Points are accumulative... they don't decrease at all when you make purchases... The points required part is kind of like the minimum lvl you can be to unlock buying that object. The only way you will ever lose points is if a mouse cripples your courage.

Gold is what you actually spend to make the purchases (though you may spend certain items during events and for higher lvl areas, like War Scraps in the Iceberg)

Which means I'll be able to get a better base as well :D

Thank you for clarifying :)

Yeah, sorry if that was not clear. :) I admit I was a bit confused at your post at first because I know we loaded you up with gold and you should have been able to afford both right off the bat. ;) Glad you got it figured out!

You certainly did load me up :)
I have bought both the trap and the base and I still have plenty of gold left :D

I suppose I could do some crafting soon, but I need to learn first, and learning will have to wait for later. ;)

1:15 pm - Seasonal Garden
I checked my trap and found that I had caught a mouse! I caught a 8 oz. Relic Hunter Mouse worth 650 points and 935 gold.

The mouse also dropped the following loot:
1 Treasure Map Scroll Case

lol congrats Dot!

Question for the upper ups!

So, I need the Charm shop in order to get the Blacksmith and I need the General Store to get the Charm shop, right? Does this mean for now I can skip building the cheese shop and just build these two so we can finish our map more (sort of) quickly or do I need another shop/need to do them in order for some reason?

You can do them in absolutely any order. Here's the pro's and con's of rebuilding each of them:

Cheese Shoppe:
PROS: You get Gouda for 600 per piece, which means no more traveling back to the isles to get it at a good price for the warpath. You also get some Super Brie for completing it, which (at the current prices) could be worth a LOT

CONS: it's going to use up crafting supplies that you'll need if you want quick access to the Living Garden

General Store
PROS: I think the biggest pro of rebuilding the general store is that they allow you to trade in your building supplies in exchange for other building supplies. I always seemed to have WAY more limestone bricks than I did anything else, but you can buy 1 coconut timber for three bricks (plus gold) and you can buy one shard of glass for three timbers (plus gold). Another thing that they have is molten glass, which is necessary for some of the other buildings.

CONS: Same as Cheese Shoppe. They also don't sell anything else very useful.

Trapsmith
PROS: If you have really terrible luck at getting loot drops, they sell some traps that may make the gauntlet slightly less miserable.

CONS: It takes a LOT to rebuild it, their traps are pricey (and aren't jaw droppingly wonderful). Best to skip the trapsmith ;)

Charm Shoppe
PROS: Where can I begin?! You can by super power charms, super luck charms, lucky power charms, all of which are nice. You can also buy monger charms, which cause warmongers to drop more (and better) loot. According to the stats I've seen, monger charms also slightly increase your chance for a loot drop (but not by much, and this hasn't been confirmed by the devs). Another big pro is that you can start getting artisan charms, which will allow the mage weaver and blacksmith mice to be attracted to your traps.

CONS: None that I can think of. . . it's the best of the shops, IMHO. Rebuild it as soon as you can ;)

Cartographer
PROS: You get the living garden key.

CONS: It takes a good deal of papyrus, and a lot of patience.

So make your own order. . . just keep everything in mind and you'll do fine.

Thanks Digs :)

I guess I'll start with the General Store, then the Charm Shop, then the Cartographer... and after that probably just whatever I can rebuild first.

Right now I have 45 limestone, 36 timber, and 53 shards of glass.

2 mice to go on our map the Blacksmith and Mystic King.

I am working my way back through the gauntlet again and just dropped back to tier 1. I'm aiming to get a small stockpile of each type of cheese, so I want to have about 200 pieces of tier 4 cheese before jumping on to the next level. I'm about at half that. I'm also jumping around a bit if I join in a tourney or a map of course. :)

I'm still somewhere in Wave 2 on my fourth Warpath run. I took a side trip for a ZT tourney and now a Furoma tourney. I'm 69 Tokens away from my Golden Base. :)

I'll likely return to the Warpath for a long haul before the Halloween event. Mayeb I can get a loot drop this time. I really need to finish six runs so I can buy Monger charms.

So all of a sudden, this idea just... popped into my head to post my catch chart... ;). So here goes. I'm using Wolf's template, and will omit the categories that aren't applicable for me. And yes, my list is going to look pretty sparse compared to Wolf's, as well as a lot of the other ones out there :P.

Indigenous Mice
-Caught: 31/39 (missing Crown Collector and SB+ only mice)
-Crowned: 23/39
Gladiators
-Caught: 25/34 (haven't done much hunting here... that'll change now that I have the SE trap)
-Crowned: 6/34 (pathetic :| )
Forest Guild
-Caught: 13/24
-Crowned: 13/24
The Shadow Clan
-Caught: 7/7 (can hold my head up here at least :P)
-Crowned: 6/7 (missing Lycan)
Dirt Dwellers
-Caught : 7/11 (again, haven't hunted here that much)
-Crowned: 0/11 (see?)
Followers of Furoma
-Caught: 14/17 (one of my favorite areas btw)
-Crowned: 7/17
The Forgotten Mice
-Caught: 13/19
-Crowned: 8/19 (need to be working here)
Aquatic Order
-Caught: 16/17 (missing Leviathan)
-Crowned: 14/17 (Missing Leviathan, Cook, Shelder)
The Elub Tribe
-Caught: 3/12 (this is about as far as I've gotten in the game... be prepared for some low, low numbers coming up)
-Crowned: 3/12
The Nerg Tribe
-Caught: 3/12
-Crowned: 3/12
The Derr Tribe
-Caught: 8/12
-Crowned: 3/12
The Dreaded Horde
-Caught: 1/8 (pygmy :P)
-Crowned: 1/8 (guess who?)

That's it... I'll update again once I'm Knighted... 52% of the way there.

Pretty good list you got going there Astro... Just having the Shelder alone is a remarkable feat.

Ok, lets see updates...

First off someone probably posted this way back when it actually happened, but I suppose I'll clarify now:

-You no longer need the Steam Laser Mk. II/III to catch the Icewing, however you still must make at least two trips through the Iceberg. I found this out after I caught the Icewing without the Mk. II. A quick check of the wiki page confirmed this.

Secondly, I was probably beat here too, but I was reading up on the forums regarding the Leprechaun and the current word on the street is

Spoiler
it has been released into the game as an extremely rare encounter such as how one might encounter the other prize mice (ex High Roller, Mobster)
Also the new design has entered the game ;)

And finally, I can get in a progress update. Bronzed the Riptide and an 8th Market Mouse. Caught the Blacksmith finishing our map. Also caught the Mage Weaver and (finally #:-s ) the Fall Familiar. Right now I'm sitting in the Forbidden Grove waiting to enter the Acolyte Realm in an attempt to catch the Chrono.

Saving my gold until the Halloween event... If I have time I'll go after the Garga and/or General Drheller and build the Cartogropher before hand. Shortly after I accomplish what I want to do with the event I'll probably work on a tower run or two... (I need to get rid of that task lol)

Also wanna get back to work on tourneys... so if anyone wants to do a Forbidden Grove/Acolyte Realm one count me in :P

(Edit: Nabbed the Chrono earlier)

You've really been getting a lot accomplished Wolf ;). Hoping you get lucky and encounter a Leprechaun soon! And I'm more then ready for a tourney... I think I can at least help a little in that region.

Yeah, I had seen that on FB but hadn't had a chance to post much of any news on here. Been busy, I think everyone in this thread knows why. ;)) I haven't even made it through all of the last FBF but the first half of it didn't have much to report on. I believe they made some big announcement about a new mobile site? But I haven't made it that far into the video yet.
At any rate, the Leprechaun is one of two mice I haven't caught yet and now I have a chance to do so... small though it is. ;))

So, I'm going to do a catch-all congratulations to everybody on their various achievements! :D Particularly wolf on her Chrono Mouse, that's a big one. :D

I really have nothing to report myself. Just waiting on Spring in the Seasonal Garden to finish up my current Treasure Map. Hanging out in the Warpath working through Wave 1 (almost done). Hoping some Warpath or ZT tournies will pop up in the relatively near future. As soon as Winter arrives in the SG, I'm gonna go recharge my amplifier. That's about it. ;))

I'm thinking maybe in the next week and a half to two weeks the Halloween event will start? I sure hope so. :D I'm putting my money on Monday the 22nd. ;)
