I finished my first ZT run! *happy dance* Wasn't as bad as I feared. Granted, I did use SB+, but I wanted to make sure that I got through my first run cleanly. And I got my Library card, so woot.
Right now I'm in the Library, where I plan to work on Catalog assignments until I can get a Tower assignment, at which point I'll head back for the Mystic side. In-between doing that, I need to finish off a map I'm on, recharge my amp, participate in a HUGE Dragon hunting tourney on Saturday, and find time to head to the Iceburg. The 'berg keeps getting pushed further and further down my list of priorities, lol. It is just going to take so stinkin' long to do, and it's not game progressing. I guess I will make sure I get my Sandtail Call to Arms first, and then work on the Iceberg until I level up to Baroness. Which probably won't be until New Years or later, depending on how much the GWH sets me back in terms of rank progression.
Yeah, there's definitely something to be said for having so much to do and not enough time to get it done before I rank up, I'm pretty sure. I remember being stuck in TI and being so BORED waiting to level up, and now I've got too much to do!
LOL, so the LG hasnt been released just yet, but it should come sometimes this or next week
Well, I'm getting Spiked base now, I think it will help with Brutal Bulwreck or whatever it was called, anyone have any strategies for Iceburg? Cause it's not one of those stay and brute force your way through like Warpath at least if you want to go to the deep place it isn't
gosh:( it's so annoying, a few more farming sprees at Slushy shoreline, maybe I should finish the zealot base thingy? any ideas?
3:45am here and I see that the devs have posted a COMING SOON trailer on their FB page for the Living Garden. So I'm thinking... later today?
@wil, starkat found a really helpful spreadsheet, though I'm not sure about the Chrome Charms. But it gives you a pretty solid strategy for the best way to get through.

Also, I paired Iceburg runs for Bottled Cold Fusion with farming more materials since those chests at the end have a nice amount in them. I only farmed in the Shoreline when I needed just one of something or I didn't need anymore BCFs.
That trailer is pretty awesome! These people need to make Mousehunt the movie!

What's this? Nobody has posted?!?!
Hope you all have your Oasis trap because the Living Garden is out. As well as two other new areas that tie in directly with the Living Garden. wolf, ramagut, and Lady Arwen, one of you three will have to tell me if you can go to the Lost City or Sand Dunes without the Living Garden Key cause I'm kind of curious. I'm guessing not though.
Here's what I've done so far.....
I have collected 6 Dewdrops, 7 Dewthief Petals, and 4 Aleth Essence.
I made one Bar Essence out of three of the Aleth Essence (see recipe in the Book of Living Recipes), and shortly thereafter discovered that Aleth Essence are used to purchase Sponge Charms. Whoops! LOL
My thoughts on the new area(s)....
Also happy to see that the Lost City is Arcane and the Sand Dunes is Shadow. Needed new Arcane and Shadow areas.
New stuffies that I've found....
I just got owned, Oasis bead price just went to 2.5mil I'm not ready to use that kind of money yet, so I guess using the MK3 will just have to do, I'm not sure how LG works but all I know now is hunt there, an it seems like there are actually 3 locations released instead of one
Here's what I've done thus far:
Any ways, that got me 11 dewleaf petals and 6 Aleph crystals.
Wanting a change of scenery, I headed over to the Lost City. There, you can use your Aleph crystals to buy Searcher charms. Catching a mouse with a searcher charm lifts the curse on the city, and allows you to nab the mice that are dropping various essences (I've gotten Aleph and Ber thus far) as well as dreampuff herbs (got 9 of those so far). That being said, if you catch a Cursed Mouse, the curse descends back onto the city.
Once I get the hang of things here, I'll probably head over to the Dunes just because I love using my shadow traps, and this seems like the best area to do so
Good luck everybody!!!

Kind of regretting that I didn't pick up at least one Oasis bead awhile back when they were like, 400k. Oh well. It will be a LONG time before I'm in the LG and hopefully I'll either loot them by then, or the prices will drop to something a little more reasonable.

*Must get key*
Anyways bronzed the cherry, silvered the bear and chameleon... Just two more mice on the map. (Nibbler and ninja )

I just noticed something neat about the essences:

I'm glad I've got a gold stash. This place appears to be rather expensive.
Discovered something by rereading the cheese descriptions (probably very obvious, but I missed it the first time)...
I stumbled across something in the forum:
Separate spoilers so that people who don't want to read something from off the forum can avoid it.
A few more things:
That's all for now All posted separately
EDIT: Nabbed Carmine:
On catching Carmine the Apothecary, a light flashes and a spell she had prepared in advance erupts! Nightmarish tendrils of dark smoke burst from the ground around me, and before I knew it the world had changed before my very eyes into a wild and twisted version of itself.
I can feel this world itself attempting to reject me and send me back, but I must stay as long as I am able to find out what Carmine is doing in this hidden, dark place.

@Gymmie, in all the excitement, I totally forgot to tell you congrats on completing your first Z's Tower run.
Yeah, you can always come back to the Iceburg later. Like after you have the Phantasmic Oasis Trap perhaps?
@wolf, thanks, that answers my question.
/continues to avoid spoilers and has nothing else to reply to
My own personal progress....
Got a nice stash of Dewthief Petals which I will use to buy Dewthief Camembert before moving on, so yay
Also getting a few essences. 6A, 5B, 1C

There aren't a lot of guides on the MH forums yet, but I've been gathering what information I can on the new area, particularly regarding crafting and the amount of loot required.
I've decided that I need to sit in the LG for a while and gather Dewthief Petals and Aleth Essence to prepare for each area. I'm planning to farm 200 Dewthief Petals so that I can spend about 100 Dewthief Camemebert in each of the other two areas. That should put me in a good position to gather the other cheeses I will need.
ETA: I am up to 48 Dewthief Petals, 22 Aleth Essence, and 1 Ber Essence.
