Hope everybody has gotten everything they wanted as the event ends tomorrow. :) I liked this one, so thumbs up to the devs.

After some initial birthing pains with the POWN trap (loads of FTCs X( ) it started working quite well. I don't have statistics to look at specifically, but it feels like both catch rates and drop rates have increased, more so in the LG than the TG, but I'll take what I can get. ;) Working on farming essences for the next two traps... I have a ways to go to get there, but what else am I going to do in the meantime?

A few brief mentions...
~Congrats to Varna on her BBB mouse! :D
~Congrats to ceppault on his Zurreal mouse and Reaper's Perch trap! :D
~And if I missed somebody doing something really awesome, congrats to you as well!

I really like the Digby Dirt Dwellers - almost as much as I like the Forest Guild - and before the event I had 8 out of 11 of them.
Bronzing them would be a nice thing to do, and I thought it would be worth using the extra luck of the Gifting Trap to do it now, and perhaps be able to catch the difficult ones as well.

I got the Itty Bitty straight away - and after a while, as you say, I got the BBB! B-)

The Nugget has still been elusive, though. So I have 10 out of 11, I've bronzed 4 of them, and will probably go back for more bronzing (but not necessarily of the BBB) soon.

I'm making a quick run through of the gauntlet again. I've got about 4 pieces of tier 7 cheese and I'd like to have a wee bit more before the easter event. Maybe even a piece or two of tier 8 cheese. I'm just going through about 100 piece of tier 2 cheese and then moving up, so it won't take me too long I hope. Then, if no other event has started, I'm going back to the living garden where I will sit and gather pieces for cheese for awhile.

I'm doing a Furoma run right now - and the Dojo is really trying on my patience ...

I had bought a token pack of each kind, and I can really see why people use those. I have lots of FTA with my Brie, and in between the Students I catch other mice (with some small-ish loot drops), so it will take me a long time to farm all the tokens I want.

But I want to do it properly at least once - then I may buy my way past the Dojo in the future ...

It's not a very great place for farming gold. I have 2 mil now, and I had thought this would be a good sum for an encounter with Ronza - but the other day I read a list of what she had to offer last year, and it seems I ought to be closer to 5 or 6 than to 2 :p

I think the two top mice here (in the Pinnacle Chamber) give a lot more gold, though. I want to collect a few Onyx Stones (I have crafted the Ambush, but a different trap needs 12 stones ...) - I'll see when I get there.

But I guess that when I've done the run, I need to go back to the Catacombs again, to farm more gold for Ronza shopping. And I should leave the ship well alone until later ...

Right now, I'm in Balack's Cove. I've been switching between hunting there, and Derr Dunes. I've found it extremely hard to farm Pinches of Annoyance. What trap set-up is best to catch the Elub Lich? I've been getting mixed answers from online guides, between the ACRONYM and the Ancient Box Trap.

Also, what is the best/fastest place to farm gold and points at my stage in the game?

At your stage in the game, the best place for points is Balack's Cove. You'll level up pretty quickly in there.

For gold. . . . I'm still going with the catacombs.

I'm on track to get more than 100 pieces of Graveblossom Camembert with my current living garden run. I'm hoping that that will be enough to nab 2 (or maybe 3) Twisted Carmines. . . . but it all depends on how many loot drops I get from the Cursed City and the Sand Crypts.

I just need one more Hix essence in order to craft an Icuri essence, and I've got enough lower level essences to be able to craft the Est essence and the Fel essence required for the blueprints to the Phantasmic Oasis trap.

My lucky golden shield expired two days ago, and I can definitely tell a difference in my catch rate. I'm going to try to get it back via surveys before I start using graveblossom cheese or else I might not get very many loot drops at all. . .

Ditto what DiGs said. I will add though that I remember making quite a lot of gold in the JoD/Cove as well.
My relationship with the POWN trap returned to a hateful one again the other day as it ftc a single Twisted Carmine out of the six it attracted. Boooo..... :P So I'm back at the beginning again, just about ready to move on to the Sand Dunes.
I totally forgot to mention that my husband and I did this rather cool little experiment last week. We both took 50 pieces of Dewthief cheese, headed over to the Sand Dunes, set up with the exact same setup, except that I had the GS and a luck charm and he did not. Sadly I deleted the exact number of drops we got, but the results were interesting. We had nearly identical petals and A essences drop, however, I had significantly more B & C essences drop than he did. Some of those Cs can be explained by the fact I caught more Grublings, but only three or fou out of about 10 total. So it does appear that luck makes a slight difference. Just thought I'd share that. :)

I have found during my "Furoma Patience Run" that although Dojo is a poor place for farming gold quickly, it's a good place for getting points!

I had only been looking at my gold number - thinking of Ronza - but when I looked at my points number, it had increased considerably. 2 or 3 hundred thousand in just a few days. As there are traps I'm not sufficiently experienced to use yet, experience points are worth getting, too (and I'm not at the stage for Balack's Cove yet).

And I guess that if I'm bored, I can craft cheese from the tokens I've got so far, go upstairs and catch some Masters and collect some shards, and then go downstairs again and farm some more tokens.

You need to use King's Credit for the tokens, then the speed is ultra fast, just go to mojo's with like 200+ cheese and SW and ur good :P
LoL, I actually did manage to get something like 400 dew petals, i think i went for 300 but whatever, I've been in sand dunes for a while now, and have 280+of the petal and like 155 dew petals left, I'm probably gonna go fr another 50 dew petals before going to Lost City, I never really did the mini game there cause it's so complicated cause of the curse and stuff :P
Hopefully this time I can get some twisted carmine or whatever it was called >:P
314 149 82 0 0 1 is my score so far for essence, I'm hoping this run will be better :P

Not a whole lot going on with me right now. I've been busy plus I'm leaving for vacation on Tuesday, so I'm camped out Slushy Shoreline for the unforeseeable future. I don't even have enough trap parts to craft the SL II so it's something that I've really got to do anyway. ;)) I'd go to the Gauntlet and knock out some of the earlier levels so I can hopefully be closer to the top by the time Easter comes, but I'm at the point where I'd have to start babysitting it a bit and I absolutely can't do that right now.

So, yeah. Hopefully Ronza doesn't come for two weeks or so because I just don't have time for her, lol!

I watched last Friday's FBF this morning. There was some interesting stuff in there...

It started off with a mysterious real-life letter from the Acolyte's Master threatening something about taking over the kingdom of Gnawnia I think. :P ;)) I imagine it pertains to the next tidbit of news...

The next segment of the Living Garden is going to be released very soon (today?). There was a lot of maniacal cackling involved with this as Jacob has finally gotten his way and it's going to be a long, painful, and "gritty" process of grinding to complete the area. They expect a lot of hate mail. But the reward at the end is going to be quite something apparently.

They're going to take down the Speed and Endurance tournament tabs as they hadn't planned on them sitting there for a year completely blank. Those tournaments have not been forgotten about and will be added someday, but I wouldn't look for them any time soon.

The next major Event is going to be the "Heart of the Snake" ;) ;)) I doubt that's what they'll call it, but it's the combined Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day event and it sounds like they have something cool planned for it. :)

No mention whatsoever of Ronza. [If you're going to sell stuff on the Marketplace to make money for her return, now is probably the time to do it. Once she's announced, the prices will likely plummet.]

The Wrapped Gift trap is going to have it's super bonus return again next year so it's a special time of the year trap I guess. Course by then we'll all have our Monstrobots (or something even better ) and it won't be that great. :P

Can't remember anything else that went on in the recording so I'll say that was basically it. :) Jacob's drawing something this Friday.

...............

My own progress: Still grinding through the Garden areas. Currently in the Lost City with 38 pieces of cheese to go before I move onto the Twisted Garden again.

I jumped in on Lady Arwen's treasure map as I still don't have the Ancient Amulet and would like to work on that occasionally as well. Plus, treasure maps are fun. :D I think my tentative plan is to spend my days in the Garden and then work on treasure maps overnight. Should keep me busy for a while. :)

If you mean the Sphynx Wrath, I won't be good for a while yet - it requires 78 mil points and I've only got 9 mil :p

But I've finished my "patience run" now. I wanted to do it once, and hereafter I expect to use tokens. I got some Onyx Stones, crafted Unstable Curd, and got a few batches of interesting cheese - I even tried for the Sensei, but I had to give up after a while. The Ambush probably isn't strong enough - or I didn't have enough luck to catch him in spite of the lack of strength. I'll save the rest of the special cheese for when I can come back with a stronger trap.

Now I'm back in the Catacombs for a while, to farm gold there - later I'll try the lowest tiers of the Gauntlet. And then, if Ronza isn't going to take all my gold, I'll use some of it to craft the ship and go to the Tribal Isles.

I've been reading some MouseHunt guides over the weekend, about the Iceberg and about Zugzwang's Tower. I'm amazed at the creativity of the devs!
And those areas aren't for the completely passive hunter. There's need for more than just logging on once a day and leaving the rest to trap checks. I don't know when - or if - I'll have time for that kind of careful playing, but I expect I'll have fun growing peppers in the Isles first. For a long time.

I'm at the end of my Living Garden run. . . and if I don't catch a Twisted Carmine with one of my last two pieces of Lunaria Camembert, I'll not get my Phantasmic Oasis Trap for a while :(

144A, 80B, 48C, 5D, 0E, 0F, 1G, 2H, 0I

EDIT: Didn't nab one. . . . . . drat :( . I cashed in all of my essences and now have the following:

0A, 2B, 0C, 2D, 2E, 0F, 2G, 2H, 0I

So what are you planning for the Bonus Luck Weekend?

I'll do another Furoma run, with Tokens bought for King's Credits this time ;)

I'm hoping to get lots of Shards from the Masters, and craft Rumble and go for the MoJo (and some more Onyx Stones).
Even with just the Ambush this works to some extent, even though the Sensei might be too hard to catch.
