Varna, I'd say you would be wise to get the MSB, especially if you aren't going to get your Silver Base for a while.
I'm still in the Twisted Garden preparing for the other Twisted areas. We have a LG map, so I'll be farming mice for it once I'm done here. I hope to nab a King Grub this time.
As soon as I have the blueprints, I'll craft my POWN. Then I can (I hope) finish farming for the GA and make a run for the Deep Mouse.

I'm up to 11.5 million in gold. Gold farming is perhaps my least favourite activity in the game, and it's getting very tedious. If ever I needed a loot drop from the warpath it's now. . . getting quite bored doing warpath runs.
I need about 8 million more gold in order to get my Chronster. I'm hoping that I can have my Chronster before summer ends . Then again. . . getting my Chronster just means that it's time to start farming gold for my Clockwork Portal trap (thankfully, I already have the blueprints. . . just need the 5 million+ gold for it ).

I realized I never posted about last week's FBF not that there was a lot to report. Jacob drew two new mice. I think the first was intended to be the "White Mouse" of the area. Kind of a cool cowboy dude with a gun. The second one was the Tumbleweed full of mice. (I have to admit that the latter didn't turn out quite as cool as I hoped it would, but ah well.) So there was last week.
This week was the official FBF. There were a few tidbits of info... mainly that the Rift Base will not be required for the upcoming Wild West area, but they did sort of let slip that it may or may not be required for the next area that has Rift gear. Hmmm...
They also said the new area would be coming out "soon." (And they, like Aslan, often call all times "Soon." ) But I would guess we'll see it before the end of June. I sure hope so anyways.
There were some other things they talked about but for the most part it was technical stuff that I don't care to repeat.
On my own personal progress... I am up to 8.3mil gold. So I am ready to craft the Rift Base at a moment's notice, and once I see what's going on in the new area, I may go ahead and do that. Instead, I'm dividing my time between the Warpath (gold) and the LG (crafting the last three charms and a treasure map).
Have any of you snagged one of Larry's gifts off of FB? I got one piece of SB so far.
Me too. Yay for free SB+!
Currently working my way through my 4th Warpath run, the goal being able to net enough Flameshards to allow me to rebuild the Charm Shoppe in the Muridae Market. Then I'll start another Warpath run and start working on rebuilding the Cartographer...I have a few Artisan charms and will be able to buy any more that I need, so hopefully it shouldn't take too long. Then it's off to the Living Garden for me...woot woot! I have a little gold stash so hopefully I will be able to build my POT without too much gold farming in between, but we shall see.

Has MH been down? Is it going up and down all the time? Or is my connection just too slow right now, giving me frequent time-outs?
I've got that message regularly over the last two days. I log on, I sound the horn and read a few forum pages, then I sound the horn again or try to look at the inbox, and I get that message. I've tried it both with and without Facebook.
I've finally farmed all the scrap metal for the MSB, but I need to buy the Tiny Platinum Bars, and I haven't been able to travel out of the Catacombs. Just as well I didn't try to join any tourney. But Cats isn't the worst place to get stuck.
Edit:
Well, it seems to be back to normal now
Edit 2:
Only for one night

Currently working on gold farming again. My current goal is to run through my rumble and then maybe switch to onyx. I'm going after the gold to craft the Grand Arcaneum trap. I've got 5 more tiny platinum bars to get and then the crystal. So probably another 3 mill to go.
I'm doing my first run of Zugzwang's Tower. I'm currently hunting the Mystic Queen at 100% amp, so I think I'm not doing too badly. (But I've also caught 8 Technic Pawns and a Technic Knight, which isn't ideal ...)
I used the Mystic Pawn Pincher with WBWT and Gouda first, and then changed to ZFM with MSB and SB+, and some different charms.
My first Bishop gave me the Crystal Library Card, so that's where I'll go next and do some assignments. Even if I should fail this run, that Card alone is worth all the effort (and there have been lots of points and a decent amount of gold as well).
I'll also go back to the Iceberg to see whether my second chest will be smashed - I had 6 feet left of the Mad Depths when things started going wrong, and I'm now much further back and not at all sure I can make it on time. But the third chest should be ok.
With all the talk about power being more important than luck in ZT, I deliberately let my Lucky Golden Shield expire before I went in. My last task was hunting a Lich (for a map) and an Acolyte (for its box), and I think the lack of luck was noticable (although I got the Acolyte in the end, and also my first Chrono!). I'm not really able to say whether it stops me from catching the wrong mice in the Tower - the Small Sample Size Syndrome would be in action there.
I'll renew my Shield before going to the Library.

That is, without a doubt, the best first tower run I've ever heard of Varna. . . . . it's a bit frustrating to those of us failing runs.
Heck, you might even be able to make it a double run!

How do you do a double run if it automatically takes you back when you catch a king?
~Riella
You need Checkmate cheese to do a double run, which Varna won't have with it being her first run. Sounds like bittersweet beginners luck...I know that one of my fastest Iceburg runs was done with Gouda BEFORE I crafted the DFB, Hearthstone and Spiked base, so I wasn't able to get a Deep. Whaa. Sometimes you just get lucky!
If anyone accomplished anything cool (and it looks like a few of you did) during the week I was gone, congrats! All I did was hang out in Wave 3 of the Warpath with Wealth charms armed.
Doesn't look like I missed anything while I was gone. I was half-expecting the new area would be released, but that was not the case. I did go and peek in briefly on the Art FBF I missed last week and Jacob drew a rather hilarious trap and another mouse loading a shotgun. I've lost track of how many we're up to now.
Otherwise, nothing to report here, just working on treasure maps and farming gold.
Who got another sandblasted metal? ME!!!!!!! It's currently on the market for 13.2 million, which is about 500K cheaper than the cheapest. I'm hoping that it sells quickly, because that means I'll get my CHRONSTER!!!!!
There will also be enough gold leftover to get my Clockwork Portal trap (maybe).

That's good news, Digs!
If I were anywhere near buying my own, I'd go to the Marketplace and buy it off you, but there are many points to get and titles to obtain (not to mention more gold to farm and traps to buy) before I'm ready.
If I had had any Checkmate cheese, I think I would have tried for a double run at that amp value. Let's hope I can have similar luck again later ...
I only got one chest from my first Iceberg run, though.
But I got another Bottled Cold Fusion from the Treasure map we just finished! So that's one step closer to crafting the next base - or updating the trap.

Got the third trap of the living garden! Now... on to gold farming for those pesky charms.
I sold my SBM, got enough money for my Chronster and my Clockwork Portal. Boo-yah
Down to 250K gold, but I'm doing well in the warpath (can definitely tell a difference with this Chronster!).
Need to finish some more garden runs to get more essences. Now that I've got all three traps, it's time to get all of the boss mice.
