FOr some reason I really regret buying the Oasis bead off the market for 2.5million
Oh well, since I already have it nothing I can do about it :(
Val: Congrats on that White mouse, I never really caught it, skipped meadows and most of Gnawnia cause i joined in Christmas which was fast levels
LA: I guess you got some good reasoning, I just enjoy running FW even thought it takes forever :( You might as well buy the Keys since it is worth it I guess, 3 new areas definitely cool especially with the minigames which I guess aren't the most fun in the world but is like the best in MH right now :P THat KG, i got stopped at tier 6 or smthing and never went back
WEll, I took a shot at Twisted Garden with like 140 cheese, I probably will fail this run but who cares, its worth a try, I really want that new Oasis trap cause it will help in LG

@Varna, Congrats on the 100th White Mouse. :D
I wanted to toss a suggestion your way for you to consider. I know your goal is to make money, and the best possible way for you to do that right now is to get your ACRONYM trap and hit the Catacombs. You need two more things to do — an Onyx Stone (catch a Master of the Dojo) and several Scrap Metal (off of Scavengers in the Catacombs). Of course, the catch is that I don't know you'll be able to do that before the Christmas event, so you may want to stick with the Mousoleum.

Currently my goal is indeed to make money - I need it for stronger traps, and for anything coming up in the new event.

So the ACRONYM would help me against the red boxes in the Catacombs - because it's so much stronger, I presume?
I've already got 17 Scrap Metal, I think that's enough for the ACRONYM, but I need that Onyx Stone, which requires a (sprint) run through Furoma (or just parts of it?).

I also need another 60-70 000 points - I'm not up at the ACRONYM level yet. In the Mousoleum that should only take me a couple of days, though - or more, with more passive playing ...

Wouldn't I also need to buy The Mysterious Blueprints? I need a few more days in the Mousoleum just to reach the price for those, and then I would be down at zero Gold again. It might be better to stick with the Mousoleum, and see whether the new event brings me closer to the ACRONYM.

Honestly, I would work towards your ACRONYM as much as you can. It's your first really top-level trap you'll get, and it will be the best one overall you'll have for Indigenous mice for quite awhile because it has nice luck and power stats. Until the Living Garden was announced, it was the best Arcane trap in the entire game, so that gives you an idea of how much you'll use it. Once you get your ACRONYM, you can hunt in the Cats with relative ease, and it's just great to use pretty much anywhere that has Indi mice. I used it in the Moz, the Lab, anywhere in Gnawnia...just by far the best trap you can get at your level in the game.

And don't worry about wiping out your gold; you'll earn it back quickly once you hunt in the Cats. The Cats with the Acronym is the best money-earning place in the game until you're well into being a Knight. Plus you get to hunt scrap metal and runes, which are pretty useful (well, scrap metal not so much, but runes, definitely!).

You'll need an Onyx Stone, which you get by catching the Master of the Dojo mice. It's the second toughest mouse in Furoma so you have to go pretty far, but it's not that hard. What I did was buy a couple token packs with Kings Credits so I didn't have to waste a lot of time hunting Student Mice, and then went straight to hunting Masters so I could craft Rumble. Once you craft Rumble you can go after the Mojo, and you'll need to catch two of them for the stones; one stone for your Ambush trap (really nice Tactical trap) and another one for your ACRONYM.

If I were you, I'd start on Furoma now because it might take you a few days to get up to the point where you can catch the Mojo. You'll get the points you need pretty easily by the time you're done because each Mojo is 15,000 points.

BTW, you'll notice that I said you will want to craft the Ambush trap...I would do that as soon as you can, because it will be easier to catch more Mojo's with it because it's a lot better then your VMT.

Furoma is one of my favorite places in the game. Never spent a lot of time there, but I LOVE turning Onyx Stones into Unstable Curd and poking it for surprise cheese. ;)) Thanks to map chests, I got a TON of Master cheese so awhile ago I did a big hunt and collected quite a bit of Rumble. Saving it for a grand run at a lot of Mojo's!

Sorry if this is a bit overload; I started typing with the intent to be concise and got a bit carried away. ;)) It's just that I REALLY recommend getting your ACRONYM, so I wanted to help get you there as smoothly as I can! It's a fun stage, the one that you're in. Don't be afraid to venture out and go after the cool stuff. :D

ETA: *smacks head* Ignore what I said about two Onyx Stones. You only need one; you need a Master's Seal for the Ambush. Carry on... ;))

I bought some tokens with the Halloween candies, they will come in handy now then.
I'll take your advice, Gymfan15, and go to Furoma - will be a nice change of environment, too. I haven't caught a new mouse for a long time, it seems!

I've got some of what it takes to craft the Ambush, so I'll do that as soon as I'm able to, and then go on with Furoma. I've got two of the three parts of the Master's Seal as loot, so that's very useful, too!

Thank you so much for your help!

I'm sitting patiently in the Twisted Garden using my Duskshade Camembert. I've used 80 pieces so far and looted 49 Graveblossom Petals. At this rate I should come out with just over 100 pieces of Graveblossom cheese to farm the final cheese loots in the new areas. I'll probably move on to the Cursed City before the Christmas event starts, but if not I'll hold on to the cheese until I can get back.

Thank you again, fantasia_kitty and Gymfan15, for encouraging me to go for better traps!

I did it - it helped that I had bought some of the items I needed with Halloween Candy last month, and now I've crafted both the Ambush and the ACRONYM!

I'm currently hunting with the ACRONYM in the Catacombs, rebuilding my supply of gold - and it works so much better now than when I only used the Obelisk of Slumber ... :p

Waiting around for the drop in Balack's Cove...ho hum... ;)) I'm having fun with this assignment. I wonder if I can do it twice.... :P

I'm considering selling my Oasis Bead, since the price is high on the market right now and I probably won't be interested in crafting that trap until after the Christmas event. I'm thinking that even if I end up having to buy it back, I'll still have gotten a profit off of it...not sure. Anyone have any thoughts?

LA, I think if you do that you'll run the risk of paying more than you sell it for, but that's just me. Personally, I think you'd do better to hold on to it and craft the trap hen you're ready. :)

I'm up to 70 Graveblossom Petals with 83 pieces of Duskshade left. Doing pretty well, I think. Let's just hope the other two areas are as peaceful (ha!). ;))

Congrats on your traps, Varna!

Hi guys!

I'm new here..

Just started re-playing mousehunt again after a three year break. Was just looking around the web and I chanced upon this forum, :)

My hiatus probably explains me still trying to do the Tribal Isles at the rank of Knight. It also explains why I have the Magma base but missed out on all the super good traps from Ronza thereafter. :(

And since I completed the Halloween event and obtained the TST, I'll wait for 29 million points to get to the Jungle of Dread.. On 23million now, just completing a few friends' treasure maps here and there. Feel like the worst knight around.. :(

Nice to meet you guys!

Hi Jon, welcome! :) Wow, a three year break! Well the game has changed quite a lot since you left and yet the Magma Base is still the second best base in the game (and I still use it in some cases). ;))

Even if you just go back and do some of the areas that are new since you left and snag some of the new mice they've added, I think you'll get those last points you need quite quickly. Do you have the Chrome Drillbot by any chance? I think that came out very close to the same time as the Magma Base.

@wil, yeah, those last two petals are a royal pain. I forget now how many cheese I got to go after Twisted Carmine. I think ... 9? And a couple of those were because I bought the magic essence packs.

@Varna, congrats on your traps. :D I think those will help you out a lot!

@Wren, well, let me ask you this, what would you buy with the gold that you get from selling your Oasis Bead? Cause if you could buy two Sandblasted Metals for the price of one bead then I'd say Go for it! But if it's just to increase your gold supplies, I don't think it's worth it. But having said that, I do suspect that if Ronza makes her annual return in January, everyone will want to sell their beads to make money for her goodies and prices will drop. So it's up to you. :)

@wolf, looking forward to having you join us in the Garden.

As of this morning I am up to 204 Petals. One quarter of the way there, though I'm already hitting that bored and restless stage. ;))

ETA: Just got my first silver crown for the area. :)

I have the enraged RhinoBot with golden shield! So with magma base I have total luck of 37, that's like a Chrome RB without a golden shield.

The only LE stuff I have are the Magma base and the TST, and the Ancient Gauntlet.

I still need 6 million points!!

Just completing a treasure map now, then back to the tribal isles to hunt for some Pepper Seeds.

Ronza. Yup. That is *exactly* why.

Incidentally, prices have fallen by 200,000 since last night. I think I'm going to jump on it before it falls much farther, especially since I don't need the bead right now.

When was the metal that cheap??? It is, like 16mil and change right now. Wish I had seen that, I would have jumped on it and sold the metal. :P

Having an absolutely TERRIBLE time gathering Plumepearl Herbs. I had 50 some pieces of Graveblossom, and that has resulted in 3 herbs! 3?!?!?!?!

*wishes there was a way to capitalize a number*

That's just maddening.

Any ways. . . I've got 3 pieces of Lunaria, so I'm hoping to nab at least 1 Twisted Carmine with that. . . If I can get two, that may give me enough essences to craft an Icuri essence.

As far as essences go, I currently have:

130A, 86B, 54C, 9D, 0E, 2F, 1G, 0H, 0I

If I crafted ALL of those into upper class essences, that would give me a total of 1 Hix essence. . . wow. We're going to be here for the long haul ;))
