I've been farming FF with Brie, and I'm up at about 95 FF now - until I realised that with Brie I'm not getting Ice Coins at all, so now I've started using the FF even when there is no toy to be built. I need all those Ice Coins - and I got one straight away ...

I hope there will still be some FF drop as well, enough to keep me going. I want to buy the Candy Cane Base as soon as we get the last letter - I need the Coins, of course, but I mustn't run out of FF either.

Candycane is indeed a powerful base at lower levels although the 8 luck really is nothing since basically all bases give 8+ luck at high lv
Also farming FF, I figured you need round 50-60FF for each toy and it increases based on how many mice have been released, I have like 40+now, hoping for 70 by the next release
I take back what I said about the gift...I got 9 Gouda and 1 Super Archer Charm...9 gouda...thats 1800gold...
Anyhow things are pretty anticlimactic rite now, just farming, not much to do

I just realised that it's only the Wrapped Gift Trap that requires that all the letters are out and that all the toys are built. I can buy the base as soon as I've got enough Ice Coins.

And I only need 3 more before I can buy it!
At my level it will be a great help when I need more luck.

I became a Grandmaster during the Halloween event - now I'm likely to become a Hero during this one. And I still haven't done a proper Furoma run - I want to do at least one, to see whether I like it or not.

I have finished all of the Christmas presents thus far! Yay!!! Hunting with Brie to get some more festive feta (even though I've got more than 100 pieces).

I actually finished the robot yesterday, so today I am stockpiling Festive Feta

It's the feta which will give us the Ice Coins eventually, so I'm aiming for at least a hundred feta before I change over.

I'm hunting with my luckiest setup (including my brand-new Candy Cane Base ), and am now at 98 % Legendary.

Well, I've gotten four toys wrapped and ready to give to Al. I'm also up to 65 Ice Coins.

I took a break from the event over the weekend to hang out in the Sand Crypts and got a second King Grub. Didn't get very many essences this time :S but he did drop three more petals. Up to a total of 13 so now I need to hit the Cursed City next. And I have a ton of cheese still left too so I'm hoping for a lot more than 13 cheese to go after Twisted Carmine with.

Well you catch him so you can give him his gifts. It does say that in the news and/or trap description.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about having to collect Greedy Al carcases.

My mom is having an absolutely horrid time in the event. She cannot get enough feta and winter charms, and has only finished one of the gifts. It makes me feel guilty for finishing all of the gifts save for the one that will release today

Yeah. But it's made it surprisingly motivating for me to get those presents, so I can show him the spirit of Christmas. I have a feeling Santa never gave him those gifts because he never received Al's letters. The Confused Courier was too confused to deliver those letters to the right address.

Right now, I have built all 5 toys, and am waiting for the 6th letter to come out. I have 112 FF, 114 Ice Coins, and 5 winter charms. Ice Coins are surprisingly rare, considering how many items you're expected to buy with them... I need to get the Wrapped Gift Trap so I can catch Al. Then I'm hoping to get both holiday bases. I don't expect I'll be able to get anything else besides that considering the difficulty of acquiring Ice Coins.

Is the Wrapped Gift Trap the only weapon that will be available this Christmas event?

I just caught the Confused Courier with the Last Letter. We're collecting "Scarf Parts"? Really? Not Balls of Yarn? Scarf Parts.

Anyway, I only have 77 Ice Coins so far and probably not enough Feta to finish this last toy. I hope I can harvest parts, Feta, and coins quickly enough to get the trap and a few other things before the Grand Gift Opening.

So I have to rant. I didn't get the last ball-in-a-cup, nor am I attracting mice that drop Festive Feta, of which I now have zero pieces. I am getting slightly annoyed. (Using SB+ and a Golden Shield to increase my chances)

You've got some time...no immediate rush to get the toy parts.

Oh, and the event is going to run into January.
