I am now pretty much in position for any difficult Iceburg eggs that they throw our way here in another couple weeks. I stopped at 1588ft, just shy of the Mad Depths, on hunt 187. I'm in good shape for the Icewing and Deep Mice. :)

I'd been debating on where I wanted to settle while the game is down for a few hours and I opted for the Sand Crypts. I've only got 30 pieces of Graveblossom left and then I'll be ready to use up another stash of Lunaria. :) I'm very close to being able to craft the Clockwork blueprints, but a LONG ways away from being able to afford the trap. ;))

So does anyone want to guess what eggs they might add this year? I know last year they were pretty stunned at the amount of people (including myself! :D ) that got all of the eggs in the egg hunt last year, so I'm expecting some nasty ones this year. Here's the list from last year for those who are curious about it.
If the three big boss mice in the LG are given eggs I won't be able to get those, but I'm trying to prep and plan for any others. Here are my predictions...

~Tiny Egg
~Ninja Egg
~Gauntlet Tier 6 Egg
~Fairy or Goldleaf Egg
~Nugget Egg
~Mojo or Sensei Egg
~Skeleton Egg
~Chrono Egg
~Shelder Egg
~Chessmaster Egg
~Living Ice Egg
~Slushy Shoreline Egg
~Iceburg Egg
~Icewing Egg
~General Drheller Egg
~Deep Egg
~GargantuaEgg
~Living Garden Egg
~Lost City Egg
~Sand Dunes Egg
~Twisted Carmine Egg
~King Grub Egg
~Essence Collector Egg

Well, I'm not very prepared for Egg hunting, but for the most part I'm not set on collecting all of them (at least not in one year). I hope they won't reset our Eggscavators. :-s

I'm still in Wave 3. 12-11-27-31-16-16. I seem to catch Commanders and miss Caravan Guards in waves so that the effect on the mice numbers evens out. Having a day blocked from hunting didn't help my gold farming, but that's okay.

We have five mice left on our current map, and I haven't been very good about making it a priority. Oh well.

I can see them adding some of those eggs, FK, but I hope they don't add all of them. That would give me fits if there were that many eggs to find. I do hope they will make the event interesting, though. Maybe have an egg-finding competition or something.

I haven't given all that much thought to preparing for the egg hunt - I guess I should have spent more time collecting potions and items for crafting, and made sure I had lots of different cheeses lying around.

There may still be time for some of the easier ones ...

Whew, took me a couple days to get in here and report that I have completed my last blueprint for the Clockwork Portal Trap! :D Once I have enough gold to craft it, it'll be onto farming more gold and essences for the three boss mice. :D

You know, it suddenly hit me the other day that after the Egg Hunt event is over, that's the end of event season, and what comes after that? New content! :-o For the first time in several years, I'm not ready! LOL I'm wondering how they're going to handle it because they planned the LG to take a long time and I haven't spotted anyone on the forums or the scoreboard that has completed the LG areas (not that I've really been looking). So I'm wondering how they're going to approach putting in new stuff as they base it on where the majority of players are at in the game. Maybe instead of new areas they'll do other things like treasure hunts? Or perhaps finally update things like the Library assignments? Or maybe they'll add new areas after all to keep people from getting bored? Looking forward to it either way. :D

I also noticed a small update to the gifting system once it came back up. You can now claim 20 gifts a day instead of 10. Yay! :D

Coming up on the end of a two day Warpath tourny. I think we'll place in the top 50% without too much trouble, but this has not been the best tournaments for me personally. Hopefully I'll be able to pull out some points in the last few hours. :)

Only for a few days, unfortunately :( - they said it's just to compensate for the gifting system being down during the server upgrade and even a bit longer. To help us catch up with the gift queue, mostly ...

But let's enjoy it while it's there, before it goes back to normal!

New content - will it always be "at the top", as it were? As in, something to do after Living Gardens? Or do they sometimes add something more alongside one of the lower levels as well? I guess that wouldn't be anything to be necessary for the progress, as that is decided upon already - or isn't that the way things work?

*sits in Catacombs, farms gold, waits for a Monster mouse for a treasure map, and hopes for some Living Shards to be dropped for more Limelight cheese*

Oh, well, phooey on that then. :P Thanks Varna, I had missed their announcement saying that. I see it now on their FB page.

New content - no, it is not always at the top. Treasure hunts and Rereleased tournaments are examples of that. And they'll also release new mice in the lower level areas, like the Goldleaf Mouse. But for the past several years that I've been playing, the big new areas are either at the top (Warpath, Muridae Market, Living Garden), or very near the top (Crystal Library, Iceburg). The reason being that the top level players finish up an area and then sit around twiddling their/our thumbs for a long time.
I know I'm very biased when I say this, but I absolutely feel like the next handful of new areas need to be rank Count and up. I was just showing my sister that on the overall scoreboard at least 37,500 players are rank Count or higher. The current highest ranking area in the game is Baron level. And there just isn't a need for entire lower level areas because there aren't really places where you sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting to move on, at least not for a long time.
Ideally, they'll do things like they did with the Iceburg where they have an event leading up to the opening where players of all level can participate. There were four mice released throughout all areas of the game that people could catch and they dropped War Scraps so you could start farming those long before you reached the Slushy Shoreline.

/personal brag. I just noticed when looking at the scoreboard again that I am now in the top 500 players of the game. :D

I see - new content isn't always new areas, it can also be new activities. And some of those can span many levels, like the treasure maps.

It makes sense that new areas should be at or close to the top.
At my level I have plenty to do for at least another couple of years before I reach the current top.

But 37,500 bored players is no good for the game ...
Granted, some of them do some undertakings of their own, like silvering the Eclipse, as someone did the other day (being the first to do so, as far as I understand).
But most of them will want new content from the devs.

Congrats on being in the top 500!

That Iceburg event sounds fun! Let's hope they repeat that for some new area some day.

Back to looking over my cheese inventory - and waiting for that Monster mouse ...

Congrats on being in the top 500!

Thank you :) It probably won't last too long as I've moved back to the Living Garden again and there aren't as many points to be had here as in the Warpath, but I'm still proud of myself (and slightly concerned at the amount I play to get there :)) ).

Back to looking over my cheese inventory - and waiting for that Monster mouse ...

Oh yeah, I meant to mention this in my previous post, but if the Monster Mouse is the only reason you're in the Catacombs, he's much easier to attract and catch in the Lab. Best physical trap, nice powerful base and charm, and Radioactive Blue cheese. Doesn't take too long. :)

Well, as I mentioned above, I'm back in the LG again. I've pretty much cleared all of wave 3 with only have a handful of Cavalry mice left. I wanted to leave the Warmonger just in case there's a Warmonger Egg.
As far as the LG is concerned, I'm in good shape for a potential Twisted Carmine Egg, but I'm NOT in good shape for a potential King Grub Egg. So the LG is probably where I will remain for the rest of the week, or whenever the Egg Hunt event begins. :)

The other reason is gold :p

But I feel like a break from the Cats gold farming anyway, so I'll nip over to the Labs to get him. Had a suspicion that that's where we were hunting for him in a tourney a while ago. Thanks for the reminder :)

After checking my cheese inventory, I found that I'm not doing too badly. I have decent amounts of cheese for most of the places I'm able to go to. And those where I don't have the cheese, I wouldn't have the traps for anyway :( I don't have hundreds of cheese, but what I find to be decent amounts.

The main exception is the King's Gauntlet, and there have been several different eggs there before, so maybe that's where I ought to spend the time until the Spring Egg Hunt ... ;)

Here's a question for everybody... Where did you all get your largest quantity of Divine Orbs? I think I got most of mine from the mice in the Lagoon, but honestly, I've never paid close attention. I'd like to get some more for crafting the Living Gardens charms.

I think I got quite a few doing Mojo/Sojo runs in Furoma recently. Before that, probably the Lagoon. :)

I am currently making a run through the garden area working on getting duskshade ingredients. I'm not sure if I'm going to go back and pick up more dewthief or pop over to another area or go on to try and get graveblossom.

Any suggestions?

I guess I need to know how many pieces of cheese you have and what your goals are before I can advise you.

To have a variety of cheeses for the easter event. (current goal at the moment)

Edit: I had a thought... think I'm heading back to the gauntlet and try and get some tier 8 cheese.

I'm doing decently for stuff for Easter. I am currently getting myself 100ft out of the Mad Depths, and then I'll go back to the Warpath and try and put a dent in W3. I'm not going to be able to get a Deep or Zurreal egg if there are one, and I'm nowhere near any Gauntlet eggs, lol. But I have a decent shot at the rest.

Itching to get my Kitty crafted...I don't suppose anyone would want to loan me a mil or so so I could get it crafted before Easter? I'd be able to pay it back ASAP because I'd go straight to Furoma and I have tons of Rumble. :p Anyhoo...
