I'm watching Jacob in Art FBF this morning. It's become pretty obvious that they're still not done with the Living Garden. Jacob was close-lipped about what is still to come, but the charms (?) he's drawing appear to be upgrades of the current Grub Salt and Blue and Red Sponge charms.
I'm assuming this is why we still don't have LG tournaments.

I've been pondering the next event which will be MH's fifth birthday party. I'm hoping they have something big and awesome planned. That also means I've been playing this game for almost five years. Oy...

Well I thought I was done with the Cruise, but my husband got another day off from being snowed in so we're going to do the Valentine's Couples tournament that starts here in a few hours. He's at the Z's Tower part of the cruise and I'm almost there myself, so we're in pretty good shape for the start of it I think. Hopefully we'll do well.

After that, I'll be heading back to the Twisted Garden to use up the rest of my Duskshade, and then onto the Cursed City to test out my Arcanum Trap.

Got a Gold Trophy on our tournament above.

Wrapped up my third and final cruise tonight, spent all but two of my Bux on ULC and amplifier charms and then headed back to the LG areas.

So on the Arcanum trap, it's just like the POWN. It increases catch rates significantly in the Lost City, but just does ok in the Cursed City. I'm not seeing a huge improvement there, but maybe I'm just having my typical new trap woes.

I have successfully caught a King Grub mouse!

I have four Lunaria cheese so far, and 7 more Lunaria petals. I have 147 Graveblossom left, and about 42 of those are what's left of what I've mentally allocated to hunting in the Sand Crypts. I may use more cheese here than in the Cursed City, since I had a better time there than in the SC last time. If all goes well, I'll be able to catch another King Grub before heading to the City.

I had the best run through the Twisted Garden with Lunaria this morning that I've had since my first venture there. I caught three Twisted Carmine Mice. Between the three Gur she dropped and the bonus Fel, I'm now up to two Hix Essences. Now I just need three more Gur and a Fel and the last trap will be mine! And then it'll be onto Shattered Carmine, Dark Magi, and King Scarab mice... and the Rift Base.

I am going to assume that since there's apparently still more to come in the Living Garden, that the entire Riftwalker set will be collected here? Boy, it's gonna be a big area then cause I think there are an addition four pieces besides the Rift Base.

I got a total of 108 pieces of graveblossom in this run. Hopefully that will equate to two (or three? or twenty?) Twisted Carmines.

I unlocked the Labaratory (which I currently love), as well as the Town of Digby, and the Mountain (which opened up while I was on the Cruise). So I now have three places to explore, and in addition to that, I'm currently hunting in the Harbour to get the Gnarled Tree map piece. So much to choose from! I feel like I'm at the point in the game where things are just getting interesting.

Goodness, you hang onto those low-level essences. You could easily convert up to get at least one or two Gur Essences. I tend to hang onto 40As and 40Bs and then 10 or so Cs and that's it.

I see you got at least one now. I don't usually get the Petals off of the mice, I get them off of King Grub.

Yep, I remember when I started unlocking more areas and especially when I got to potions, that's when the game started getting fun for me. And you're about to the point where you can get different trap types too. Have you crafted the Dehydration Base? I don't know how that compares to the Fan and Jade Bases, so there may not be much point anymore.

So I'm trying to decide how I feel about the tweaks to the gift system. I like the ideas behind them, but considering I usually send out gifts before I receive them, it's kind of a hassle to accept them now. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Ah, yes, I agree. Potions are so much fun!

Yeah, Gymmie advised me to craft the Dehydration Base, but then realized that the Jade Base was way more powerful, so I didn't end up making it. I have all the supplies, so I think I'll still craft it, just in case I need it later and so I can get a hang of this crafting thing.

Looks like we're going to take 4th in a Tribal Isle Tourney. Not bad. Especially considering we were up against teams with the top shadow traps in the game.

I'm going to go to the iceberg overnight I think. I'm on a map and we have a couple of mice in the iceberg from there. I'm not where I can make a run at the deep mouse anyways, so I might as well finish out this run and restart. I'll figure out where I will go hunt tomorrow in the morning. Probably will go set up in the garden I guess.

So the new dino trap that they were drawing IS going to be Forgotten. Eeeeeek. Please let it be Ronza and not LG; I'd like to be able to own it sometime in this lifetime!

Well then I hope that they introduce a new "forgotten" area soon. Right now there are only three places to even use a forgotten trap: Balack's Cove, Tier 8 of the Gauntlet and the Acolyte Realm.

They posted a full version of the trap on their FB page and while not said outright, Forgotten is heavily, heavily implied.

And yes, while there may not be a whole lot of places to use a Forgotten trap, I think we can all agree that the places that DO use it could definitely do with a little power upgrade. Oh, the Acolytes I could catch! *wistful*

By the way, I wanted to share a resource with people. It's been around a long, long time so some of you may already use it, and I'm kicking myself that I've never looked into it before now... It's Horntracker.com. I know a lot of us used Furoma.com to figure out the best trap setups and things like that, but it hasn't been updated for probably well over a year now. This is a good alternative site. (And for all I know, it could have been where furoma got their data from.) And then if you want to, you can install the horntracker app on your FF or Chrome browsers and help contribute data, but I'm not that dedicated myself.

Moving on to my own personal progress. There's not a whole lot to report. I'm trying to complete another LG run before the MH birthday party starts up, but I'm only in the Sand Dunes and I have to hit up the Lost City after this so I have a ways to go.
I'm helping my husband out with another treasure map overnight in order to farm SB, Ancient Charms, and maybe finally get that stupid collectible to drop.
