Well, I finally broke 200 Dewthief Petals. I turned in 200 of them for cheese, and I'm hunting in the Lost City now. I'll spend about 100 cheese here and then head over to the Sand Dunes. We'll see how well my hunting goes. I hope to get enough Herbs and Petals to craft close to 100 of the next level of cheese. :)

Do people still need spoilers? I think I'm the only person who doesn't like to be spoiled and I think I've got this area figured out except for the crafting recipes, those I don't care about.
I'll go ahead and spoiler this post just in case and if anyone speaks up I'll keep doing it. If not, I'm done with spoilers. ;)

My progress....

Spoiler
Well, I caught King Grub and all of his underlings. I did spend enough time there to take him all the way down to the green setting on the mini-game so he was an easy catch. Done with the Sand Dunes Mice. :)
Just to let people know, in the process of catching King Grub I used approximately 75-80 cheese and got 14 Lunaria Petals.
I had a few pieces of Graveblossom Camembert left so I peeked into the Cursed City really fast and decided rapidly that's going to be my least favorite of the new areas. What a pain. I kept catching that stupid Cursed Mouse (or whatever the upgraded version is called) and all three curses would reset before I could get rid of them. X( So I didn't get far. Just caught a couple of the mice there.
Anyways, back in the Living Garden again collecting lots of Petals and Essences in preparation for round two. :)

So I gotta be perfectly honest. After they hyped up the LG as a team area back in the day, I'm a little disappointed at the result. :P Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited to have a change of scenery from the Warpath, but it's not what I was expecting and hoping for. (Plus I like challenging areas, and this is not. But that's just personal preference. ;)) )
Kat and I were chatting the other day that maybe they couldn't get it worked out the way they wanted to and did the Treasure Hunts instead (which I LOVE).
At any rate, I'll just keep on trucking through collecting stuff. :)

ETA @ Varna: The cool thing about MH is that you can be as crazy active (*raises hand*) or passive (ceppault and EtJ) as you want and still enjoy the game. You should definitely play the way you like and don't feel pressured to rush through the lower levels.
You're right, joining MH during event season has its pros and cons. On one hand, you level REALLY fast and get lots of gold and points, far more than if you were going through normally. On the other hand, because of that, you do miss out on the lower level hunting. I guess that's one of the nice things about tournaments and treasure hunts, you get to revisit some of those areas you blew through before.

FK, that is pretty discouraging. I'm not as excited for the area as I was, but I'm liking the ability to take it slowly and not rush through. I'm just hoping that gathering the higher level essences won't be too terribly painful. ;)) I also hope that I have enough Duskshade starting out to get me through a full run of the Twisted areas. Your experience makes me think I should try for double the amount of my original estimate.

I'm in the Lost City. I've used 24 pieces of Dewthief cheese and I'm up to 50 Dreamfluff Herbs, 72 Aleth Essences, 25 Ber, and 7 Cynd. :)

Oh by the way, the boss mouse I caught dropped

Spoiler
1 Dol Essence, 1 Est Essence and 1 Fel Essence.
Thought I'd mention that to assist in people's calculations. :)

I'm too impatient to sit in one area and stick it out if I don't have to, so I'll probably bounce back and forth. I'm definitely not ceppault in the King's Gauntlet. ;)) Going for 80-100 Dewthief before moving on again.

Yesterday I participated in a huge boys vs girls Dragon hunting contest, which included a couple special Dracano tourneys that the Devs created just for us. :D I'm pleased to announce that the girls won quite handily, and my tourney team placed top 50% in the 24h Dragon tourney!

My personal stats weren't that great...I hunted with about 80-90 pieces of Inferno Havarti and 22 Dragonbane charms (some were mine, some I bought, some were gifts and others I won) and I only caught 12 Dragons. At one point in the day I had a streak of five consecutive Dragon FTC's, and another time I had four. >_< Oh well!

Anyway, I won a bunch of orbs and DBC's throughout the day in mini-competitions, and since the girls won, we get to split a pretty huge prize pot of SB+ and gold between about 300 of us. :D So I'm pretty happy about that.

In other news, I'm camped out in the Lagoon trying to catch a BW for a map. There's a REASON I don't do maps with BW's but this one just snuck up on me and now *I* have to catch it. Bleh. :p ;)

Then eventually I'll go to Furoma - and if it's good for farming gold, I should be able to buy stronger traps!

The Mousoleum and Catacombs are MUCH better. . . you might look into those before too long.

Perhaps I should do a round in the Mousoleum - I only went in to have the Lycan drop me the map, because I had already caught all the mice there during the event - as we just said ... (there are more Crowns to earn, though).

Then I'll go to Furoma next because it is next, but I see that there is no need to spend extra time there for farming gold, I can just as well go on to the Catacombs. There are some mice in there that I haven't got - I've got the whole Shadow Clan, but only one Forgotten.

I was glad that my only catch of a BW so far was on a treasure hunt, so others could benefit from it, too!

I'm not using spoilers any more. . . so sue me :P

I'm having a marginal run through the Twisted Garden. Up to 58 Graveblossom Petals. With 66 pieces of Duskshade left I might have enough to get to the 100 mark.

Any news on the trap recipes yet (Or more specifically, the blueprint recipes)?

(It's been more than 24 hours, so...)

An update on my progress: I spent 100 Dewthief in the Lost City and did very well. I ended up with 209 Dreamfluff Herbs. I headed to the Sand Dunes and haven't been doing as well (mostly because I haven't built RP yet, but I don't see the point when I'm going to need that gold to build the Clock Portal). I've used 61 pieces of Dewthief and only looted 87 Duskshade Petals. I've headed back to the Living Garden to farm more Dewthief Petals so I can hopefully get 200 Duskshade cheese and head into the Twisted Garden before too long. I think the Lost City is my favorite place so far because the loot drops were fantastic there. That may have changed with the Monday morning tweaks they installed, but I'm not sure.

I don't have too much to report on here. I'm in the Twisted Garden collecting Graveblossom Petals and then I plan to head to the Cursed City. Not having the best luck this time around, lots of FTCs. Up to 11 petals so far with 55 cheese left. But I only have 6 more catches to go before pouring Red and Yellow Dewdrops onto the ground. :P

@Stwin, I didn't hear about the tweaks, is there a link somewhere saying what they did? Or did they just say they put in tweaks? I'm wondering if that's why I'm not getting many petals.

To Varnafinde

You should definitely play the way you like and don't feel pressured to rush through the lower levels.

I definitely play to enjoy myself with goals that nobody else shares. If I find something particularly irritating, I will skip messing with it For instance, Zugzwang's Tower. I thoroughly enjoyed the King's Gauntlet. I played various areas of the game only to obtain certain traps to complete the Gauntlet.

Quite a bit I will likely skip playing; and still I level up gradually. :)

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

This is a semi spoiler, but I think it's something y'all would REALLY want to know moving forward. All the same, I'll put it in a spoiler box, but I really think y'all should see it ;)

Spoiler
Failing to Catch a King Grub mouse does NOT reset your meter. I'm assuming that it only resets upon a successful catch.

I'm still here, haha, I've been farming up some cheese, so how many of those dusk cheese should I have before going into the twisted gardens and stuff?
I've seen the trap stats, pretty strong I must say but it was quite expensive from what I've seen

Wil, I would shoot for about 150. That may or may not get you through everything, but it would put you off to a good start.

BTW: If you don't have The Reaper's Perch. . . you'll need it here I think. The Clockapault and Cackle Lantern just aren't strong enough for this new area I think.

EDIT: I nabbed Twisted Carmine, and officially wiped out all of the mice in the Living Garden ;). It's nice for that "Breed's caught" tab to read 373/373 again ;)). I've got 12 more pieces of Lunaria Camembert, so hopefully I can nab a few more ;)

In my Living chest, I received:

Spoiler
1 Fresh Twisted Garden Soil
1 Fel essence
1 Gur essence

Woot! Congrats, DiGs!

The recipe for the Grand Arcanum Blueprints has been discovered: 1 Gur Essence + 1 Icuri Essence.

I'm still farming Dewthief Petals. It's going much more slowly than before the tweaks this Monday. I'm up to 57 Petals, and aiming for 80-something. Then I'll return to the Sand Dunes and continue farming Duskshade Petals. I'm hoping to have 200 Duskshade going in after Carmine.

Now to decide what I'll try crafting first once I get my Twisted Carmine.
