Just saw on FB that the event has now been extended until the 22nd. Bring on the gold!
I only need about 13 million gold. . . that's all
This must include the Rift Base? *assumes so*
I haven't really thought about how much I need. I'm just taking one thing at a time. I have the gold for my next Shatterting Charm, but that's it. So I'm guesstimating I have about 9mil more to go? But once the event is over and I'm not so focused on egg gathering, I can focus on gold.
Back to farming the lower three levels again and work on my charge eggs where all the goodness is. Admittedly I cannot wait til the event ends and I can finally go after the LG areas with reckless abandon. As you will be able to see shortly I've been stockpiling cheese. Currently I have...
107 Dewthief Cheese
345 Duskshade Cheese
31 Graveblossom Cheese
24 Lunaria Cheese
In terms of essence I have one Fel and one Hix so I'm a little over a third of the way to my next big, bad, boss mouse. I haven't decided which one to go for next. Probably King Scarab, he seems maybe a little less frustrating. The Dark Magi requires all three curses be banished and I seem to have a hard time not constantly attracting Corrupt Mice.
But the biggest thing I've gotten out of this event hands down is SB+. I currently have 685 pieces. I've never had so much SB+ before in my life.
..................
As I was typing all of this down (slowly, over a period of several hours, go parenting ) I suddenly realized that I ought to take advantage of another aspect of the event. I had forgotten that they are including a bonus +5 luck for the remainder of the event due to the game being down for a day. And so I'm wondering if I really push, if I can catch enough Twisted Carmines to craft another Shattering Charm I might be able to take advantage of that extra luck to catch the next boss mouse. Yeah... I think I'm gonna go for it.
This must include the Rift Base? *assumes so*
No. . . it's for the Chronster upgrade
Member of Ye Olde NarniaWeb
Oh, duh, you said that previously.
Well, I've snagged 3 T. Carmines, 3 more to go.... (Or two if one of them drops a Fel essence.)
I am loving the Charge Eggs! They boost my gold so much!
I'm farming LG Eggs and crafting supplies. I'm up to 128 Dewthief, 8 Duskshade, 30 Graveblossom, and 4 Lunaria cheese. I have 1 Fel, 1 Gur, and small amount of Aleth, Ber, and Cynd essences. I'm hoping this next big LG run will push me over the edge to craft my next trap (minus the gold). Anyway, things are looking up.
I've found 56 of the Eggs. I'll probably leave the remainder for next year, though I may take one last stab at one or two of them.

I wish I'd gotten onto these charge eggs more quickly. I've made almost 2 million gold in the past week. That's just incredible! I should definitely break the three-million mark before the event is over, which is pretty good.
Making very slow progress through wave two of the warpath right now, primarily due to the fact that I'm not using any warpath charms. Currently at 27-25-24-32-16. We'll see how things go. A Sandblasted Metal drop at the end of this run would mean that I'd have enough gold for my Chronster upgrade. . . after which I'll still be farming gold for the Clockwork Portal
It's all about the money, isn't it
Member of Ye Olde NarniaWeb
Mmmm... money. And I'm back to square one in that regard.
Well, I ended up getting 5/6 Carmines, but while farming more Lunaria cheese, I got enough essence to convert up to my final Gur (and therefore my Icuri).
I was debating on whether to go for the Dark Magi or King Scarab first, stwin said I should go for King Scarab, so that's what I did. Snagged King Scarab last night, so I just have one mouse left to go. And as an fyi, King Scarab is the ONLY mouse you can attract with a Shattering Charm in the Sand Crypts. He hurts if you don't catch him . Got him on my fifth try.
Back in the Cursed City farming Herbs and charging my eggscavator again. Not sure what my priority should be at this point. Should I keep doing the charged eggs to focus on more SB and gold? Or should I keep going after TCs with the boost of luck to get as close to that Icuri essence as possible? Kind of in a holding pattern at the moment, though I should probably decide soon.
I did get enough to get my POWN crafted. I am almost back up to where I was when I started farming eggs (not counting gold) when it comes to essences. I've caught 4 or 5 TCs since the event started.
Current essence count: 3, 1, 0, 2, 2, 0, 2, 1, 0.
Actually I think I'm in a slightly better position as I had 1, 1, and 1 of the fel, gur, and hix and now I have 2 gur. I'm out of duskshade (not dew thief or grave blossom), but as I'm way light on gold, I'm going to set up in the Living Garden with gouda and likely stay put until I'm going to be back on a computer for several hours.
Now that the Eggscavator will be automatically recharged every 4 hours during the weekend, it's possible to plan the charge cycling differently.
It has been suggested on the fora to use a 20-17-20-17-20-12 cycle. This assumes that all hunts are catches, though, so you should adjust your cycle if you have FTAs or FTCs.
You will still need some Charge charms, and need the MMs for them which you get in the 17-12 area. But you save all the charms that would have been needed to take you from 12 up to 20 - that's recharged for free!
If you only do trap checks, you're hardly out of the 17-20 area at all. And if you don't mind the Low Charge Eggs (with Gouda instead of SB+ or MM, and different Orbs), you can just use the Eggstra charms. Then there would be no need for Charge charms at all ...
You know the Timer that shows you when the Forbidden Grove closes and opens?
There has been added a timer to show how long it is till the next recharge will take place, too. Very useful.
My personal MH news:
I finally caught a BBB and got the BBB egg!
I'm now up at 45 eggs, and I'm currently hunting for the Assassin and the Assassin egg. I still need
Assassin
Chrono
Cook
Crown Collector
Eclipse
I have passed 28 mill points and am less than a mill away from access to my Spider trap
The Egg Scoreboards are taken down, but I've got somewhere around 300 each of High Charge and Medium Charge Eggs, and just over 50 Low Charge Eggs.
I'm now up at 5.7 mill gold, which means that I've made about 8 mill altogether

And if you don't mind the Low Charge Eggs (with Gouda instead of SB+ or MM, and different Orbs), you can just use the Eggstra charms. Then there would be no need for Charge charms at all ...
I think that's where I'm at myself. If I'm in an area that doesn't require charms, I'll toss on the Eggstra Charms, but otherwise, I'll take advantage of the freebies. Currently working on getting enough stuff to take on another large round of Twisted Carmine mice.
Congrats on your BBB Varna!
Almost up 3.2 million right now! Pity this event can't go on for another three months or so
EDIT: Well. . . I did have 3.2 million, but I dropped 200K on gouda. . . oh well. . . I needed it desperately

I still need
Assassin
Chrono
Cook
Crown Collector
Eclipse
The Cook is down. I've given up on the Chrono, after chasing him for quite a while, and I don't expect the Crown Collector to be interested in my poor collection with 0 Gold crowns and only 14 Silver.
Currently I'm doing another Gauntlet run. When I either catch the Eclipse or run out of potions, I'll go to Dojo and hunt for the Assassin until the end of the event.
That's Monday morning, the announcement says! Less than two days from now!
The Egg Scoreboards are up again, although they lost the numbers from before the DDoS attack. But I had checked just before that and was at about 204 High Charge Eggs, so with the current 172, that's getting close to 4 mill gold from those eggs only (plus another 2 mill from the Medium Charge Eggs)
It was only possible because of the extra recompense week ...
And I'm less than 300K points away from my Spider.
I also had to spend some gold on Gouda, DiGs, and on special cheeses from crafting and potions. An accurate book-keeping of gains and losses would probably show more gross income from catches. But I wouldn't have fun doing MH book-keeping, so I don't do it - I reckon that any net losses are what I pay for the entertainment value.
With all the Eggs, I have a lot more cheeses and crafting materials now. I'll have great fun traveling around spending them when the Egg Hunt is over.
I'll even try to use some of my 5,180 wealth charms

I managed to snag another three Twisted Carmines with enough bonus essence to get one Hix and one Gur. That's as far as I'm gonna get while the event is going on, so close, but not quite enough to finish up the LG area. But even so, I'm working my way through my stockpile of several hundred Duskshade, so unless I have very poor luck after this, I should be able to snag enough TCs to get the last Icuri Essence I need for the Dark Magi. And then it's gold farming for the Rift Base.
Another Easter event has come and gone. What did the newer players who hadn't done the Easter Event before think? It was a little different this year with the eggscavator charging being a big component.
Sadly I didn't keep track of how much stuff I had before the event started and the DoS attack messed up the scoreboards. But I do know one thing... I now have over 750SB. The most I've ever had by far. And it got me the Clockwork Portal Trap, the Shattered Carmine and King Scarab mice, and most of the way towards the Dark Magi a good deal more quickly than if I had been playing at regular speed.
I'm very close to the Dark Magi. I have enough gold now, and I'm only 2 Gur away from the Shattering Charm. After that, it'll be gold farming, treasure hunts, and tournaments while working towards the Rift Base.
Well, I earned enough gold to pay my debt for my Sphynx Crystal, and I'm up to over 300 SB+, an amount I haven't seen in quite a long time, if ever.
I'm up to 2 Fel and 1 Gur, along with some Aleth, Ber, and Cynd Essences. I've been stockpiling later Garden cheeses as much as I can, so we'll see how this next run goes. I'm going to finish up using my Dewthief and then go for as long a run as I can manage. The various Eggs in this area really helped to boost my run.
I'm hoping to at least craft the blueprints for the Phantasmic Oasis trap soon. I'll be farming gold for a while, though.

Five weeks ago you advised me to get the CoT (at 2,7 mill gold) as soon as I could afford it, rather than buy the Gorgon straight away, and I agreed with you, seeing that I needed something until I would have access at my Spider trap (which needed another 10 mill points).
It's funny reading now my comment from then,
I also think 2.7 mill gold will take less time than 10 mill points.
It did. But while I was expecting several weeks for the gold and several months for the points, it only took a week of charge cycling to get that gold, and with me going into harder areas, the points only took one month.
I made over 9 mill gold during the event, and between 6 and 6,5 mill of those came from Charge Eggs (about 400 of each of High and Medium, and about 50 Low). I'm up at 29,5 mill points, and I have 168 MM cheese, 194 Eggstra charms, 92 Charge charms, and 5,417 wealth charms ...
It's been such fun!
I like going all over the place to do different things.
I've been to new areas, got and used new traps, caught some of the greatest mice for my level, and got 47 of the 50 eggs that were available for me as a Knight (I'm 93 % now). There are things I want to go back and do in more depth (I really like Dragon hunting), and I've learnt some more of what preparations to make for the next Egg Hunt.
Next year I want to get an Eclipse Egg
