Iceburg run less painful. Crafting order is up to you, but I personally did the Remote Detonator Base -> Magnet Base -> MK II. This meant I had to do an extra run to gather more crafting material before unlocking the Icewing, but it was worth it to me because my extra run was a whole lot faster. Most everybody else crafts the MK II first, then the RD Base and Magnet Base. MK III and Spiked Base are after that, then the Hearthstone if you want it, then the Deep Freeze Base is last.
(Note: The reason the Hearthstone is optional is because you can pretty much drill through the whole Mad Depths area with all 8 drill charges. But as it can be difficult or expensive to get those drill charges, I had to make several runs through the Mad Depths without drilling through it. As the MD can kill a run, it was worth it to me to get this base.)
When you finally get all those supplies, here are the ideal target hunt numbers for getting that pesky Deep Mouse.
Have I confused you thoroughly? Questions? Let me know if I or someone else can clarify something.
And now that they double the War Scraps and Bottled Cold Fusion loot for a week, it's even more worth it to go to the Iceberg. I started my third run when I read about the event.
I crafted the Magnet and Remote Detonator bases just before my second run (I got an extra BCF from a treasure map, which made it possible). Then I upgraded to MK II after the four generals, and to MK III after catching Icewing. (And I got the corresponding Drills as well.)
During this run I'll craft the Spiked Base (or perhaps the Hearthstone Base, depending on how much extra BCF I'm able to get).
When I've got all the bases and the Diamond Drill, I guess I'll attempt to go for the Deep Mouse. Getting the bases and drill should take a few more runs, but double BCF loot from the generals should help.

Yeah. . . you couldn't pay me enough to go back to the iceberg . Have fun y'all.
I finally have enough essences to craft another Icuri! Gonna go after shattered carmine at the end of this run. That leaves just one more mouse to nab before I've conquered the living garden

So, four random questions:
1. How much gold do you generally have on average?
2. How much gold do you have right now?
3. How much gold is it good to have when going into event season?
4. How much gold is it best to have when Ronza is coming?
As for me, I generally have about 600,000 gold. But right now, I have 7,400,000. Which is the most I've ever had in my life.
