Congrats Ithil! Both on your defeating the Robot and your BBB catch Yeah, the Monolith Base has been there since the BBB was released, but as it's not that great, nobody ever talks about it. It's just there to collect.
Well, I just defeated the robot myself and am after a Silver Crown on the Mojo. Two more to go. And then the Warpath!
I finished defeating the robot overnight, but got a chance to watch the animation this morning. Pretty neat.
I'm using up my Rockforth Cheese in the hopes of catching another Rockstar or two. Then I will start spending and recouping my gold.

I arrived in the Warpath late last night after a dismal showing in the Pinnacle Chamber (blegh). Silly me, I kept my Sphynx armed upon arrival but despite that I still got a streak of six scouts and a commander. I then armed my Chromstro, got my token FTC out of the way on the first hunt and have not had a single FTC since. Lots of FTAs but no FTCs. I like this thing.
Finally got all the parts... now I just need 10 boss mice, yes?

So, as you might have seen, I caught my first BBB. And I got the Monolith base.
And after a quick Furoma run (which didn't really accomplish anything), I have two main goals right now.
One, to collect the traps and bases I haven't gotten yet. Whether they're necessary or not, I really want to collect all the non-LE traps and bases which are in the game.
And my second goal, which I am working on now... to crown both Nerg and Derr tribes (Bronze for the rare ones you catch on Cape Clawed, Silver for the other three boss tribe mice, and gold for the other 8 mice of each tribe).

I don't think I've had a base drop, but then I have them all from last year. Except the 2013 one I mean.
Then you wouldn't get them. You can't get two of them, apparently.
I have defeated the robot.
Now I'm in Digby, trying to catch a Big Bad Burroughs Mouse, since I haven't caught one of those yet. I recently heard they drop the Monolith Base? I hadn't heard that before.
~Riella
I saw that you got one!
I caught the BBB a while back, but he didn't drop me a Monolith Base ...
I haven't got the Nugget, though
But I got the Chocolate Cake Base!
The only thing I still want to do in the event, is to catch the Rockstar mouse. He's not easy, though ...

I haven't got the Nugget either. If there's a Digby Tournament you guys are going to do anytime soon, let me know. I'm on from about 10AM--Midnight Pacific Time pretty much every day. I have 125 Limelight Cheese, and 30 Mining Charms that should come in handy.
I think I have all the Birthday bases. I bought one of them last year, and the rest I got from drops this year.

Good luck! Does that include the old style trap-skin traps too? Like the Clockapult of Winter Time for example.

Very ambitious, and good luck again! I'm guessing by the time you've silvered the Chieftains, the other six mice you attract with Shell/Stone/Gumbo will have a gold crown. I suspect that by the time you finish with this goal, it will get you more than enough gold to fund your first goal.
Just about done with Wave 2 in the Warpath and then it's on to Wave 3. We've got a tourny starting in the middle of the night that runs for 24 hours so hopefully we'll get some tokens in addition to collecting gold.
It'll be my first Warpath tourney so we'll see how it goes. I've still got a bit to go on Wave 3 but we'll see how it goes! I do have to go to work halfway through so it might make things interesting.
W3: 27-34-0-47-20-10 First run, so loot forthcoming!
I bronzed the Grandfather Mouse! That means both of the Tribal boss mice found in Cape Clawed are bronzed, and I can move back to the main Nerg location. (I'm focused only on Derr and Nerg right now. I'm saving Elub for another time.)
I don't have that much Gumbo, and since I'd like to have more before attempting to silver the Nerg tribal leaders, I'm going to farm some more gold for supplies, using Gouda cheese. If nothing else, that will at least get me a little closer to Gold-ing the lesser Nerg mice, while I farm gold. (I have tons of Savoury Vegetables, but I ran out of Coconut Milk to craft it with; and after Ronza, I'm too poor to buy much more of it. )
EDIT: I forgot to answer FK's question!
Does that include the old style trap-skin traps too? Like the Clockapult of Winter Time for example.
I try to buy trap-skins whenever I see them available during events, and if I have enough gold to buy them. I don't know much about old ones... Are they especially hard to buy?
Skins are separate from traps, though, right? It doesn't change anything except the way it looks? I saw the section for Trap-skins collections was separate from the actual trap collection section on profiles.
~Riella
Yeah, the old school trap skins were applied by smashing the trap and then rebuilding it with a blueprint. It was a completely separate trap and you couldn't undo it once you had built it.
I think some of those blueprints you can buy in the King's Arms, while all of them are available on the Marketplace.
*confirms everything FK says...
Caught my second chrono mouse I'm probably gonna hit the forbidden grave again soon though, and later, when I can make horn calls, the warpath

Well the honeymoon with my Chromstro came to an abrupt end. It's back to normal hunting life for me in the Warpath. In fact, I learned during our tournament (in which we did very well) that new motherhood + tournaments + maxing out Warpath points does not add up very well. I couldn't seem to get the right trap setup and I ended up wasting a lot of SB and Super Warpath charms. I SHOULD finish up another Warpath run today provided things go well.
I also discovered that new motherhood is the reason that my time stamp still has not reset correctly. I play MH in the middle of the night to stay awake when I'm up feeding my little guy, and apparently you have to go offline for a certain amount of time in order for it to reset. Well I don't care that much about it being an hour off. It'll reset eventually.
Extra luck weekend this weekend for St. Patty's Day. Plus a few extra Leprechauns have been released into the game. I plan on sticking it out in the Warpath with my Chromstro since that's my best setup unless I hear about a higher attraction elsewhere. Maybe this will be my year! At the very least, they're back in the game again after being left out for over two years.
I've decided on my shopping list for Ronza. I'm gonna get 24 Super Salt, a handful of the Grubling Bonanza charms and a handful of the Safeguard charms. Getting the Clockwork Portal is a higher priority for me right now so I will be saving the rest of my gold for that.
Ooooh, as I was typing this post, they stuck in a Lucky Liker Charm Pack for being a fan of MH. That's cool.
I just passed 19 mil points and hunted with the T-Rex in the Event area just because I could
I have given up catching the Rockstar Mouse (the only thing I haven't done in the Event yet). Collecting the Rockwell cheese is rather slow, with all the action figures I get instead - and the batches of Rockwell I have had, have all been spent without giving me the mouse.
Traps and charms are what I've bought from Ronza - I wasn't aware of the Mining Charms, and since the Digby Dirt Dwellers is one of my favorite groups, I stocked up of those, for fun. And for tournaments ...
I also got some Tarnished Charms - partly as an investment. What makes them, and the Chrome Charms that you get for them, so sought after on the Marketplace?
Back to Derr - I've used the new trap and got twice the amount of Delicious Stones, and I'm now up at 40 Crunchy cheese. Let's hope the extra Event Luck will keep the red boxes away - and right now I'm even more interested in the gold than in the pepper seeds.
I reckon I still need the Gorgon Trap? The T-Rex won't be ideal in JoD, will it?
(avi artwork by Henning Janssen)
Varna, it shouldn't take you too long to build up 3 million points, which is what I think you need to us the spider trap. I might go slow, get the points and go into the JOD and kick some mouse kiester , because as you said, the T-Rex won't work in there.
I ended wave 2 with a streak of 9 of Sand Cavalry mice. Pity that didn't come earlier, or I could have obliterated Wave 2. Hoping to get a streak of 6 in wave 3 to strike an early blow to these guys.
