We've opened a Living Garden map and gotten started on it. Thankfully there were no boss mice on there, but there is a good mix of mice from all levels of the area.

I've decided to hold onto 62 pieces of duskshade. My plan is to use them when I'm going after the Twisted Carmine. I've also got a full round of red and yellow dewdrops ready to pour out. This way, if I run out of dewdrop hunts, while hunting for the TC, then I can just switch, refill, and go again.

With the 177 pieces of Graveblossom from the easter event, I have a bit over 400 pieces of graveblossom total. I'm hunting in the Sand Crypts when I'm offline for awhile and then switching to the Cursed City when I'm home.

On the gold farming front I am up to 4.6mil gold. Less than 3mil more to go to my Rift Base. We're gearing up for a Warpath tourny that starts tonight so I may go spend some time in Furoma to do some gold farming there... just to take a break from the Warpath for a few hours.

Well, I'm sure by now most people have noticed the tournament update...

~Captaincy can now be transferred to other team members
~teams now have customizable Team Emblems
~more team member slots have been added
~your Team Profile now publicly showcases your tournament awards and has a private cork board
~teams can be "opened up" to accept anyone who wishes to join
~team members can sign up for multiple tournaments in a row
~and new tournaments have been added for the Living Garden and other areas!

So I was very busy yesterday doing all sorts of tournament type stuff. Got a team logo created (you guys will have to let me know if you like it or not, I'm totally up for changing it ).
I promptly unlocked all of the new team member slots (that'll be nice not to have to switch people in and out so much). I thought about doing the "open join" thing, but I'm FB friends with a few MHers I don't know very well and so I think I'll leave it closed most of the time and only open it up if I'm going to be offline and can't run things. Plus only one or two people don't fit on my team now anyways.

Love the new LG tournaments (finally!!!) and the names are hilarious. I was wondering though if they should have saved the reference to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly for when their new Wild West area comes out.
The only real disappointment I have is that you still can't join back to back tournaments. I thought for sure they had fixed that when they were talking about signing up for three tournaments, but no...
(I was also kind of bummed they didn't update anything in the tournament hall, but that's not as big of a deal. )

In other news, Jacob drew a Card Shark Mouse yesterday. It was supposed to be the Mobile FBF, but I guess Dave and Georgio were busy with the tournament patch, so Jacob took over. I have a sneaking suspicion that the only thing holding up the new area is the artwork and some beta testing. The programmers seem to have lots of time on their hands to work on other stuff right now.

On a personal note, I am up to 5.7mil gold and I've been spending most of my time working on treasure hunts and doing tournaments so gold farming has slowed down a bit. But I'm not in THAT big of a hurry to get the Rift Base and I'd rather have fun playing. Gold farming gets rather boring and tedious after a while.

Somehow, our team took 3rd place in last night's catacombs tournie. I really don't know how either. I went AFK for about an hour, some of us forgot to switch over to the right setup, and none of us got a huge streak of vampires/gorgons (I only caught two vampires throughout the entire tournament). Oh well. . . can't complain. I was hoping that we'd take 2nd though. . . that's the one trophy I don't have as of yet.

Catacombs competitions are good for gold farming, to be sure! I'm approaching 9 million in gold right now, which means that I'm approximately half way to my goal of ~18 million. I've been crafting a lot of charms and putting them up on the marketplace to help boost my income. A loot drop from a warmonger would really help speed up the process.

Our team is also close to finishing up a map. I'm set up in the Town to nab a few of the wimp mice on here (mainly a diamond and a white), and after that, we're doing a furoma tournie today (always good for gold farming ). Depending on how many good tournies are being held tomorrow, I might take a break from tournies to do a tower run, so that I can nab another mouse or two from our map.

Rebekah was raking in the Golem and Vampire Mice. Probably if everyone had been online the whole time we would have taken first or second. And yeah, that's how I felt about the Whisker Woods tournament we took first in. I was completely offline for the first hour or so and somehow we pulled it off. Perhaps the hardcore tourny groups are not playing right now and just the casual ones are? Or maybe we're getting really lucky?

Anywho, I just snagged the Iceblade and have headed to the Shoreline to get the Living Ice and Polar Bear. I know stwin was working on getting his amplifier up in the SG when he wasn't doing a tourny with us and the Rook and Bishop are the last two that will take some time to get.

My amplifier is almost full, Fantasia. I can nab one of the two sometime tomorrow (probably). If it could coincide with a Zugzwang's tournie, that would be awesome.

I've not done a tower run in ages. I'll do a technic run. My amp has been maxed out for awhile.

Unless you have extremely poor luck, whoever goes for the Z's Tower mice should easily be able to get both if them in one run.

I silvered my MOJO. . . that's a nice feeling! At 27,300 gold each, that means I've collected almost 3 million gold just from these guys .

I'm up to 9.4 million, and on track to be at 10 million sometime this week.

Is anybody else excited about the doubled tournie tokens this week? I've got 186 tournament tokens right now, so I'll get my gold base sometime this week as well!!!!!!

I'm on my second Tower Run. I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow so that I can build those two new traps.

After my Tower Run is over, I would really like to join any Tournaments you guys are in, that are available for my level. I want to save up for my Silver and Gold Tournie Bases; and considering I currently only have 1 Tournament Token right now... it'll take awhile.

@Ithil, what two new traps are you talking about? If you're referring to the Obvious Ambush and Blackstone Pass, they can be skipped unless you want to collect them. The Zugzwang's First Move works just as well imho.

A very cool bonus provided by the devs. Congrats ahead of time on that GTB! I don't know if I'll be able to sneak in on a tournament this week or not. And that's fine. I already have my GTB and since the introduction of Ancient Charms, I don't spend tokens very often on Champion Charms anymore. So I'll be available as an extra this week if needed. I'm most interested in Warpath and LG tournaments myself.

Looking to do another tournie before this bonus week is over! I've gotta get that gold base soon!

I don't think our group will place either unless we can get all of us on at the same time and rally and I very much doubt that will happen. Ah well, that's ok, there are other tournaments and I'm sure they'll have double token rewards again.

So I've been strategizing with my husband regarding the Rift Base. After chatting with him about it, I've decided not to buy it. I know right? My fear is that I'll get it and completely wipe out my gold supply right before the new area comes out and then I won't be able to progress without a whole ton of gold. So I'm going to keep on farming gold for now and be ready to buy it on short notice if needed. It's not that much of an upgrade anyways.

Also, Riella said she saw something about a surprise on Monday on the MH forums. Has anyone else seen anything about this?

I don't even know if I'm allowed to complain, but my team missed out on top 25% by 75 points in that same Furoma tourney. That one hurt.

Anyway, at least I got to use up a good chunk of my Master cheese! I've got almost 200 Rumble again and still have a good bit of Master cheese left. Working on my 3rd Warmonger at the moment so hopefully between that and the Rumble I should be getting my Monstro VERY soon.
