I'm hoping that if the new area is released soon, it won't require much gold up front. I have enough gold to buy my POWN, and once I finish up another good LG run I should have all the essences I need.
Currently, I am in the Warpath finishing up our 3-day tourney. I am at 13-0--7-15-10 in Wave 2.

As I suspected, we sadly didn't place in that Warpath tourny, but lesson learned, next time we'll try for lots of little ones when everyone can be online at the same time. The nice thing about it though, I made lots of gold. I am now up to 7.1mil.
So I watched Mobile FBF today, and while it doesn't affect any of us (likely), they demoed the new intro to the MH app game. Man.... I'm so jealous. If you want to see it, you can watch it here and it starts about 25:00 in (just a little past halfway on the video). It's pretty cool. There's music and animation and so on and so forth...
There was one teeny tiny spoiler as you catch a glimpse of a yet-to-be-revealed trap, but I got the impression from the entire FBF that it'll be a lowbie trap rather than a snazzy new high level trap.
No mention of any kind of surprise on Monday, and I think Jacob may be drawing something next week.

I'll definitely be a lot more cautious about going into the longer ones again - at least until I get higher level traps. I've only done one 2 days tourney before this one, and I had forgotten how tiring and frustrating it can be. And double tokens isn't such fun when it's 2x zero - in both the 2 days and the 4 hours. But I've found that I quite like the 4 hours tourneys.
My nicest thing about it was that hunting Masters for 2 days gave me lots of points - and with going deeper into the Iceberg afterwards, I now have reached the points level for the ZFM and have crafted it. Perhaps I should go back to the Masters with a better trap?
I still miss the Spring and the Summer Shards of the Tower Key, and I'm only into the Bombing Run of the Iceberg - only 2 Generals and 2 Cold Fusions so far. Currrently I'm at JoD, trying to farm Fire Salt, because I want another go at the Dragon. Lots of red boxes, even with the Spider trap. And I just joined a new treasure map - one with no mice that I cannot reach, which I guess is a first (or near enough).

Well, it's been a preeeeeeety good last two days for me in MH. I finished my third Warpath run and my Warmonger dropped another Sphynx Crystal. That COMPLETELY changed everything because selling it on the Marketplace meant that not only could I afford to finish crafting my Monstrobot, but I could afford to craft my Reaper's Perch as well!
So now I have two new shiny traps and I'm pretty chuffed about it. I've started another Warpath run and I can see the difference between the ERB and Monstro already...I lurve my new trap.
Of course, now that I've managed to get the three Warpath traps this soon, I'm deciding what I want to work on next. Obviously the Living Garden awaits, but I know full and well that that place is a gold drain and I don't have enough gold to really put a dent in the POT trap, let alone any of the others. Plus I've spent VERY little time in the Muridae Market, so I couldn't unlock the Cartographer even if I wanted to.
So, I think I'm going to split my time between a few things.
A. More Warpath runs, to earn gold. Now that I have my Monstro, it won't be so painful.
B. Hunt, hunt, hunt in the Muridae Market! I'll be working on the Charm Shoppe first, and then the Cartographer.
C. Hunt around Gnawnia and use up all that crafted cheese I have. I've got quite a bit of different cheese amassed from different stuff, and there's still quite a few holes in my mice collection. I still need to catch a Shelder, Pygmy Wranger and Balack, among other things, plus it would be good to work on some more silver crowns since I still haven't caught a Crown Collector either.
So, I'm on the lookout for any of those weird/random tournies like Lich Lookouts, SSI, Tribal Isles, Dragon Hunting, Forgotten, MM...whatever rocks your boat! It would be nice to do some of the more "lower level" tourneys after spending a lot of time on Lady+ tournaments, it seems.
Well, I am gearing up for a Twisted LG run (just trying to get into the TG at this point). Here's hoping I farm enough Lunaria for a few TCs. If I get at least 3 Gur out of this run, I'll be able to (most likely) craft my POWN.
We're also doing another long Warpath tourney. I should be in a better points-earning place this time, since I'm almost through Wave 2.

We're also doing another long Warpath tourney.
I think we will easily take top 50%. Hope so anyways as we're in position after getting up this morning.
After this tourny I think I may go hit up Z's Tower and clear the mice off of our treasure map from there. Or at least try to since there's a Technic King and a Mystic Rook. I've done that successfully before but sometimes luck is against you and you have to do two runs. But it gives me another shot at Z's Left Sock. Someday sock, someday.
I finished my warpath run. . . no loot drop again I guess I can't complain as I've got all the traps and merely wanted to "get rich quick" so to speak .
Decided to go ahead and start wave 1 again. Will probably head over to Furoma when I get bored.

I'm almost towards the end of my current run through the Living Garden areas. I've been working on the supplies I gained through the easter event. If I can pick up another 3 Twisted Carmines and they all drop Gur essences, I'll have enough to craft the last of the trap blueprints. I got an icuri crafted last night when I went on a random crafting spree.
I've got 6 pieces of luneria and I need about 3 more plumepearl herbs to craft another 6 pieces. I've got 19 pieces of graveblossom thanks to hunting in the Twisted Garden with Luneria. So we'll see where I end up. Also, due to loot drops, I already have another 127 pieces of dewthief and 29 duskshade petals. So I'm well on my way to being able to pick up the rest of the essences I need for the trap blueprints one way or the other.
Once I get there, I'm going to take off out of the garden areas and go gold farm. I've got 3 umbral capacitors towards one of the two traps and Only about 2.2 mil in gold. So I'll be farming gold for awhile. I'm leaning towards bouncing between furoma, the catacombs, the warpath, and the gauntlet.
Edit: I got seriously lucky. I got it! I now have the blueprints for the two LG traps I don't have. Now to farm gold. A lot of gold.
Edit: I crafted the shadow trap. I was about 300K away from having what I needed for that, so I did craft that one once I sold a trap skin. The Arcane trap will take me awhile.
I have caught half of the mice on our current trap - I guess I should leave some for the other hunters as well
I caught a Dwarf Mouse and a Brown Mouse with my new trap - the Mouse Hot Tub.
It's a beginners' trap at 600 gold - but it's quite cute

I might use it again for White mice and other easy Treasure map challenges
I've finally covered all the season key shards in Seasonal Garden and crafted the Tower Key. I'm not ready for a Tower run yet, I need to study the mechanisms more, and I'm not ready right now to stay put in the Tower for the time that I'll need - but my amplifier is full.
Anf if power is more important than luck in the tower, would then the Monolith Base be a good idea? Need I catch more BBBs, hoping for the Base?
I'm also working my way down the Iceberg for the first time. So far it's been fun - but I've only had two encounters with the Generals. Still a long way to go, and more crafting materials to be picked up (in a Slushy tourney, if possible ...).
I tend to stay for a while, and when I can't monitor my progress for a while, I go somewhere else (and get tied up with other projects ).
Some of my main current projects:
- bronze the Fetid Swamp Mouse (last of the group of 6 JoD mice)
- get scrap metal at Catacombs
- play at the King's Gauntlet
- catch the BBB again
- finish my first Iceberg run
- prepare for my first Tower run
... and then do more about the Iceberg and Zugzwang's Tower later on.

Quick note on the Tower; ATTRACTION is king in the tower; luck next, and then Power (but power over luck when your amp is low). Otherwise, attraction, attraction, attraction. The Tower is a great excuse/reason to use SB+, or go with Gouda/Valentines or Attraction charms. Monolith base is fairly useless in the grand scheme of things. I mean, if you got it, I suppose it could come in handy at some point, but I have NEVER been in a situation where I was like, "oh, I wish I had a Monolith base!"
The Tower is also pretty hands-on so I usually only do runs when I have one full day that I don't have to work and can check every other horn or so. You can disarm your cheese when you're not on the computer in order to not accidentally ruin your run with bad hunts, but I try not to do that unless I have to.
Anyway, there's not a whole lot to prepare for the Tower. Just pick a day that you can keep an eye on your horn all day and go for it. Start with WBwT/whatever Pawn Pincher you want to use and go from there. If you have to leave your computer and you're at a point where you need to change setups (after Pawns and when you're hunting the Queen), just disarm your cheese and resume when you get back.
Sorry, that was a run-on and I really should be in bed. As you were.
It's not often that I full on disagree, but I am here. You've got that backwards Gymmie. Luck is completely worthless in the Tower, it is Power you want to max out as much as possible. Why? Because the amplifier only affects Power between 100%-175% so powerful trap setups get a very significant boost. Once you drop below 100%, both luck and power are negatively affected.
Zugzwang's First Move, the Molten Shrapnel Base, and a charm with high attraction is the best setup after clearing the Pawns.
One other note that Gymmie didn't mention (in case you haven't already read elsewhere), you cannot leave ZT once you start a run or your amplifier will be reset. So make sure you go in with all the cheese, charms, and crafting materials that you'll need.
Cool on the new baby trap Varna I saw a picture of it a couple weeks ago during Mobile FBF but that hadn't released it into the game yet and didn't say what it was.
Very little to report on my end. I'm just doing treasure maps, speaking of which I'm on a doozy right now. It has both the Aether and Assassin on it. If it hadn't been my last one (and Arduous) I would have smashed it, but oh well. It's rare so there should be loads of goodness.
I've been doing some reading on ZT, and some say that in certain situations luck can be directly harmful - if you're going for a King with Checkmate cheese, high luck could make you catch the Chessmaster first, causing your run to fail.
The reason I suggested Monolith Base, is that it has high power and no luck - but farming the last 36 Scrap Metal in Catacombs for the Molten Shrapnel Base is probably a more worthwhile project than hunting for the BBB in the off chance that he might drop the base. I crafted the ZFM a little while ago, and I've bought both Pinchers. There are some specialty traps, too, but as I need another 16 mill points to use them, there's no rush buying them.
If there were "test runs" for the Tower, I would be playing in it already, just like I do in the Iceberg. I may have discussed this with Gymmie in chats already, so that she knows that I know that I need time for the whole run before I start. And, yes, anything I may need of cheese and crafting materials. There are no shops, again unlike the Iceberg - everything must be right there in your backpack.
Attraction is important for the amplifier, right? FTAs will affect it - and so will catches - while FTCs won't hurt it.
The MSB is my first project, then. At Catacombs - if that is indeed the best place for Scrap Metal? Gives more mice for our treasure map, too, and decent amounts of gold.

Well, I guess you learn something new every day. None of the guides I read ever emphasized power over luck, but then again I didn't read a whole ton of them. I only know what's worked for me and I haven't failed a run yet, so...
I have all the supplies I need for the MSB; I just have held off crafting it because of all the Tiny Platinum bars. Dunno if I will still bother or not.
Gymmie, if you already have your Golden Tournament Base, I wouldn't bother crafting the MSB unless you're a trap/base collector.

If she's anything like me, we're currently gold collectors rather than item collectors
I may perhaps need the MSB, though? I haven't even got the Silver Tournament Base, I have about half of the tokens I need for it.
