Ah, okay. So that's what it's for. I'm currently an Initiate, and I haven't reached the part where crafting's available, I don't think. So, I'll just keep it on hand until I can craft. And yes, not having to manually make cheese stale definitely sounds like a plus.
Thanks so much, Gymmie! You're awesome.
And speaking of Mousehunt, I am suddenly reminded that I haven't hit the horn very much today. Off to do that now.
P.S. - after logging onto MH, I was greeted by the news that I'd caught my 10th Longtail mouse, and received a Bronze Crown. So that's my piece of MH-related news for the day. I clicked the option to share power charms as well. I'm not sure how awesome of a thing that is, but there you have it.

I think charms will start to come into play when you're a Journeyman, Mountie. Whatever ranking you require to enter the Mountain area. They're basically "add-ons" for your trap, increasing anything from luck, attraction, staleness, freshness, power, etc....
They become much more critical in later areas, but I got a LONG way in the game before they were ever even introduced, and did just fine without them.
I'm getting close to my goal of 100 Duskshade, although I probably won't quite make it, and I'm tired of farming Dewthief . I've currently got enough for 70 pieces, which could be a lot more if I used super brie to buy it. Still have 15 pieces of Dewthief, so if I could get up to 85ish of each petal, I'd be very content.
At any rate, I'll be back in the Twisted realm by this evening, and will probably spend the next day or two farming Graveblossom petals (unless the event kicks off. . . as I expect it so to do)

Well I wrapped up my Warpath run and I did make some gold back, as well as an ULC and a few UPC. But I got rocked at the end... I had one Warden left and kept attracting the Warmonger. Eeesh... Anyways, I'm back in the Living Garden now where I will remain until the start of the Chinese New Year/Valentines day event. (With the exception of working on our treasure map.)
We're making slow but steady progress on it with overnight hunting. It's going to require two runs (or a double run) through ZT, though.
I want to do a Tower run this weekend so you can count on me for at least the Technic King.
I had planned on heading to the SG overnight tonight to work on getting my amplifier maxed out, as well as picking up the Icicle Mouse. If another run is needed, I can do it.
22 pieces of luneria and not a single twisted carmine catch.
Ugh...
Taking a break from the living gardens for a bit. Probably until after the chinese new year/valentines event.
Kat. . . . . that's just tragic! I usually go in with 4 pieces, and nab one. I'm sorry

Kat. Yeah, loads of MH sympathy from me too. I'll quit complaining about grabbing one out of 12 cheese.
So Jacob just dropped an interesting tidbit on his FB fanpage.
Make sure to tune into tomorrow's MH live painting, where the current content that I'm supposed to be working on is so epic and awesome that I cannot possibly draw it live in front of you. Don't worry, we'll figure out something to draw together!
Intriguing...
Very intriguing indeed, Fantasia. . .
I've turned 90 pieces of Duskshade into 60 Graveblossom petals. I'll probably due some Super Brie conversions, so I'll have a good bit of Graveblossom cheese with which to hunt over the weekend.

Somewhere in Balack's cove a wolf is starting to get worried...
Let me put in this way... I've been here for over 36 hours after the riptide, no charms equipped and I haven't left yet... ie no riptide...
This place is supposed to have an 18 hr 40 min cycle... my only logical conclusion is I must have FTA'd during the high tide... I don't even see the word riptide in my journal
Of all the mice to have problems catching...

So, I've more or less had awesome luck today. I went into the Twisted Garden with 10 pieces of Lunaria. I've used 9 so far, and have gotten 4 Twisted Carmines. I figured out the trick. . . If you pour you dewdrops while building up graveblossom petals, you can carry over the power boost to Twisted Carmine. For 8 of the past 9 hunts, I've been enjoying a 5% power boost and 5 bonus luck. . . in addition to ultimate luck charms. My setup had over 9000 power and 65 luck. . . no wonder I did so well
Either way, I'm now the owner of the Grand Arcanum Trap. Just one more trap to go!
Also got a hefty supply of dewthief petals and duskshade petals, so I'll go straight into the Lost City to farm Dreamfluff herbs, and hopefully have another run to do this week.

You're a little late to the party on this one. I've been doing that for a while and believe it or not, Kat did the same thing for part of her 0/22 run. Neither of us had that kind of catch rate. The conclusion I come to is that the game just loves you right now. Congrats on your trap!!
ETA: Just about done with as much of the map as I'm going to participate in. Just the Technic King and the Iceblade Mice to go. As soon as I snag another Chess Master, I'll be in the LG until the event starts. Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year so it may be a very short trip to the LG.
I'm banking on Monday. Hopefully we can get the Iceblade before then but either way, it shouldn't take TOO long. And we can always take a break for the Event and then come back for night hunting. I'm going to the Iceberg after this Tower run and even though I'm nowhere near the Iceblade, I can at least put a dent in it.
Hah! I finally got the riptide! headed to the Seasonal Garden to work on map/task... I love how I always start these maps thinking I'm not making them my top priority, but might as well catch what's on the way and then somehow... I go specifically hunting the mice on the map... I don't know, I must love a good treasure hunt I guess

I know, I know! I keep telling myself that I ought to be working on the Living Garden area, getting the last trap I don't have yet and then catching the three boss mice of the area and getting the Rift Base, but I love the treasure hunts and it's a nice break from the monotony of farming petals, herbs, and essences. For me personally, working on treasure hunts overnight is perfect.
Treasure hunts are nice in their own way, but I get so deep into new areas and new content that I don't want to do anything else .

I love the treasure hunts - so far I prefer them to tournaments.
I usually take a break in whatever else I'm doing, make a list of what mice are suitable for my level, and of what locations to find them in - and make a priority list of where to go when
So if I'm a treasure map machine, there's my machinery
Other than that I've been farming in various areas, gold for the events and points for my Rhinobot. I just went back to the Nerg Plains. Only another 1.3 mil points to go now ...
